I haven't had a battery failure so I haven't tested it in a real situation. I like its specs. It should be able to jump start my car battery. I actually have it on my boat. It has two functions: 1) It can charge USB devices (no need to wire a USB outlet into the boat). 2) I suppose it might be able to jump start the boat engine in the event of battery failure. Not sure if its built for that but if this occurs, I'll try it since it's better than rowing. If I need it for the car, I can fetch it from the boat and use it then. It charges very rapidly. Fairly compact. I wish the charge clips were a little bit less bulky which would make it easier to store.
