I feel that the Star Wars Saga in itself, poses no explanation to the common person. It's legacy through the ages is assured through it's stamp on our western society as a whole. The High definition aspect only insures us, that the only thing left is a Virtual anime-tronic of the movie perhaps hitting our theaters in the next 20+ years?:-)A+++

I have a newer Blu-ray player and surprisingly the load time and responsiveness of this disc set is sluggish. It's disappointing probably to many who may have older players as the load times can be painful slow. Once over that performance hurdle watching the films in the new format is definitely a enriched experience in particularly with the sound. The add-ons and deleted scenes are interesting to see but overall there has been little that is noticable in terms of updates of the content. Overall its a good buy and good to have in a compiled collection.

Bought Blue Ray version as a gift for my son and he viewed it on his 64" HD TV. He has loved the film from the start and has purchased every available version. Awesome classic film.

I saw all 6 in the theater, starting in the 1970s... I've owned every movie on VHS (original cut and the updated releases), DVD and now Blu-Ray. The difference between the DVD versions and the Blu-Ray version is as dramatic as the difference between the VHS and DVD versions. If you love Star Wars, you have to own these discs!

I love it! Let alone it is the frist time the Star Wars Sage is collected and it is also the frist time on Blue Ray! The moives look great and the box is realy nice. Great buy!

This is a awesome deal you get all of the star wars movies plus bonus never before seen until now footage in this pack I love star wars and i would buy this item. ITS STAR WARS THE BEST SCI-FI MOVIES OF ALL TIME

1) The films are packaged I ... VI, but were originally released IV...VI, then I...III. The director prefers the I...VI sequence, but several scenes in I...III assume that the viewer has already seen IV...VI, and the viewer loses some enjoyment if this sequence isn't recognized. 2) The conversion to Blu-ray loses some interesting pieces of dialog, such as the sports-announcers' commentary in the pod race - not essential to the plot, but interesting and funny. This commentary is now overlaid with SFX to the extent that it's no longer intelligible - a problem common to many DVD conversions to Blu-ray.

Starwars . . .. Lookin GOOOD The story was never a question, but now..... digitally remastered? C'Mon MAN! Its not even fair. You need this series.

It is a very nice set of the stars wars in blueray version. I love it and I included in my dvd collection. I recomend this set, you should buy it!

Option A - Star Wars Complete Saga containing all 6 episodes is on sale for $89.99 due to go out on 09/16/11....... Option B - Star Wars Prequel Trilogy is priced at $39.99 and Star Wars Trilogy epsiodes IV - VI is also listed for $39.99 as well. Seems it's better to go with Option B and save $10 What Gives???

My husband absolutely loved this for Christmas! I highly encourage those not knowing what to get someone for a gift.... If they love Star Wars, they will love this.

It was wonderful to watch on my HDTV, it was like watching it for the first time all over again!

I hated the prequels so I won't even bother to review them here. However, since the only way to get the amazing bonus content was to buy the complete set, I swallowed my anger at having to own those horrible films, as well as Lucas' inane attempts to "better" the first three films and bought this set. Luckily, I have the originals on video so I can go back and watch the films the way they should have been in this set. I will do my best to avoid commenting on the ridiculous re-working of Star Wars (Greedo shooting first? The stupid CGI pratfall additions at Mos Eisley? Han stepping on Jabba's tail? etc, etc.) and Return of the Jedi (a pathetic song and dance number at Jabba's palace?? Really???) Fortunately, Lucas meddled much, much less with Empire Strikes back so that the film is nearly in its original glory. Oops, I guess I didn't really do my best to avoid commenting :-) The restoration of the first three films is spectacular. The picture quality and sound are incredible and it was like seeing the films again for the first time. You can see every dent, scrape and ripple in C-3PO's metal body, extra detail is all over the Millennium Falcon, Death Star, Dagobah, Hoth and the Cloud City, and all of the action sequences benefit immensely from the royal high-def restoration. The sound is equally impressive and immersive. Lossless and remastered in DTS-HD 5.1, it totally blew me away. If you have a theater surround system set up, it's going to get a great workout when you watch the films. There are a star destroyer's-load ful of extras, too. From deleted scenes to commentary to behind-the-scenes footage of rehearsals and filming. As a complete Star Wars geek, I was in Heaven with all of the bonus content in this collection. If you can stomach the hatchet job Lucas did on the original trilogy and the inclusion of the latter 3 films then you will absolutely love this set.

The Star Wars series is a must see in this new blu ray hi-def format. Surprisingly the picture is much more clear and the sound effects pop better.

I already have the DVD anthology of Star Wars and still love all the episodes since the day I first saw Return of the Jedi. When I heard BD was coming out, I couldn't wait to see deleted scenes. I don't have the BD version on my doorstep, but I know I will not be disappointed.

About an hour into Episode II, the disc freezes a bit and seems to skip. Returned to store for a hassle free exchange. The same problem with the new disc at the exact same spot!!!! Haven't had a chance to view all the other discs but what a disappiontment. Question is do I exchange again or simply ask for a refund???? Anyone else have similar problem?

While there is some editing that isn't true to the original Star Wars, it's still a great six part trilogy for the die-hard Star Wars fans.

This is the way Star Wars was ment to be viewed ! The video is stunning and the audio is perfect! Well worth the price. Great job George.

Star Wars is excellent in Blueray! Special effects are still super with this epic. Great addition to library.

Great extras, movie is just awesome in Blu Ray with just a few new things that were not there before.... Audio and video is insane.
