Fantastic way to experience a Space Adventure!

The young strapping adventurer of 13 is our main pilot in this house! He is also the master at crashing into the ground as it turns out! When your ship is broken, you have to wait OR you can just attach another ship if you have one. You should have one our son insists. Actually, you might want 2 spares!
We recommend this game for any space loving family who like us, love to game. The pace on this game isn't the fastest, there is a bit if dialog to help the story along, but it is all spoken out loud and I think is entertaining. My son though is all about getting to the next challenge! He is a super fan of Zelda for the puzzle aspect and he enjoys figuring things out in this game as well.
He thinks the weapons are the most important things to get for add ons FYI!

This game is a multiplatform title, but I can't imagine anyone who has a Switch not buying it for the Switch. The Switch version includes Starfox content for crying out loud! It's better than Starfox Zero on the Wii U was...by a considerable margin. Ubisoft did Fox better than Nintendo did on it's last outing. The game is a lot of fun, and young ones in particular will love the toys it comes with. Older gamers might find the novelty interesting, but it will more than likely be a shelf decoration afterwards.

I've loved Starfox ever since the original Super Nintendo game. And of course, as a fan I loved the Arwing. When I heard this was coming out, I was intrigued, but at a price of $74.99 it was a little rich for my blood. Then around Christmas my son started making noise that he thought the game looked fun, so when the price dropped we went in 50/50 to get it. We are not disappointed. The game is fun, and even at just short of 8 years old my son picked it up very quick. Plus I love the Arwing model.

After the December patch the content in this game is almost doubled. it really is a complete game now. The starfox content and mission arc makes this game fun. Once you are in space and fighting outlaws you can get a real feel for this being a starfox game. This really is starfox on the Switch. The toys are actually decent. This is worth getting right now at its sale price of under 30 dollars and maybe the buy the dlc digitally.

When I first heard about this game I was moderately interested, but then like most when I heard Star Fox would be in the Switch edition alone I was really interested. I did buy the digital edition as well as this to have more ships digitally but to also have the physical Arwing and Fox McCloud figures. The game is a lot of fun with no shortage of tasks and ability to level up your characters, ships and weapons. The Star Fox objectives are also really fun and nodes at that series.
The game can be played with or without figures so you don't have to worry about taking toys with you on the go. Basically once you scan a character, ship or weapon into the game you will have that item in the game digitally for seven days. If you scan the same item(s) in again after seven days they will be yours digitally forever, which is great. I like playing with the toys as much as my kids do in game, but I have put a lot of time into this game just using the Pro controller over the joy-con with toys option.
Ubisoft has mentioned they would like to add to this game, which as is has a lot of content, but a few more ships, characters and locations or enemy types would be nice. Personally I'm hoping they add a Samus Aran and her ship set down the road.
That said this game does have a lot of repetition but in a lot of different types of activities from attacking enemies, protecting ships, scanning creatures, and other things.

First off, the toys are great. Interchanging then is fun, they look great, and the whole concept of swapping stuff out is flawless. The grip that holds the joy-cons and the ships is not comfortable. Even less comfortable than the one that comes with the Switch. And the game is just muddy looking when you’re on planet, and there is far too much pop-in for a game in this generation that can’t even be played without a download. I will say that flying around in space is fun and feels just like something out of StarFox. It is easily the best part of the game. It’s also only about 15% of the game, and it gets repetitive. When you’re on planet you’re more of a hover craft than a spaceship. And being a hovercraft isn’t really very fun and doesn’t have the great control that you had in space. And on top of all that the missions are pretty boring. And this is from someone who likes games like Far Cry 5 where you were basically doing the same thing over and over in every section of the map. This game is just a mess. It has promise for the future, but this seems like a tech demo. There’s a reason it has dropped in price so much. Just wait, we’ll get a Star Fox on the Switch eventually.

Forget all the other characters and lame toys that comes with this, just load up the game and play as Starfox. Best Starfox game in years. Really great game for a rock bottom price of $8. Unbelievable. The toys-to-game market like Skylanders crashed just as this hit the shelves. Criminally under played game. Like Starfox meets NMS. Good for all ages too! A must buy for any Switch owner who loved the old Starfox games (like me).

It's been quite a blast playing this game especially since the Starfox pack is exclusively on Nintendo Switch. This game has me hooked for so many hours even after I finished the main story and the Starfox bonus story. The gameplay although it does seem a bit repetitive in some areas but nonetheless it's a wonderful game. I love open world/exploration games so this is a must buy for me.

