Great graphics, fun combat, bad progression. Not enough weapons and weapon addons to work toward. Because of this, the weapons and mods that are available take far to long to unlock. Star Cards are even worse. Forced carrot on a stick isn’t ideal. I have actually went back to playing CoD WW2 after less than a week. A utter shame as I have an entire room devoted to Star Wars in my home.

The gameplay in and of itself is very fun. Levels are objective based, and change up throughout the stage when the attackers succeed. The base classes are fun, and now you can play has heroes by using "battle" points earned by playing well in each match. The lootbox progression is garbage. The credits you get from a match are pitiful in comparison to the cost of a basic crate, and the contents are not exciting or rewarding. The daily free crate as an example will typically give you 125 credits and 5 crafting points. The cheapest crate costs 2200 credits... You don't feel like you make progress upgrading your classes with this system. Some things, like weapons, are unlocked by getting kills in matches, but it's very one dimensional and not very interesting. All future DLC will be free, which is a big plus for this game. The single player story is underwhelming, but it also feels like they made a much bigger story, and are going to drip feed the content over the life of the game. It will be free, which is good, but the launch content is just OK. It's serviceable, but not going to knock your socks off. If you are a fan of Star Wars, you will find enjoyable elements of the game, and you'll probably be more satisfied as they release more content over the next few months. If you're just a fan of shooters, there are more rewarding games to play out there.

I was so happy that they put a campaign in this game. Complete redemption from battlefront 1. And the multiplayer is a lot of fun with the aerial battles. So worth in my opinion!

I found this to be far superior to the first battlefront, mostly because it has a single player campaign mode. It still contains all the things that made battlefront 1 great too.

Love the game. I owned part one and this is way better. It has a campaign mode which is so cool. Also battles area has changed. More mission based. Love it! May the force.....

Whether you like multiplayer online gaming or campaigning, this beautiful game has it all, plus a dash of the retro Star Wars characters with some of the new. Fantastic!

Greatness and Perfection! This is my favorite game of the year. The campaign was amazing. I want more! Worth every cent. No bad things to say. The adventure is amazing!

The graphics are amazing!! Campaign mode is fun! Online play is great. All games modes are fun to play.

I really enjoyed the single player campaign mode - it helped fit in the larger cinematic universe with the books. I prefer the original local multiplayer. Now there are "missions" for my kids and me, which aren't as fun as the dogfights, survival mode, and walker assault. For the cost, the MTX issues, and regress on local multiplayer, I recommend the original game for multiplayer and this one only for campaign, which should not be $60.

Fun multiplayer game with a flawed progression system. I would recommend picking it up when on sale.

I bought this as a Christmas present, so we've not played it yet. My review will be geared more to the service, price, and availability of the product. That being said ... I pre-ordered the game with no problems. The price was completely comparable and reasonable for the game, and it came with pre-ordering bonuses including rewards. The day of the release, I had no trouble picking up the game at the store, and as always, the customer service went above and beyond to help me keep it "hidden" from my kids who were with me that day. This is the main reason we ALWAYS purchase our games from Best Buy!

I'm a big star wars fan so I'm probably going to buy any star wars game that gets released. That said, this game is just mediocre. Weapon balance is horrible, the class system is boring and progression is unfulfilling. The addition of a single player campaign was the only thing they got right. But even that is repetitious. Only buy it if you are a SW fan.

This was bought as gift for 14 year old grandson who loves Star Wars and especially this game! He spends a lot of time playing it and says it's really Awesome!!!

I'll start with the good. The campaign was really fun I enjoyed it a lot. Haven't played much of the multiplayer but from what I did play I enjoyed. If they got rid of those stupid micro-transactions it would be a higher score and I'm sure I'm being more generous then most. I would say get it just wait for it to be like $30 or something.

My children chose the game based on reviews from others, the graphics, and a lot of action.

The added campaign in great, the graphics are smooth and look incredible. Wish there was more co op, if there was out would have been 5 star rated but overall it is a fun game. In regards to the pay to win gripe, I don't see anything wrong with someone that can and is willing to pay to get extra rewards. To balance it out though they should have made the ground a little easier but the PTW doesn't bother me.

Much better than the first battlefront for PS4. Decent single player and more characters

It's really not a bad game. Better than the first but it steals feels too casual. It looks really nice, and the campaign is fun if short. Gameplay is what you expect but the lootbox issue is pretty bad. Buy it if you are a casual player who just plays to have fun and not worry about all the issues. I still enjoy it in small doses.
