Customers are saying

Customers recognize the exceptional gameplay and immersive story as major strengths of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, with many praising the enhanced combat and exploration mechanics. However, some players have reported encountering performance challenges, including occasional glitches and frame rate inconsistencies. While many found the side quests and open world engaging, technical issues at launch were a concern for some, though updates have addressed many of these problems. Overall, the game's positive aspects outweigh the negative for many players.

This game is suuuper fun. They improved on the 1st one quite a bit. The world is larger and there’s more to do and see. The storytelling was interesting as well. Loved the soundtrack too.

The game is fun and playable but it's not ready. The HDR doesn't work and the frame rate is choppy. Wait for a good sale. I feel ripped off a little bit after it dropped $10 so fast.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor takes everything that made its predecessor great and amplifies it to new heights, resulting in a game that is bigger and better in almost every aspect. It follows the journey of the beloved crew from the first game, continuing their story in a captivating way that fans will thoroughly enjoy. One of the standout qualities of Jedi Survivor is its commitment to expanding upon the strengths of its predecessor. The gameplay mechanics, lightsaber combat, and exploration have all been enhanced, providing players with a more immersive and satisfying experience. The game successfully delivers on the promise of a larger and more ambitious adventure, providing a wealth of content to delve into. The continuation of the crew’s story is a significant highlight. Players are able to witness the evolution of their favorite characters and experience their personal journeys in a deeply engaging manner. The narrative is well-crafted, capturing the essence of the Star Wars universe and delivering compelling moments that keep players invested throughout. However, it’s important to acknowledge a couple of stumbling points in Jedi Survivor. One area of concern is the game’s performance, which at times falls short of expectations. Technical issues, such as frame rate drops and occasional glitches, can momentarily disrupt the immersive experience. While these issues don’t fundamentally detract from the overall enjoyment, they can be an occasional annoyance. Additionally, the integration of the High Republic era within the main plot feels somewhat forced and hampers the cohesiveness of the narrative. The main quest becomes overshadowed by the pursuit of a McGuffin, diluting the impact of the story and distracting from the core focus. This creative decision may disappoint fans who were hoping for a more tightly woven and compelling narrative. Despite these drawbacks, Star Wars Jedi Survivor remains an impressive and enjoyable game. Its advancements in gameplay, coupled with the continuation of the crew’s story, make it a worthy addition to the Star Wars gaming universe. While performance issues and the somewhat convoluted plot integration are worth considering, they don’t overshadow the overall experience and the joy of diving into a galaxy far, far away.

An Improvement over Jedi Fallen Order

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is to 2023 what Horizon: Zero Dawn was to 2017: a successful, well-received AAA video game overshadowed by a "greatest game of all time" contender. And that's unfortunate because Jedi: Survivor is a darn good video game. For context, I liked but didn't love Jedi: Fallen Order. Its story was as predictable as can be, it was rough around the edges, and it felt too derivative of other action games. Fortunately, Jedi: Survivor irons out a lot of the rough edges. Combat is more satisfying thanks to the new stances and force powers, exploration is more rewarding and less tedious thanks to improved level design, and I found the story more gripping and less predictable than Fallen Order. It's not perfect, though. As much as I appreciate this game's expanded scope, a 2-hour chunk or so of my 27-hour playthrough dragged. Some plot points could have been hit more efficiently, especially because the last five hours or so rock. I also have to knock it for performance. I played on PS5, and the performance mode was unacceptably unstable. Still, the game was good enough that these issues were more minor annoyances than game-ruining ones. If Respawn's next Jedi game is as big of a leap in quality as this was to Jedi: Fallen Order, we could have a GOTY contender on our hands next time.

Love the exploration, progression of your skill advancing, and just having home camp to check in on others. Amazing moments wether its story moment or side quests i feel like im making progress and getting more story on Cal and Jedi’s. Also best droid ever is back, Bd1!!customizing your own lightsaber and unique stances and skills for each blade feels more fun you never get tired of the combat. Strongly recommend picking this one up!

This truly is a fantastic game (so far). Yes, there are performance issues. No crashes, nothing game breaking; it’s all frame rate, resolution, and a small amount screen tearing from what I can tell. If you can’t look past that, wait for a patch. If CAN look past these issues then this game is awesome. The customization. The darker tone. Every gameplay element is built off of making the last game’s gameplay 10x better.

Yet another wonderful addition to the star wars universe. Wonderful cast of characters That are beautifully voiced. engaging story, incredible visuals, challenging but rewarding gameplay, great puzzles and tons of exploration. This and fallen order are some of the best and most genuine star wars content to come out in a long time.

This game is 100 times more than the first game. I was very impressed at the improvement from the first game, from exploration to the main story. You have so many more choices in stances and skills. Finding all the different cosmetics is a lot of fun. You can encounter previous foes from the first game with familiar rewards. There were some crashes and weird minor graphical bugs that in no way spoil the whole game. I crashed at one point and couldn't get back in as it kept crashing, but after a restart on my ps5 it worked. (so quality got a 4/5 stars) some of the funniest parts are staying back a bit before attacking to hear tje dialogue of the NPCs. If you die and return they have a different conversation, which is quite comical at times. So over all the game is Well Worth it. Ps just a warning to Christian parents getting this for their kids. Some of the side characters have been put in to fit a certain agenda Disney is now known for so be aware. There are minor bad words (D's and h words) also dismemberments can be shut off in the options.

Extremely fun & entertaining: Takes the experience of Jedi: Survivor and expands upon the story, mechanics and overall how the game plays. Worth the price & I’m excited for the next installment. My only complaint are the bugs you experience throughout.

Note: I still rate this 5 stars with the hope that Respawn fixes a lot of the technical issues and bugs plaguing this game. Because man oh man, is this thing a great game! They really took the complaints about the shortcomings of Fallen Order and flipped it on its head. You wanted a better map? You got it. Dismemberment? Check. More expansive worlds with less linear pathing? Done and done. I can't wait to see what they do with a third, I just hope they cook that one in the oven a little bit more and iron out the kinks before deploying it to the masses. This development cycle of send it out and fix it later really needs to stop and I hope they've heard the backlash and adjust accordingly. But I do recommend this one to anyone who played the first and is looking for more Jedi fun. Enjoy it guys!

This game is great in terms of story and gameplay. Unfortunately it's boggled down majorly by performance issues - screen tearing, frame rate drop, and glitches that prevent progressing in certain side storylines.

I'll start by just saying that if you were a fan of Fallen Order, you'll enjoy this game; it is more of the same with new ways to dispatch your enemies and expanded customization! The boss fights in this game are top notch and a real step up from most of the fights in the last game. My only complaints are that the game has less varied environments from FO (though I think Koboh is maybe the best world they've created imo) and the game has many bugs. I do think that a lot of fans (myself included) give a bit of pass on the bugs however because this is undoubtedly the best Star Wars game we have received in the last 10 years. If you enjoyed Fallen Order and haven't picked this up yet, I think you owe it to yourself to give it a try. If you're on the fence and haven't played FO, you can pick up this game, but I would suggest you just pick that game up instead and then grab this one if you enjoyed it!
