    We added this camera to our existing Ring security system to help improve coverage. It was easy to install/mount and super easy to pair with our Ring system. The clarity of the video is great both day and night. The camera was a little costly but I intend to upgrade my other older cameras over the next 4-6 months.

    Battery dies too quick for me… buy the backups bc you will need them… the optional plan is also a necessary to get the most out of it…but it has survived 2major storms 1 of which was a hurricane and remained in tact.

    so far so good, but i wish it came with two batteries since there is space for two. also, the birds eye view isnt as percise as it should be

      It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the Bird's Eye View feature. You can set up Bird's Eye Zones for more precise motion detection and more relevant Motion Alerts up to 9 metres from your Ring Spotlight Cam Pro. To set up Bird's Eye Zones, follow these steps:
      Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
      Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
      Tap your device's Settings.
      Tap Motion Settings.
      Tap Set up Zones on the map at the top or Bird's Eye Zones below it.
      Tap Set up Feature.
      When prompted by the app, enter the location where your camera or doorbell is installed.
      Drag the map until the device icon is in the right position, marking the location of your device as accurately as you can.
      Use the slider to rotate the map, marking the direction of your camera’s view.
      For cameras only: For optimal motion detection, set the correct mounting height and tap Continue.
      Tap Edit to adjust your zone so it only covers the area you want to monit. If you choose Skip for now, a default zone will be used.
      Tap the zone and drag the circles to define a new area.
      Rename the zone and tap Done.
      Tap Start test to test your Bird's Eye Zones, then tap Confirm to complete setup.

    We love this product! The camera is great and you can add a a device on Alexa. She will announce when someone comes by. Also, this camera has a battery, so a backup spare would be handy. No wiring necessary. You mount it and add a a device.

    This is the 3rd Ring camera I have purchased. Love that I am able to monitor what is going on around my home. It gives us peace of mind. I like that I was able to adjust the settings to simply monitor my driveway and not intrude on my neighbors' privacy. Definitely would recommend. The white Spotlight Cam Pro also blends in with the trim that it is mounted on

    Cloud alerts are almost spontaneous. Sound is great. Wish Ring could bump up the video quality a little more (min 2k). Top of the camera is little rubbery and dust can stick on it easily, otherwise the camera is of very good quality.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. We are happy to share some tips with you for troubleshooting why your Ring device may be experiencing issues with video quality. If your phone or tablet has poor service or internet, it could be affecting "Live View" or your video downloads. Try turning Bluetooth off, then open "Live View" or view a recorded Ring video. Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including video quality. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Reboot your Ring doorbell or camera by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your device. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

      It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."

      Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts", please follow these steps:
      Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
      Tap "Devices."
      Tap the device that you want to adjust.
      Tap "Motion Settings."
      Tap "Smart Alerts."
      Tap "Enable Feature."
      Tap "Continue."
      Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
      You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.

    I am going to return it. This this only comes with one battery and goes dead and turns off even while plugged into the 110 outlet. I also purchased the solar panel think it would be maintenance free and just need a WiFi signal. It will definitely not stay running on solar and one battery. It also goes dead while plugged it. So depending on the location you put this device then I can see it being useful. In my case on the peak of my room this thing is just not what I need. It also doesn’t send a warning that it’s recording.

      It sounds like you enjoy the features of the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro, but the battery is draining faster than expected. The rechargeable battery can go months between recharges with normal use; however, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured.

      During the winter months, it's important to note that at temperatures below 40°F, lithium polymer batteries are less effective at holding a charge. Since Ring devices use lithium polymer batteries, when the temperature drops below 40°F, it may be necessary to charge your battery more often. Battery performance will return to normal once the weather warms up and remains above freezing.

      You can go to Power Settings in the Ring app to see what features may be draining your battery. Follow these steps to access Power Settings:

      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the dashboard.
      Tap Devices
      Tap the individual device (video doorbell or security camera) you want to check
      Tap Power Settings to check your Battery Level percentage and Feature Power Usage
      Tap a feature to adjust Snapshot Capture, Motion Frequency and Video Recording Length
