I've waited a long time for all six movies to be released in one complete box set. I can't wait for them to be released as I'm a huge Star Wars fan. As for people saying you can't get the original non-remastered movies, you can. They were released a few years back the discs have the ORIGINAL theatrical versions and the Remastered version. Another thing that bugs me is fans griping that Anakin's ghost (In Jedi) was replaced by Hayden Christensen well...if I recall correctly he DID play Anakin in Ep II and Ep III. Funny how "fans" forget these facts. Anakin returned back to how he was before he "died" as a Jedi and became a Sith. Quit whining, it's George's movies. Anyways can't wait for September!

I had never seen the Star Wars movies previously. So I am writing this review strictly from the standpoint of someone looking to see what all the hype was about. And so I could go see the new movie with my husband and know more about it. I loved this set for the pure entertainment value. The movies were wonderful, even for a non-sci fi person. Well worth the time of watching all of them!

if you are a fan of star wars this is the set for you. i purchased it to see all of the deleted footage from the six films. some of the footage from revenge of the sith should have been put back into the movie. there are some great clips from return of the jedi as well. vader calling to luke while he is on tattooine. there is also a scene with luke building a new lightsaber. some deleted footage is from the space battle over endor and the land battle on endor when han and rest first breach the bunker. picture and sound quality for all of the films is excellent imho.

This is the greatest movie saga of all time. No other film has insprired more people than Star Wars. For those people who want to see the original release, I recommend you purchase an old film industrial film projector, go to a 3rd world country and find a copy of the original release. Considering you guys are so puritans. There's a reason they updated the films and that is to make them more enjoyable. Anyways. I cant recommend these fim more. Simply put, they are the best ever created and will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Hi!, I was waiting for this blue ray collection form a long time. The quality is so good and all the extras amazing!. I recommend this item for sure! Enjoy!.. and the Force be with you!

I haven't watched the original (episodes 4-6) Star Wars since High School and was never really a huge fan growing up. After re-watching this I have so much more appreciation for them. Unfortunately the blu-rays didn't make episodes 1-3 good, but overall as a whole collection, especially if watched in the right order, the series is pretty great. Whether you are going to rewatch them or watch them for the first time, I would highly recommend watching episode 4 and 5 first, then having a flashback with episodes 1-3, then finishing with episode 6. It really ties everything in together nicely, and keeps from spoiling certain aspects of the films if those things haven't been spoiled for you yet. Otherwise, the picture looks good, sound is pretty good, and the packaging serves its purpose. I haven't watched any of the extra features yet, but I look forward to doing it someday.

Purists may be upset about Lucas altering the theatrical versions, but to me they make no difference. This collection is awesome in every way. The picture quality is fantastic as is the sound quality. The classic Star Wars story is not changed by digital effects and I loved the entire set. There are also some fun easter eggs in the menus including a brief look at Boba Fett from the mythical Star Wars holiday special. Great set at a good price.

watched the complete saga and Mr. Lucas did a fine job throughout the series....the audio (THX) is excellent and the special effects stunning. I had no problem with his editing...many are making a fuss about nothing...as if it changed the story or the enjoyment of the movies...couldn't be farther from the truth. I suggest buying the blu ray discs...instead of the digital downloads...looking forward to episode 7.

Having been(and still am) a Star Wars fan for over 30 years since seeing Episode IV in 1977 I can't wait to see the blu rays. Understandably these are the remasters and not the origanal versions for IV,V,VI and while this is disapointing , why does it matter? Its a movie!!! To be totally honest the way movies are marketed the origanals will most likely come later on Blu Ray like all other studios do because of the damand, Lord of the Rings comes to mind most recently when they released the extended versions a year after they released the origanals because die hard fans wanted the ext versions not the theatrical versions. If this was the only factor why someone would not want to buy the Blu Ray now that is truely sad.

To be getting star wars on blu-ray finally. as far as i'm concerned George lucas knows exactly what he's doing. i can't wait to own this ! one tiny gripe though and this is just based on what i've seen online it's the cover art on the set it seems like the two triquiles might look better on the shelf but i'll judge that when i see it i still can't wait to get it though. and who knows maybe next year i'll get the two other versions as well...

This is by far THEE greatest movie set on earth! There are three extra discs with so much bonus features and behind the scenes of each movie! If you think to call yourself a Star Wars fan and you don't own this, Shame on you! This is the greatest thing since sliced bread! Nuff said.

This Star Wars Complete Saga Blu-Ray Set is definitely the best you can buy on the market right now, if you're hunting for all 6 Star Wars films in one package. One thing that I didn't care for, was the addition of Vader's scream in a key moment of the original movies. I won't spoil it, but ughhhh.... I would recommend this set to any Star Wars fan, though, regardless.

Loved it. However, the CGI characters had more personality than the human actors. But, all-in-all who doesn't like Star Wars....really... My only disappointment was that I was unable to get the "film cell" that I was supposed to get for free. The associate told me there was a flood at the warehouse(??)

I got this for Christmas this year and all I can say is WOW! The picture and sound is incredible. The extras are cool too. There is about 90 minutes of Star Wars parodies on one of the bonus discs. All in All 5 out of 5. May The Force Be With You!

The Force is defiantly with this one. Though I'll never be a fan of Jar Jar Binks, it's fun to re-live the Star Wars experience with true Blue Ray and great sound. I also enjoy the free t-shirt sent by Best Buy. Who doesn't enjoy a good freebie?

Everyone knows Star Wars so there is no point reviewing the actual movies. But the Blue Ray series package, I don't think is worth it. The newest 3 movies Star Wars 1-3 were amazing on blue ray and sound quality was great. However, the digital remaster of the original 3 Star Wars 4-6 was horrible. The picture was very very grainy and pixelated. Probably because they added pixels to make it hi-def. Also the remastered sound seemed as if it were slightly off. The speech and the mouth movements were off and made it hard to watch. These problems had to be the movies, because the first three worked perfect and were amazing, so it definitely is not my player or TV. Watching on Samsung 59" Plasma PN59D6500 and Samsung Blue-Ray Home Theatre System HTD5300ZA.

It's Star Wars in HD. What could be better? If you are DTS enabled and have a good sound system you will greatly enjoy. George Lucas and John Williams will make you happy.

With a THX Certified transfer, DTS-HD Master Audio Soundtrack, and 3 Discs of Bonus features, this is definitely the definitive set for Star Wars fans. Can't wait to see never before released deleted scenes from the orignal trilogy. This set is why I bought a THX Certified Plasma!

Everything about this Star Wars release is awesome. From the cover art to finally having all 6 movies in one package on Blu Ray. Must have for any Star Wars fan
