Where I live my only option for High Speed internet was Starlink. I am pleased with the speeds and reliability of Starlink. Average Download is 375-400 and upload is averaging around 23-30 with a ping around 22ms.

I love the idea of this technology. But I couldn't use it. My sky is almost clear, but ting bits of foliage around the edges constantly interfered. The monthly is quite high. The hardware was $350 when I bought it. Which really isn't bad, because a good modem/router would be similarly priced. If I was rural or off grid, with no other ISP around, it does work well.

I had my doubts on how well this would work. Decided to try it. Couldn't beat the discount best buy gave for memorial day and so far this starlink is working pretty good. I'm a truck driver so i use the roaming plan. Its pricey but works really well.

I LIVE IN JAMAICA AND HAVE USED THE STARLINK STANDARD KIT AND HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY SATISFIED. HOWEVER, SINCE THE PASSING OF HURRICANE MELISSA, I NOW NEEDED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER KIT AS SYARLINK IS THE ONLY SYSTEM THAT IS EFFECTIVELY WORKING ON THE ISLAND. ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 I GIVE IT A 10

Exceptional Speed and Low Latency: Starlink's speeds are a significant improvement over DSL or traditional satellite internet. Download speeds often reach 150 Mbps and above, with latency similar to cable internet (20-40 ms). This eliminates buffering while streaming, allows smooth video conferencing, and makes online gaming possible for rural users.
Reliable Connectivity: Unlike older satellite systems, Starlink's network of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and phased array antenna minimize the impact of weather conditions like wind, clouds, and light rain. The connection maintains over 99% uptime, even during harsh conditions, although heavy storms can cause brief interruptions.
