What can I say -- it's a blu-ray/dvd set of the original three Star Wars' movies. We have a family member who isn't that "up" on Star Wars, and we were ordering tickets to see the newest movie that was just released. These disks played well and looked great. I checked online and saw the same set for a few dollars less, but not significantly enough to make me wait for it to be ordered/shipped online. Overall, a decent price to return to a galaxy far, far away:)

Whether or not you already have the DVD version, this is a must have for your collection. Any improvement to the sound or picture quality of any Star Wars movie is a plus, I only wish they would put the original theatrical version (pre-Special Edition) on Blu-Ray as well. Either way, buying the Bu-Ray sets separate seems to cost less than the 6 episode set. If you don't mind not having all the extra featurettes, get this version!

What can I say about these classic films that hasn't been said already? I remember standing in line with my mom to see these when I was still in single digits...great memories! So when my little cousin (aged 12) expressed an interest in the franchise, I immediately ordered these for her as a Christmas gift. They look amazing on bluray and at the sale price of $29.99 you really can't go wrong. Go out and buy yours today!

My daughter had asked over and over about finding the original movies because she had never seen them - so I got them for her for Christmas. Watching these took me back to when I saw them in the theater when they first came out. We had a lot of fun laughing at what now are considered cheesy graphics and made up names for the little people in the fuzzy suits (EWOKS). It was nice just being able to spend time with her laughing and watching a great series.

The original 3...granted they're Constantly getting edited like every 3 years... But eccentric then they're still much better than those other 3 "movies" the prequels don't exist... When I have friends ask where to start the star wars series I tell them to watch these first, and if they really want to them episodes 2 and 3...but I don't recommend even considering the prequels as part of star wars... Star wars is these 3... .may the Force be with you

My daughter had just been in a Star Wars themed play but neither of my kids had seen the truly original Star Wars. Couldn't beat this box set for value and quality, plus I wasn't paying for the drivel that preceded them (my apologies Mr. Mcgregor n co.) Turned into an expensive trip though, as I walked out with an unexpected brand new Sony TV as well to watch the bloody thing on...looked fantastic though and the kids are hooked. My job as a dad is done!!

If you are a fan of the classic Star Wars series this is a "must own" item for any Star Wars fan. While I agree with the notion that George Lucas shouldn't have made changes to such a classic film, there wasn't anything in it that really bothered me. I can still remember watching these films 20 years ago. The blu ray edition looks great, if you have a friend or family member that enjoys Star Wars this is a great set! (Also, it says 2 discs included but there are 3).

If you're looking for a nice way to get all three films of the original trilogy, this is a good way to do it. These are the 2011 editions of the films, which is the same edition as "The Complete Saga." (Oddly, it is cheaper to buy the two trilogies separately than it is to buy The Complete Saga, which is why I went this route.) Those of you wanting the original cut will not get it here. It also does not have any digital copies.

Let me start off by saying I am not a hardcore Star Wars fan - I collect the movies that are considered the best of all time to keep at my office. We have a humble setup - 55" 240hz LED with a Mirage/Denon/Energy 5.1 setup. LET ME TELL YOU - the picture and sound quality are amazing! Definitely appears to be the original film scanned in at 4K resolution. Highly recommend. I price matched it to Amazon and grabbed it for $40. Money well spent.

I absolutely love the remake they did on this. Especially nice on a blu-ray format. Son has never seen the original trilogy, and we were going to take him to see the new Star Wars a couple of days later, so felt it was perfect to buy it now and make him watch it. If you loved the originals, you shouldn't hesitate to buy it NOW! If you didn't love the originals, may the force be with you. If you haven't seen it: GO WATCH IT NOW!!!

This is the original Star Wars trilogy. It contains 3 blu-ray discs (one for each movie) as well as 3 DVDs. The description only says 2 disc for some reason. I really wanted the DVDs but couldn't find any online. But when I went in to the store I was able to read the case and got exactly what I wanted. When I upgrade to Blu-ray, I'll have these ready to go.

Classic movies however these are the altered versions.

In a Best Buy store not so far, far away.... Great movie trilogy all packaged together with both 3 DVDs and 3 Blue Ray discs finally together. The galaxy has waited for this package deal for a great price for so long. Great action to watch in high definition picture and sound, great drama for the whole family, and great characters that will never fade with time. Oh, and the best villain ever created....most impressive. May the force be with you.

I purchased this DVD set at my local Best Buy after extensive frustration trying to buy them online from Amazon. It was impossible to sort through the various foreign language and "special" edition DVD sets to figure out how to simply get the three movies. There is stills something to be said for local retailers who stock the things you need, when you need them! Good job Best Buy. And the movies were great too!

I am very impressed with the artwork and the cover photo of Darth Vader they presented for a blu-ray box set such as Star Wars. Ever since I had an avid interest in the Star Wars series when I was a kid, I have learned to appreciate the Star Wars movies and how much they are worth since the new Star Wars movie might be released in the theatres in December with the expectations and hype it might get for a movie around that time.

Absolutley love the first three episodes of Star Wars. If I remember right "Episode IV A New Hope" was just called Star Wars when it first came out. It's one of those trilogies you can't watch unless it's shown in its entirety. Everyone should have a copy. Thank you George Lucas and Thank you Best Buy for carrying all the new technology while selling some old memories!

Initially purchased this trilogy for my 7 year old who just began showing interest for Star Wars. We both watched the original 3 movies (which is listed as movies 4-6; I assume this is due to the prequals being called 1-3). I have not seen the originals since they at came out in the movies so it was a real treat! Can't wait to purchase the prequals (movies 1-3)!

Nearly 40 years ago the original motion pictures were released soon creating the cult following that has persisted to this day. This combo, packaged excellently, will find itself at home in any movie collection. Often sited as one of the greatest film trilogies of all time, the movie provides elements found to interest all who watch.

It was nice to get copies of these movies that weren't VHS. Watching them brings back memories of long ago and far away. Every bit as great now as they were when I first saw them, when no one knew who Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leah, or the Empires own, Darth Vader, were and the Star Wars galaxy was just beginning. Sit back, get comfortable, grab a bowl of chips and enjoy!

I PURCHASED the star Wars trilogy DVD and really like it! It contains thed Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and the New Hope. the price was right plus it has a DVD and a blue ray for each movie and it was only 39.99. Best Buy has the best prices anywhere.
