Got this as a gift for my brother got the Xbox version for myself, he quickly wanted us to play my version, so I know he'll enjoy his copy, when he opens up this little gift. Good game play and we are just Star Wars fans. Gave this a 4 because I'm not a fan of the PS4, on Xbox it's a 5 :) good buy, great game

My review is based mostly on the multiplayer mode. Yes, there is a single player campaign, but I didn't find that story to be very intriguing or exciting. The multiplayer progression is too much like a free-to-play game. Spend time getting points, use points for loot boxes, which randomly give you items. Some of those items may give you abilities or upgrades, but sometimes not. You could also use the points to unlock other Star Wars heroes for use in multiplayer. Basically what it comes down to is I don't have enough hours in the day to constantly grind this game just to have decent abilities to compete with others who are sinking the hours into the game. It's not worth it to me, and offering in-game purchase options to jump over that hurdle is definitely not worth it to me either. This ultimately makes the game no fun for me. I traded this in to buy Monster Hunter World instead. :-)

The game is pretty fun, I have had a blast with my kid playing arcade mode and even multiplayer. It a shame what EA tried to do with the game and microtransactions from the beginning. This game could have been a hit. Bought it on sale so happy customer here.

Best game for Star Wars Fans, outstanding graphics, excellent campaign mode made this my favorite SW game

Story mode added to this follow-up to the multiplayer shooter. Star Wars allure makes everything better.

As a almost 50 year old woman, techie and Star Wars fan, I’m enjoying thr challenge. TBH Im playing the easy level but I’m not an exepert gamer. Im entertained and pleasantly challenged.

I found this game on sale so I decided to buy it. Definitely worth the sale price. I enjoy the Star Wars characters and environments. Nice graphics too. Runs similar to any EA shooter games. I very much do not like the micro transactions for this game and that is why I took 1 star away on this review.

Bought this game for my teenage son he loves it. He says it a little more technical than the first 1 but he loves it

I assume it's a great game as I haven't seen my two boys exit their room since Christmas and I can only confirm their survival with the occasional "shoot him!" I hear from their room.

They shot themselves in the foot with the micro transactions built in (similar to Shadow of War - who had to totally revamp that game) and lost a significant base. Overall through it is not a bad game and looks great on PS4. I got it for $7.99 and I have enjoyed it so far (14 Plat trophies to date).

I enjoy the fun of these games in having a Call of Duty-esque experience but getting to play with the characters that I know and love and explore the landscapes from the movies. I don't think they're the best of their genre but they're just fun when I want more of a mindless fun gaming session.

I am stoked to have another Star Wars Battlefront game. However, like most, I am not a fan of the crates that you have to buy. They should get rid of this completely. Somebody with deep pockets shouldn't get a huge advantage over another player that doesn't want to spend a bunch of money after buying the game.

EA's greed with pay-to-win micro transactions backfired with this release. That's a good thing for the consumer. It is a shame that this game doesn't live up to its promise, but now that the price has radically lowered, I think it is worth picking up. The graphics and sounds are all top notch.

If you love Star Wars, this game is a must buy. Great graphics, game play, and sound FX.

My son loves this Star Wars game. He had been waiting for a while to get it. Christmas finally and he was happy.

This is the perfect gift for all the faithful Star Wars fans. It goes along with the newest movie theme and provides great enjoyment for the player. I highly recommend this game.
