No superlatives in the English language can do justice to the description this production so desperately deserves. From the prequels through the original trilogy George Lucas and his team do a stupendous job of engrossing you in a galaxy that you wish so deeply to be a part of. Now brought to Blu-Ray this production is more than worth the gouge in the old wallet.

One day sale $40, right before Episode 8, seeing as I have the original cut VHS (no special touches) still, needed this for collection as the DVD box set is lost at my house, plus used reward points, no brainer. My case had bits of broken plastic in hit but BluRay's were intact. The upscaling from my player to 4K is actually very good, watching Episode 1 again was not.

I had only seen Star Wars back in the 80's. It was great to see the original movies in Blu Ray. I had a great time watching all the movies straight through on my Thanksgiving break to prepare for the opening of the force awakens. The visuals were great- I found a new love for Yoda & got excited about the costumes. This will be a saga that will be watched again & again! Well worth the price.

I have always enjoyed the Star Wars sagas but now that I can watch them on blue ray, it is fantastic. The pictures are clear and concise and the action is gripping when viewed on a 4K TV. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Star Wars experience all over again like in the movie theatre. A great addition to your movie collection to be watched many times over.

Good quality presentation here and a lot of content for the money. I got the older edition of this with young Anakin on The cover walking into the sunset. I'm not sure if the book inside is the same or not, but the content on the disks is identical. I wish Darth Lucas wasn't so adamant about offering the original theatrical cuts of Episodes 4-6. Docked it 1 star for that reason alone. Also, I wish these "complete saga" things included the made for TV movies Battle For Endor and The Ewok Adventure and maybe even the Star Wars Christmas Spectactular. I guess they figure those were too embarrassingly bad to include them. Lucasfilm seems content with pretending those never existed. Indeed, many fans have never even heard of them. But those of us old enough to remember sure do...

It was great to watch all 6 moves in order from start to finish. The picture quality and sound on all are fantastic. I still prefer the look and the story of episodes 4 to 6 better. All the CGI in the first three episodes begins to look a little "fake" after a while and it is refreshing when you get to "A New Hope" and the sets and the spaceships are all real and not computer generated.

With Star Wars the Force Awakens coming out, I thought that this would be a great way to revisit the films that brought us where we are now. Anyone who's seen the movies or read reviews on them basically knows that this pack comes with three of the greatest movies of all time and three... Eh movies, I don't think they're as bad as others do but they're not good. Either way if you want to catch up on the lore that these movies have created then all six are necessary and this set gives you all of them. The one thing that may be missing for many fans are the theatrical cuts of the first three movies which makes you wander if its only a matter of time until a better - more complete - set releases, until that happens though, this is the definitive way to watch Star Wars.

I am an avid Star Wars fan. After I opened this as a Christmas present I jumped for joy! The boxed set is perfect for fans like myself. The Blue-ray quality is excellent when watched on a large HD television. Thanks for putting this outstanding collection together, perfect for an all-nighter with the Dark Side.

Phenomenal films on 1080p! Own the most epic Trilogy in film history: Episodes 4-6. Also includes the Prequel Trilogy: Episodes 1-3, which definitely does not live up to the Original Trilogy's excitement and great balance of the storytelling, characters, action, and everything else—but still sweet to own and replay. The Bonus Discs and Features are GREAT & Entertaining!!!

Getting to watch all of the original Star Wars series again, even makes the newest one more vivid. We were also reminded why we loved the original six movies, as they've held up to the test of time. There were several scenes we'd forgotten, and as such enjoyed catching up with. The additional discs were fun to watch too, and answered several questions about the process.

Even if you are a bit apprehensive given all of the changes to the original theatrical versions, this is still a great set to have in a collection. I was really hoping for the original theatrical versions to be included but even with that disappointment I truly enjoy having Blu Ray copies of these movies. There are so many extras. It's just awesome to see these films in such great quality.

Not only is is Star Wars, so I mean, come on. This has all the movies and a load of extra bonus material in one place. I wish it had the versions of the original trilogy before the edits but that is why you hang on to your original DVD versions. What you won't get with those is the BD HD which is beautiful. Very glad i now have this in my collection.

I purchase this since the new movie is coming out soon to the movie theater, so I figured I could use a refresher of the series. Amazingly the graphics looked great on blue ray. The only complaint is that I had to play with the volume a lot. I had to raise the volume when characters talked and lower it with the loud sound affects and sound track. Overall a good purchase.

Re-watched most of the first six movies before going to see The Force Awakens. Let's face it, some of the visual effects from the movies made in the 70's needed to be updated to survive the transition to Blu-Ray and our much more sophisticated/jaded SFX-weary eyes. But most of the other changes, including the infamous Han/Greedo shootout and the unnecessary "Noooo!" screams don't improve the films and shouldn't have been made. Wish there was an option to view the films in original format as well as the re-worked versions. Maybe a future release will include this option now that Lucas no longer owns the franchise. Disney, are you listening? I'll re-buy the discs when you release on 4K Blu-Ray if you include the original versions of the films.

No matter what people say about the Prequel Trilogy, these movies are amazing to me because of what George Lucas went through to make them when Hollywood was all big budget studios and also because they are remind me so much of my childhood. Although.... original theatrical releases on Bluray would be nice. Or at least with minimal Special Edition edits.

If you love Star Wars - owning the complete boxed set on blu-ray is the only way to go - especially if you are getting geared up for the December release of Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Although I don't like Lucas's addition of digital enhancements, I'm a big Star Wars fan and appreciate the packaging and convenience (plus 3 special features discs!) of the boxed set.

I own the dvd versions of these movies, but decided to upgrade to the Blu-Ray versions in this gift set. It was well worth it. Even Episodes I - III, which I usually watch out of obligation to the series, was way more engaging than when I have watched it on low def dvd in the past. The Blu-Ray really brought it to life visually and aurally. Well worth the purchase.

I was happy with this purchase, because I got exactly what I expected and wanted. All six of the movies had great picture and sound quality, much better than I remembered them being in the DVD days. It is also nice to have all six of the movies in a single box. I recently have watched them all again, in preparation for the release of the seventh movie! So excited!!! :)

Since Blue Ray wasn't around when the first movies were made, this is the best way to get all movies in B R format and all the bonus material is great to look back at what we Were Like in the mid to late'70's. Also by far, the most cost efficient way to buy all the movies at the same time. A must for all Star Wars fans. Best Buy also had the best PRICE in town.

No long ago I begin collecting the most honorable films, and Star Wars was one that I needed to buy. Now I have it and it's just a great purchase, I have 0 complains and is just an all time favorite. The 6 films will keep you in your seat for hours with the great story line and action scenes. Over all a great saga to kill some time and a great collector piece.