This game is very good. My son likes the gameplay, and the controller is the ship and is customizable. As a parent I don't like this because he looses the smaller pieces and then doesn't have the weapons. We got this for free with purchase of the Nintendo Switch so no complaints. I wouldn't Personally purchase this tho unless my son was really into it.

Starlink Battle for Atlas Starter Pack is a favorite with my 8 year old daughter and 10 year old nephew. It is exactly what is needed to bridge the child gamer from games that are too kiddie and games that are meant for older players. It is great for the tween audience. They love how you can build your own starships and as you add new accessories, they show up right in the game.

I got this in a bundle together with Mario Rabbids for a total of 30 bucks and boy is the whole thing worth it. Let’s say 15 for Mario Rabbids and 15 for this game with Arwing toy model. Totally worth it. I might’ve paid 10 for the Arwing alone, which makes the game's $5 value more than worth it. And it’s pretty fun too. Go get it on sale.

Had starlink for xbox one, needed a kit for the switch and couldn’t pass this up, especially when it was bundled with an awesome game
Like Mario rabbids.
Starlink is a super fun game for any age group, the switch version comes with Fox , who is only with the Nintendo product, even if you don’t have a switch, the $30 for this game just to get the ship, weapons and characters is worth it.

Lots of customizations-tons of weapon combinations, several pilots, & several ships keep the gameplay relatively fresh. You can get an all digital version from the eshop that would be cheaper if you plan on getting all the ships/pilots (since you have to buy additional stuff separately). I loved Starfox as a kid so I opted for a physical Airwing, which is exclusive to the Switch.

The game is good, especially when you purchase the additional content and DLC with Starfox. Beware of purchase the physical game though...if you purchase the deluxe digital edition (I think that's what it's called), you will get all the weapons in the game. But overall, great value.

Got this on a great sale. Love the amiibo system. Snap on a rocket on the ship on the controller and watch it install in the game. Super cool. Great little game. Oh and did I mention Star Fox!!! I just wish the graphics were a little sharper in handheld mode. All in all a great spaceship shooter with a large open world to explore.

First the Toys are awesome looking the sewing is greatly designed and in this switch version you get to play as the Star Fox team. The game itself is a lot of fun traveling planet to planet, scanning creatures and getting into battles. It's quite fun but does get repetitive as the formula is pretty much the same throughout the game.

I knew very little about this game before it came out, and took a gamble on it with the Black Friday price of $35. A real blast to play and explore the different planets in the game, the gameplay is fun and I enjoy it. It’s probably a better deal to buy the digital deluxe edition and unlock all characters weapons etc, but the Star Fox ship (arwing) is pretty cool.

Not gonna lie, with the exception of Amiibo I'm not a big fan of Toys2Life (I appreciate what they are but I've never been a fan of games like the Skylanders).
This changed, surprisingly, with Starlink. The exploration and combat are very fun and reminiscent of No Man's Sky. The story is very generic but enjoyable enough, and the characters themselves are generally likable, even if very trope-y (although Levi can get grating). Plus the Star Fox crew adds a lot of cool-factor and humor to the mix, and there's a lot of retro references peppered into the game when playing as Fox.
The ship switching mechanic is actually more fun than I thought it would be (even if it sometimes gets a bit annoying having to switch weapons in and out vs certain enemies and puzzles). As an aside, you also have the option to play without the toys themselves if you buy the game or ship packs digitally.
The toy ships themselves are incredibly detailed - certain ship engines actually glow blue when plugged in, and the Arwing's blue engines on the wings actually articulate, which is super cool. Plus Ubisoft.com sells stands online to display your ships when not in use.
If you're a fan of sci-fi shooters and Star Fox in particular, this is a great package to buy.

This game is awesome! Although it's available on all three consoles, the Switch version is the best. Why, might you ask??? This is solely due to the availability of the STARFOX only being a switch exclusive. I had to buy 3 copies at the $9.99 value so I can play with my kids. Amazing!!

I got this when it was on super sale. For what I paid this thing is awesome. My son loves just playing with the ship and he loves the game. He is 6 and does pretty well with the game. I can't believe they are selling this so cheap. I might buy a second one and just store it away in case this breaks or pieces get lost.
