When I first heard about this game, I was really hoping for a battlefield-esque experience. Riding in AT-AT's, transporting troops with shuttles, the whole nine. What I got instead was an enjoyable arcade like experience. Vehicles are used with drops, there are no classes and the action is fast with dying pretty much guaranteed. This isn't what I wanted, but I'm happy with the direction of the game and the entertainment value that it gives.

If you like star wars then its a must have. DICE did a great job. Does feel a bit incomplete but worth every minute of your time. Easy to put up and play

This game starts out amazing. It's everything you ever wanted. After about 8 hours, you realize it's the same thing over and over. It's still fun, with friends. But your enthusiasm will wear out quickly. You'll end up wishing that you wanted to play it. But you can always shell out cash for the 4 incoming expansions to flesh it out into a full game. Yeah, it's a cash cow structure. But, honestly, it is fun.

As I try to astray from only sports games, and enter the world of 1st person shooter I'd like to think this is a good start. The purchase was a no brainer after downloading the demo. The graphics are beautiful and the online game play is intensive (I mainly stick with the solo missions for now). The game is border line magic as you can watch hours of you life disappear while playing.

Battlefront, The ultimate Star Wars hype machine. A fun first and or third person action game that's perfect for fans... But not much else. Unfortunately forgoing a single player campaign, this game instead focuses on online multiplayer. Some modes work better than most (and by that I mean Walker assault)

Pre-ordered this game a few weeks prior to release. Since it's arrival I've played nearly every day. This game offers multiple beautiful maps, large and small scale battles, the opportunity to operate some of the Star Wars franchise's most iconic vehicles, heroes and villains. What it lacks is a single player campaign or story mode. The non-multiplayer offerings are basically disappointing TDM and survival games vs the computer. The omission of a story mode was disappointing but not a deal breaker for me. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game types "Walker Assault", "Supremacy", and "Blast". The attention to detail in the environment and character graphics is what makes this game worth having if you're a Star Wars fan. If this was just another FPS I'd probably give it a pass but it's Star Wars so here we are. I'd recommend it to a friend, I'll keep playing and hope that the developers listen to the fans and offer more content and customizability soon. Four stars, it could have been great but it's a good enough for me.

Lots of reviews on this game keep saying it's not a deep FPS and that EA could have done more. I think this game is fun and the graphics are amazing. Let me state that I don't play COD but a little bit of BattleField but still not hardcore in to FPS games so maybe that's why I love this game the way I do. I enjoy the straightforwardness of the presentation and game play.

This game looks amazing. Sounds amazing. But that's about it. Honestly, it's the most gorgeous game I've ever seen to date. battlefront 2 was a hard game to follow. people expectations are high now in 2015 this game is uh ok I cant believe I have waited 10 years for this game

not worth $60 but a really fun game, needs story mode and more maps

If you're a die hard Star Wars fan and in need of a game that gives you a feeling of actually being in the movies then this is the game for you. Anyone who is familiar with the Battlefield games will feel right at home because at its heart SW: Battlefront is a Battlefield game with a fresh coat of Star Wars paint. This game is all multiplayer (with the exception of the tutorial missions) so if you want story look elsewhere. For some that's a huge drawback and ultimately why only 4 stars for this review. Whether it's battling on foot, taking control of one of the many vehicles, or playing as one of your favorite Heros/villains SW:Battlefront puts you right on the middle of epic Star Wars battles. The controls are good and the graphics are nice. It does get a bit repetitive and the season pass is ridiculously priced. All in all a good game and a must buy for anyone who loves battlefield style games or Star Wars.

This game is great. A lot of people are unhappy with it because it feels "unfinished" because of a "lack of modes." Sure, there could be more modes and sure, buying an extra season pass for $50 isn't a great (not required) but the gameplay is great, the sound is spectacular, and the graphics are absurdly good. It really feels like you're in Star Wars.

I think the design of the game from a graphics and star wars world/content is excellent, but the game is lacking for those of us not connected to the internet for multiplayer campaign play. Really would have been nice to have longer individual missions or campaigns.

I can honestly say this game is fun to play. Maybe it was too hyped up, and just disappointed a lot of people. Multiplayer is where you will have the most fun. Single player has some stages to offer, but they do get old fast and lead you back to playing multiplayer.

This game is awesome. Game play is smooth and graphics are phenomenal. The only two issues I have is that there should be more weapon choices and the ability to play couch co-op online. I was disappointed that couch co-op while playing online wasn't an option.

This is a great game and I love how they made it look. The graphics are beautiful! Just be wary that if you have a bad internet connection, this game will glitch pretty bad. Reason for 4 stars is the amount of content that comes with the game for the price.

Fun game to play online and it also has some missions which can be played off-line which are challenging. However, I would recommend buying the standard edition of battlefront and not the deluxe edition as the deluxe edition does not add any content to the game.

This game has stunning graphics as a fps with different game styles that allow you to play as your favorite Jedi, Sith, or Bounty Hunter. I've played it for hours on end without ever feeling bored with the game play. And the extra items with the deluxe edition make starting the game much easier than without the items.

I'm not a gamer so if you are you might not agree with me. I like this game, it's fun, challenging and the graphics are awesome. I especially like the online and multiplayer modes.

Played this game the first day I received it and was astonished by the amazing graphics and game play. This game is a MUST have for any Star Wars fan. The online game play is awesome and provides hours of fun. Remember that you need to get the Playstation network pass if you want to play online. Good luck Jedi!

I have knocked about 20 hours into this game, and I believe that it does do a good job of being an entertaining game. There is a lack of diversity and content for a $60 game, but it makes up for it with its superior game play!
