Customers are saying

Customers commend the game itself, its price point, and the fun factor, highlighting the enjoyable experience and cool toys. Positive feedback also mentions ease of use, the Star Fox theme, customization options, and the engaging storyline. However, some customers note that the controls could be improved, and the difficulty may be challenging for younger players or those new to the game. A few also mention limitations regarding the number of ships and the sturdiness of the physical figures.

I love the ability to be Star Fox in this game. Missions and story are interesting, and there is a lot of open world exploration if you choose to fall down that rabbit hole.

Ok, i totally bought this for starfox. That said the game is pretty fun. The only real downside is the toy collection aspect. That being said if i had looked online beforehand i would have bought the digital deluxe version which has everything without the toys. As for the game exploration is fun, and combat is a blast. Story is pretty basic but still enjoyable with the exception of 1 or 2 characters who got on my nerves at time but not often enough to take away from anything. In short if you liked old school starfox or no man's sky try it.

Not as good as the N64 starfox version but a great addition. Having the ship on the controller is a bit awkward but eventually get used to it.

For the price of 5.99 can’t beat it. You get the game and the toys it’s not the best space game I played but it really is fun especially at this price!

It’s a great set, there is no doubt but remember, if you want all the options it’s goong to cost you a lot of money to buy all the toys!! You can get the digital version with every gun, every ship, and every pilot for a little bit more then the physical starter kit BUT you won’t have anything that’s tangible. That being said you can play and complete the game just fine without having multiple ships, pilots etc! It’s a lot of fun too!!

This is an assume ad-on for the game. Add or remove the parts to make your starship more personable in battle. Really fun to play with the kids they really enjoy it.

Came with a Star Fox ship and some pilots. It's almost like an honorary Star Fox game in its own right. Definitely recommended for the price point.

    It's Ubisoft, Not Starfox

While I bought this version just for the Arwing--which had one of it's wing broken out of the box--it's blatantly obvious it's Ubisoft using the same rinse repeat format. The game boils down to the same few missions. Go to new area, fight robots to clear an area, upgrade satellite to view more of the planet. Receive mission to scan, deliver, stop enemy threat. Repeat all of the above. It's the same thing over and over. The story is fairly generic as well. Bad guy wants power so he takes it. Off to stop him. Graphically this looks really beautiful despite the switch being light on the hardware specs. Every time I see some of the environments with fog, sunrises, sunsets, I just stare at the light rays going through everything. It's honestly amazing they were able to pull this off. Starfox is awesome. I can't deny that. He's brilliantly weaved into the main story that it feels like it was supposed to be a Starfox game. But since Ubisoft couldn't risk being sued so they threw together their own fighter pilots. Starfox's story only adds an hour or so of additional gameplay but it's very well done. Even though this is the physical edition you can choose to play digitally. Meaning you don't have to use the awkward toy holder and put the toys on the ship to use them. You can select to do all of that digitally. Overall, it's super generic. The majority of the game's sales were from the switch version because of Starfox. If the game did not have Starfox, it would be dead on arrival and forgotten almost instantly. But with Starfox and Nintendo fans wanting a proper Starfox game, this is the closest we'll get.

The game is fantastic. In my opinion the Switch version is the best version. Star Fox was a huge selling point for me. The game is very fun for the first couple of planets but after that it is very repetitive. Same task on every planet. There is a ton of gun and ship combos unfortunately you must buy them all with real money. If you can find it for $20 or less I absolutely recommend it. Also it's worth noting that you DO NOT have to buy and use the toys. It can all be bought digitally for cheaper.

Starlink is great. Bonus points if you love Star Fox like I do. Fox is fully integrated into the game, and I can't imagine playing the game without the Star Fox stuff. He fits right in, and they even got the original voice actors from SF64! The game itself a pretty fun space adventure. It doesn't play like a typical Star Fox, after all, this isn't an actual Star Fox game, but as long as you're aware of that, then you should have a good time. Great for kids, fun for adults too!

Its a good game, the biggest drawback is the ships, characters and weapons have to be bought separately. Other than that is a fun game.

A new game by Ubisoft that is almost like Starfox for the Switch? And it includes Starfox? Man, sign me u...uhhh... while this came out at a high price tag there in the beginning, heavily got discounted during the holidays ranging from $8 to $5. Deal was so good, I grabbed multiple for friends I shared the deal with who could deny it was a great deal as well. Make sure if you grab this, look out for low price deals of single dollars! Great game overall that's almost like Starfox!

This is a fantastic game that is a ton of fun. The switch version is the version to get due to the extra content that comes with the game. It's an open world game with multiple planets that the player has freedom to explore. The game can be a little grind-y at times, but overall it is still fun, both space and ground combat. Although the toys are not necessary to play, the digital version comes with more ships to boot, the toys are well-made models that look cool on a shelf.
