I love all six films. Yes...ALL SIX!

As i said for the summary, I am a fan of all six films. Yes, that includes the supposedly much hated prequels. I don't mind them because I see them as great films. The original trilogy is great and the prequels are great.
The Empire Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones are my two favorite films within the saga; Empire being my favorite one.
Each blu-ray upgrade is amazing and well done. Note: These films are the remastered editions of Star Wars. So yes, this set includes the now infamous head-jerk Han Solo does when Greedo shoots him..first. The Sarlacc pit has become a sort of plant monster so be ready for disappointments and improvements, fanboys.
This is a great set though. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a solid set; I mainly purchased it because of all the extras that it included. The picture quality is solid. Though I wish the set contained the theatrical releases of the original trilogy, I couldn't say no to the deal of the day price. Like many out there, I can live without the prequels and they are overall a disappointment to me; however I still collected them for continuity's sake. And while the BR transfer can't fix the content of the films, they certainly look *good*. I'm sure there are other editions down the pipe (the distributors and compilers are always out to make more money off the public by repackaging and re-releasing boxed sets) but for now, this set will do.

I must admit that I put off buying this collection for awhile because I was waiting for a high definition release of the original theatrical releases in HD, but this is Star Wars. Although not a fan of much of the changes made to the original trilogy since it's initial release, it feels good to watch these classics again. The prequels are nice to have, but will hardly get repeat viewing from me. The special features are great, but I wish there were more in depth interviews from cast and crew. However, what's present on the 3 bonus discs is pretty awesome and covers a lot of ground for fans. I'm still waiting for a hi def release of the originals, but this is more than enough for now.

Whether you love or hate certain entries in the series, the Star Wars movies are groundbreaking classics and in this set they look and sound better than ever. Add in a ridiculous ammount of special features (both new and some from the original DVDs), and you have what's more or less the best collection you could hope for. There are a few old special features that didn't get included, and theatrical verion purists are sure to be annoyed that those aren't the versions included but, if you don't fall into that camp this is the Star Wars collection to own.

As I searched online for Star Wars The Complete Saga (Blu-Ray), I found Best Buy had a copy on sale at a near by store for $70.00. Different stores online and at the mall had the same disc set for over $100.00. I went to the nearest Best Buy store and bought the Blu-Ray imediately. I love that all six episodes are featured. Episodes IV, V, and VI featured in the Blu-Ray have all the vibrant colors brought back to the light sabers; after the disappointing washed out of color in the DVD set. The special features for episodes I, II, and III are lacking. I will go over the rest of the special features later. Overall, awesome Blu-Ray set.

It's Star Wars, what else do you have to say? While I could do without The Phantom Menace, the second trilogy (Volumes 1-3) are technically beautiful and upscale to 4K TVs very well. The original trilogy got better in terms of picture quality with each new volume but, again, they look very good and upscale well. The new more compact packaging and individual plastic disc holders are a major improvement over the original Saga Collection's bulkier box and cardboard disc slips. Movie and Special Features-wise there are no differences between the two releases but the later one is the set to get.

After dusting off my old DVD copies and realizing the picture quality was terrible on my new 65 inch TV, I immediately went and picked this up. The sound and picture quality of the blu ray release is spectacular, and I am quite happy with my purchase.
It would have been a nice touch if they had also included the original theatrical versions, but I am fine with the release as is. I also found the packaging to be particularly attractive, and it looks great on the shelf with the rest of my blu ray collection.

We definitely recommend upgrading your Star Wars collection to this Blue Ray edition. The picture and sound are far superior to the regular dvds that we had been watching. When the new movie was about to be released we decided to show a marathon of the earlier movies for all the kids to get caught up. The picture on standard dvds was so bad on our high definition TV that we had to stop after a couple of minutes and run to our Best Buy and purchase this edition. The difference was incredible. With all the new Star Wars movies on the way, and If you love Star Wars you'll be glad you did.

I had never watched the Star War movies except for Episode 6, but after I purchased, Star Wars: The Complete Saga [9 Discs / Blu-ray] (Blu-ray Disc). I followed the series in the way that the movie producers released them.and I was hooked. They were well worth getting all of the movies in one package. I was pleased that i spent a couple of days viewing the movies before I went to see Episode #7, The Force Awakens, in the theater. I really appreciate the set as opposed to having to search for separate CD Cases, which i would not have done. This was much more efficient use of my time.

