When I first turned on this item, it worked for a short while and then the fan stopped working. I had to return it for a refund.

Definitely keeps the room cool, just make sure a window is cracked open for good air flow

This Air cooler does exactly what it suppose too. Adding a mixture of cold water & Ice is how it works best. I always use the cool option & on high fan speed. This cooler works best if you actually have it directly facing you. I use it in my bedroom..close the door & keep the window open. It also helps if you have a fan facing you on the opposite of the room...the fan helps circulate the cool air.

For starters its pricey, i could've just saved up a little more and bought an AC,but i was impatient. Also it doesn't cool all that good, seriously i was pretty upset. it also got moldy in the water tank for some reason. i had to put ice in it to feel a little bit cooler. My room isnt all that big either so i thought it would've cooled better but nope. If you want to cool off you gave to be face-to-face with it that the only reason im giving it 2 stars

It make me feel cool on summer when I used it in my room.

leaked after 2 weeks, but may be due to condensation as it was a humid 2 weeks, not recommended for NYC weather

I compared other portable evaporative air cools but this model proved to be the best choice for its price.

I was very happy with the product for the first two weeks since it helped cool off my room but then after approximately 2 weeks, there was a weird noise clicking with one of its lights keep blinking and everytime I turn it on, it doesn't turn on anymore. I just used it last night and when I was going to use it again this morning, it doesn't turn on anymore. I dont know what happened but I took very good care of it when I used it. The light and the clicking sound is still making a weird noise until now. I am going to return this to the nearest bestbuy and will just purchase a more reliable brand. I dont trust SPT brand anymore.

just to let people know about evaporative coolers if you have one remember this is texas and with high humidity they don't work well if you were in Arizona new mexico or some place with heat but low humidity they work great its just to humid here to really work properly because the pads become over saturated which makes these units less efficient at working
