Everthing about starlink is super easy i own two now the third generation and the mini i first bought the 3rd generation for like $300 had it shipped to fire camp in Idaho zipped tied it to the top of my type 3 fire engine plugged it into a power inverter paid $150 for the service took me about 1hr and we had internet and cell service total game changer for wildland firefighting whe i got home i baught the mini and use it just gor traveling now and turn my service on and off with ease on the app

I bought a Starlink terminal back in November hoping for high-speed satellite internet in Jamaica. The hardware is sleek, the dish is easy to set up, and the tech behind it is impressive. When it works elsewhere, it’s fantastic. …but here’s the problem: no plans have been available in Jamaica since I bought it. Even with recent satellite launches, the system remains inaccessible, and nearby islands have open slots while Jamaica is still locked. After months of waiting, it feels like having a shiny gadget that does nothing. Customer support can’t override network capacity, and the waitlist offers no clear timeline. For now, the dish just sits there, unused, waiting for Starlink to free up space. ✅ Pros: • Sleek hardware, easy setup • Cutting-edge satellite technology ❌ Cons: • Still unusable in Jamaica after months • No ETA for new activations • Extremely limited availability Bottom line: Starlink is an amazing concept and works where available, but in Jamaica, it’s currently more of a promise than a service. If you buy now, be prepared to wait indefinitely.

Light weight and easy to set up with the app. Set up took about 15 minutes. After that just plug in and orient. Great download speeds.

very easy setup. Not sure about the speed for streaming yet as it stops and refreshes while watching streaming. Plan to move and check more for obstructions. hopefully that takes care of it as not real happy about it right now.

Used it for a month while driving from NC to Alaska every time we set it up it worked the only thing negative is there is a bit of a setup time for it to find satellites if you aren't leaving it setup. Then we paused the subscription when we got home, great to have internet when you are on the road and travelling!

I purchased this Starlink specifically for camping and I have used it twice — both times I have had excellent internet connection and speed, and was able to run multiple devices without issue. I even streamed a playoff game in HD. This is so awesome!

Haven't experienced the super-fast speeds others speak of; however, it's been consistently faster than my home internet's 35 mbps. The Mini kit price $599 is a little more tolerable when finding StarLink charges an additional $100 for a "congestion fee" to the Gen 3 purchase price activation for our area. I like the $50 monthly price (and $1/gb over 50gb). Added quick-connect mounts/cable to both my house and travel trailer, making it convenient to use both at home and camping. Connection slow-downs experienced during peak hours is my reason for the 4-star rating. (Occurs with our neighbors' Gen 3 systems as well).
