This game is purely online outside of the tutorial missions and a novelty split screen mode. I do wish these games were more like a subscription than a finished product, meaning new content and new maps rolled out in the future as part of your purchase. But this is one of those titles destined to be sold as a definitive edition down the line, and the base game without the season pass feels like a gimped version. The game delivers on AAA production and quality but the content is lacking in this initial no DLC version. This is a FUN game and the star is the 40 player battles. The maps do get stale after a while and I wish there was a little more here, but you have to buy the season pass.

I'm not huge on multiplayer modes. I'd rather play by myself. I'm not an avid gamer by any means, but I love to play some games when I get a chance. The modes that the game has are very fun. I mostly play local co-op with my wife. We stick to survival mode, which is fun, but gets boring after playing the same 4 maps over and over. I wish there were more ways to play locally without getting destroyed by people who do nothing but play games online all day every day. I don't know if the expansions will remedy this at all, but that is what keeps it from getting 5 stars. The game is fun and the graphics are very good. You can live out some of your Star Wars battle fantasies.

What more is there to say, this game has been getting a lot of hate but for the wrong reasons. Sure there is a lot of DLC that will come out and they charge for but you are not forced to buy any of that stuff. As the game stands right now it has the best graphics vs any other game out there. Also everything is very well done, from the balance of the blasters and different vehicles to the incredible sound effects, sound in this game is amazing, really immerses you in the Star Wars world, definitely recommend this game, although recommend trying to get it on sale like I did. Gamer Club for the win!

If you have played a Battlefield game in the past, you know not to expect much from the single player campaigns. With Battlefront, they took that a bit forward and actually only included a handful of "missions" to do as Single Player or Co op. Not really worth investing too much time in. The game excels in the online features, with my personal favorite being the Fighter Squadron battles. Graphics are fantastic on the PS4, and the sound effects are true to Star Wars lore. If you love Star Wars, this game will tickle you in all the right places. If you arent, as I am, its still a game worth playing.

The game definitely isn't perfect and the DLC coming out is disappointing as it likely could be in the game in the first place, but it's a fun game. If you are a Star Wars fan, you'll likely greatly enjoy this game. The sound design is some of the best I've heard in a game and the visuals are amazing, regardless if you're playing on console or PC (but especially on PC). You truly get the feeling you're a rebel or stormtrooper in the battle and playing as the heroes is a lot of fun as well. Be warned that this is essentially $60 just for a multiplayer game so don't go in expecting a campaign.

I liked the setup for playstation 4, didn't take long. Setup / download was pretty easy, took a while but once setup no problem. This package comes with Battlefront and about 3 other older star wars games which are decent. The game graphics are awesome, but the there is no story or depth to this game, just jumping into 1st person shooter battles. There are many multi-player battles but, I don't like creating multiple on-line profiles, etc to have two controllers set up. Overall I am happy about this package. Just watch out how long your kid will sit in front of this thing..

Battlefront is a great game for any Star Wars fan. Some may be disappointed with the lack of a single player story mode, but the online multiplayer and missions (which can be done co-op with a friend or by yourself) were more than enough for me to keep me coming back. The game also does an amazing job of looking authentic to the source material with amazing graphics and sound design. Nothing like a full 40 man game of Walker Assault with blaster fire and explosions going off all around you in the Forest of Endor, as you and your teammates push towards your objective.

I have never watched a Star Wars film, I've only ever played battlefront on the older systems. Got this because battlefield shooting is some of the best I've ever played. This does not disappoint in that regard. It plays incredibly well, it is smooth, and it is BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely stunning! But after an hour, I wanted to move onto something else because there wasn't more I wanted to try. Why? Because the game didn't come with much to do. Don't buy it full price. I feel like there's half a game here. So buy it when it's half the price, aka $30 max.

Almost everything about this game is amazing. It has the best graphics on console i've ever seen. The feeling of being in a star wars battle is great on the larger maps. It's a blast to play with friends and the controls are great. The only real concern I have, is the amount of maps. there are a total of 12 and 9 modes. However, certain maps are only for certain modes. So if you enjoy a specific mode or two, there can be as little as 4 maps in rotation. Other than that (and the very slim choice of offline modes) its a solid game.

This is a very fun game, especially if you are a Star Wars fan. The graphics are absolutely exquisite and EA does an excellent job of making you feel like you are transported to a galaxy far, far away. That being said, while the game is fun it lacks the normal amount of content that you'd typically see for a AAA game. You will quickly tire of the multiplayer, and it really is a bummer that there is no campaign. Overall, as a Star Wars fan, I love it. However, I doubt that it will be in my game rotation for very long.

Great looking game but you really need Playstation plus for multi-player as stand alone game is small and not many missions.

Battlefront is an enjoyable game. It can be frustrating though if you are unfamiliar with online shooters. You will die alot. The graphics are very well done and the sound is fantastic. Explosions and gun fire puts you right in the middle of battle. Downside is that it's one of those games where they are gonna throw DLC content that costs almost as much as the game itself when all is said and done, and you need a Playstation Plus subscription to get online to even properly play it.

Just like the title of my review says, if you are looking for a solo experience, this is not it. It's a shooter so obviously most of the fun is spent versus people. Sadly no offscreen co op is available for online at the moment but the modes are fun but really needs more maps. I would score this higher but without a solo mode (story) and the lack of more maps , the only incentive to replay is for aquiring items. The DLC needs to arrive sooner but price on everything should be lower.

Battlefront is a great game for the first few hours. The content is quickly attained, maps are fresh, and there is a variety of game modes. This game around the 20 hour mark turns sour. There just isn't enough here to warrant the 60 dollar price tag. Wait for the game to go on sale, as the sounds and nostalgia of a Star Wars title are worth it for about 40 dollars or so.

Let me be very clear: This is a fun game. However, it is lacking severely lacking in content if you don't opt to get the season pass for the DLC. This is a game that is more or less worth getting while it is on sale AND if you are a fan of Star Wars. The gameplay is superb and it is one of the most beautiful games you can get on PS4/X1. There's just a lack of content (i.e. next to nothing for single player) and is multiplayer dependent/

The graphics are pretty impressive. And for such amazing graphics, there really are no slow downs to the game. There definitely are some interesting points to it, but it is only a pretty decent game. It is fun to play the Hero vs. Group, if you are either Leia, Han or Luke, the person that kills you becomes the next rebel. In other sections, you will come across Darth Vader, The Emperor, Luke, Han, Boba Fett, etc. It isn't a bad game.

The pros: captures the feelings of Star Wars, you feel like you're placed in an incredible battle of sci-fi glory, walker assault and turning point modes are definitely the high points, easy match-making. The cons: This is a game that is light on content and is upsetting that EA wants you to play an additional $50 for the second half of the game.

The multiplayer and survival modes are loads of fun and Dice did a great job crafting an engaging, fast paced shooter with tons of Star Wars charm. The game however lacks any story (similar to Evolve or Titanfall) and the two player "partner" system lacks the functionality found in the 4 man squads from the Battlefield series.
