I got the gift card to get Best Buy points. The card needed about 1/2 a day to transfer to another Starbucks card. The card can be entered in a Starbucks card right away after purchase.

Got for a gift. Worked out well. No complaints. No problems redeeming.

My wife recently downloaded the Starbucks app on her phone. She can sync the card, I can use it everyday for breakfast or lunch and she gets points towards her free drinks.
