This is the perfect camera for a view to the entire front of our home. The alarm feature is a definite plus. Installation was done professionally and we are extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I selected the connectivity that I needed, which was "Wired". When shopping this product at any other site, that is the option listed, as well as the product offered. I wasn't until I received the shipment notification that I saw the word "Plug-in". I panicked because that wasn't what I ordered, went to the website, and found "Plug-in" wasn't even a connectivity option. I do realize now that the photo shows a plug wire, and the product description states Plug-in. Other retailers (including the Ring website) show the 4 options as Battery, Wired, Plug-in, & Solar, so it was just really frustrating that the research I had done to purchase this product turned out to be useless on this website. It's very misleading and turned out to be a waste of time and drive to the store to return.

I was expecting this to come as wireless with rechargeable battery But it came with a plug-in. Trying to see how this can fit otherwise will return.

There are currently three different powering options: battery, solar, and plug-in. It appears you may have purchased the incorrect model. But don't worry, you can use your device in battery mode by installing a Ring quick release battery pack.
