Customers are overwhelmingly positive about the Spyro Reignited Trilogy's graphics, fun factor, and the nostalgic experience it provides. Many also appreciate the game's price and improved controls compared to the originals. While some found the download size and occasional difficulty challenging, the positive aspects largely outweigh these minor drawbacks. The remastered visuals and music were also frequently praised.

I loved playing the Spyro series as a kid, and I was so excited to find the 3 part series in one game, that can be played portably on the Switch. The price cannot be beat, and I’m so excited to own a physical copy!

If you haven’t picked up a game since Spyro came out on the PlayStation, there is a bit of a learning curve to the controls since they are more reactive than the original. Having all three games added together really makes me feel like they remastered it out of love and not profit. It’s every bit of fun and nostalgic as I thought it would be. I still have my original PlayStation sitting right next to my switch with the classic game next to it. Even if you didn’t play this game growing up, it’s best for those of us who like a rather simple straightforward game that rewards accuracy and not strategy.

I never played Spyro as a kid and wanted some games I can play with my kid. This is a pretty slick remake that looks good and has sharp controls. I bought it on sale awhile back and have had a lot of fun with it since. Can def. recommend it for someone who has never played it before or wants a real step up from the PS1.

I owned Spyro back on the PS1 when I was a kid. I remember getting it not long after it came out and I played it all the time. I had beat it 100% with every coin, thief and level finished. It's exactly how I remember it but it looks so much better now. They did a great job at remastering the game. Thank you for doing so! I highly recommend it.

I never grew up playing this. I preferred Crash Bandicoot. Wish i got a chance to play in the past. I was missing out. This game is a lot of fun!! For all ages! Definitely one to pickup. And for the price I got it for during the sale! Amazing!!

Excellent game, plays just how I remember it on the PS1. I got it for my kids to play, and so far they love it like I did. Loading takes quite a while between levels, but other than that it's great.

Sometimes a ported version of a game have glitches but I did not encounter any, it looks nice on the HDTV with none of the typical up-scaling artifacts that you typically see when you hook up an older system to a new TV. This is a good buy if you grew up with this game and want to revisit that era.

I loved playing the original spyro trilogy back in the days on my psone, and to see a remake of this game with new and improved graphics is just amazing! I think the switch version is the best as you can take it on the go and definitely a great game for all ages too!

While this review is being written near the completion of the Spyro 1 remaster - I will say I have very much enjoyed the Reignited Trilogy on Switch. The biggest thing that hit me immediately is how pretty the game and it's environments looked. It's beautiful, the animations and effects are extremely well done and this ends up being one of the best looking games available on on the Switch. The game controls well and I experienced nearly no performance issues outside of loading screen transitions.
The controls have a small learning curve to them if you're not very used to Spyro games, I found the jump arc and gliding to feel a bit "off" after coming from games like Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. Some of the levels feature very hidden collectibles that require very specific path routes on speed pads paired with jumps to where you are almost GUARANTEED to look it up online to figure it out. (I've encountered this about three times, but you're in no way required to collect 100% of the collectibles or anything.)
When playing the game handheld, the framerate feels very solid. It's not like BoTW where the FPS dips and lags more when playing outside of the dock, however - some fairly obvious resolution drops / downscaling is apparent. It's not enough to be noticeable in a bad way, but if you're someone who is used to high res and is bothered by that sort of thing, just a heads up.
I think the PC version has got to be the definitive way to see this game in it's true graphical prowess. But this port looks and runs wonderfully, I cannot speak for the 2 additional titles included in this trilogy - but so far about 7 hours in, I adore it.
(PS: there is a required Digital Download for Spyro 2 & 3 - it's somewhat substantial so you would want to have a good SD card at the ready.)

Bought this for $24. Worth every penny! Is it the same feeling as being in 6th grade playing on PS1 hammering out the gems and dragons one by one? No but it certainly hits the nostalgia factor on everything I would have hoped for especially for the low cost. Plus you get Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon too. I enjoyed this game and would recommend for anyone looking to fill a void of nostalgia.

I still remember playing this on PlayStation. Details weren’t as intricate as the switch version. Graphics run smooth. Additionally, there’s something about jumping off cliffs. It’s so satisfying to glide through terrains and breathe fire!
I can’t get enough!

Spyro is a fun series similar to Crash that began on the Nintendo rival's, Sony Playstation. It's nice to see the series come full circle with a remastered release on all current consoles including the Nintendo Switch. I own this game on PC, Xbox One and now Switch with the Switch version being my go to platform as I can play it about anywhere. The Switch version requires a download of approximately 6.3GB for the extra titles so you are best to have a MicroSD card installed if you want to play these later games. That said it's still smaller than the download required on the other consoles. Still the game holds up on Switch and looks great at a slight resolution downscale at 30fps. All around the game is very playable and looks great with all things considered. If you have a Switch and enjoy 90's platformers, I can highly recommend this game.

Played these games when they were first released on Playstation. They did a great job at updating the graphics for the switch and other new generation consoles. If you liked the old games youll like enjoy replaying these.

Great remaster of a great game. Plays smoothly and looks good on the Switch. Better than Crash games and a good alternative when you've had enough Mario.