I have to say, I approached this set from an entertainment perspective, only. I know there has been much controversy over some of the things added in over the past years, did Greedo shoot first, etc.
When I bought this set, I didn't buy it with the scholarly background so many of you out there have; I just wanted to relive those classic first three movies from my youth. To that end, this set delivers perfectly.
I wasn't a fan of the last three installments which came so many years later, however time has worn down my hard edges to those three films. If you're looking for a good time, buy this set.

For what you pay, this should have a lot more.
Like all the versions of the films, etc...
When I saw the steelbooks come out for this, I was like forget that, i'm getting the set. I'm not going to pay a ton of money for a pretty cover.
Star Wars has jumped the shark. Meh...
I was happy with the DVD versions, but when I saw how much cleared the BluRay is, I decided to buy this. I just waited a long time until I felt the price was a little lower. I'm sure after next year, it'll go down more, but I wanted to show my girlfriend all the films before we saw episode 7 so I had to get it now.

A nice box set of the original 6 Star Wars films, along with lots of bonus features, in an attractive package as well. While this isn't a "definitive" all inclusive collection of everything pertaining to episodes 1-6, it's probably the closest we'll ever see in one package. It is also probably (hopefully) the last time this long time Star Wars fan will feel the need to buy these movies again, now that I have them on VHS, DVD and now finally Blu-ray.

I had always wanted to get this set of Blu-Ray DVDs for quite a while now. And when I saw that Best Buy was having a sale on Sony Blu-Ray players, I had to see about getting the DVD set. And sure enough, Best Buy had 3 sets left, and I loved the Price Match they have with Amazon. That really helped out a lot. And so I got this DVD set, and I really like the special disc on the out-takes and spoofs as well. If you want to see this in the Blu-Ray version, then this is it. I also have the original versions on DVD as well as the THX versions as well. This is also a collectors' item to have.

Great purchase. Wishing that the original 3 without any enhancements were released. I don't plan on buying any more of the releases until they include the ORIGINAL THEATRIC RELEASES of the episodes 4, 5 and 6, remastered but NOT enhanced with anything other than what I saw in the theater as a child.
recommended if you don't already own a set. Otherwise, you can save your time.

Over the years I have owned many different formats and versions of Star Wars, ranging from the original trilogy on VHS to the prequels on DVD. Finally this collection brings all 6 movies together in the best quality format possible. We have watched all 6 movies from the collection (in preparation for the release of Episode VII) and the quality of the picture and sound is excellent! I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the original trilogy especially. I haven't watched any of the Special Features yet, but hope they will be just as enjoyable.

Well, shame on me for not doing my homework. I purchased this edition thinking it was an updated version of the complete saga previously released in 2011. Imagine my surprise when I compared this edition with the 2011 I already own on Blu-ray! Every detail; the disk's colors, the contents, the content's order etc. are the same. The disks even have the 2011 year printed on them. The additional features, all three disks contain the exact same features in the exact same order!
If you own the 2011 Blu-ray edition of "The Complete Saga", then save your hard-earned money.
There's nothing new here at all other than the package itself.

I'm a StarWars fan so I had to have this BluRay set, the bonus footage is great, all of the behind the scene additions are very cool. The addition of the scenes that were cut from the movies tells more of the story in a way that would have benefited the movies tremendously. To bad they were cut for whatever reason that the director decided. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired. A metal box would have been nice for the price.

I'm a big star wars fan, and these blu rays delivered. Most people think surely these can't be great quality since they're so old, but on blu ray you can't even tell. With my surround sound system and 4k tv, this was far better than watching it in any theater. I have had many friends over and I tell them if they haven't seen the original star wars trilogy in 4k they need to! They never believe me until I turn the movie on, it looks like it was made yesterday! Would give this 10 stars if i could!

Although episodes 1-3 are what they are the quality is amazing on your 1080P TV, however, content on a 4K is unreal. Literally! And here lies the problem. In the "original" trilogy 4,5&6 there has been content added. That content added is CG (computer generated) and is extremely noticeable the higher quality the content is being displayed on. Lasers, explosion, extras, and new scenes look funny side by side with the original footage. I found it a bit distracting. I can't blame the product for the directors bad decisions. But you should be aware if you are a super fan like myself. The extras and commentary are awesome. There is some new commentary I haven't heard before in previous trilogy versions.
