    Question

Can you use a wifi extender on a wifi6 router, yes make sure they are in the same generation these days, but you are alway better off connecting copper, or Fiber, since you are wasting have the RF bandwith to communcate from router to extender and then extender to computer, fhis can also add latency as the signals need to be processed by the extendet and then repeated, for UDP this is ok but for TCP this can slow you down as it uses ramp up based on timing and packet loss and confirmation, you also have a bit latency between the terminal and the satellites and then the sats to the Ground earth station, albeit leo far better then geo since you are going 30000 km addtional up and down if it were streight above you in zenith, someone going with a significant elevation angle would have to figure in a bit of additional distance based on the vector. So my take would be you are better to use a cable, then powerline or ubiquiti bridge, then maybe a wireless repeater as long as the wireless has seveeral bands then you can dedicate this to a connection. There is also the question of why do you need this instead of going direct computer to router, is it a large distance or are you just dropping connection, have you done a site survey looking at your neighbors if you are then you can offset the channel frequency to see if you achieve a better result, also make sure you are using 5.8 ghz and 6ghz. As there is more bandwidth and the carriers are larger so there is more throughput if able to achive the target MODCOD sceme. Guid luck

Service works amazing. Easy to set up! Shipping was delayed a day not terrible but also when you need Internet a day is an eternity… probably could blame FedEx or UPS whoever delivered on that part. Highly satisfied thinking about buying another for another location!

    Starlink Gen3

The Gen 3 Starlink is definitely a step up from the Gen 2 in terms of speed and function, less moving parts and connectivity. Positives - easy set up and alignment. While this unit suggests a 25 degree angle and positioned to the north it will still function well flat and at any direction. I found the speed sometimes was better without alignment. The connections using standard CAT6 make it so much easier to expand the cable length and create connection ports through walls. Negatives - nothing really - I was apprehensive about the manual alignment but to be honest it is so easy you don't need the motorized unit. The panel is a little larger than the Gen 2 but manageable. Great product if you need good internet service that is consistently available. Bestbuy order online and pickup was seamless.

Easy to set up. Lighting fast internet, and stormy skies don’t seem to bother reception. If you can’t get fiber optic internet this is the way to go. Unbox it, plug it in, activate it and you’re done.

I live in a rural area with limited internet choices. I had Frontier and never knew when it was going offline or for how many days. My Starlink is reliable, doesn't go offline, has terrific speeds and is perfect for my needs.

StarLink Is The Way To Go

We were forced to get StarLink because the fires in New Mexico destroyed the fiber optic cables of the wireless company we have used for years and they wouldn’t be up and running for months. How the restaurant I own ran before getting StarLink was a history of outages and issues. StarLink is awesome! So easy to setup and the speed is incredible . I only wish I had done it sooner. Plus, Elon returned $200. because we are in a disaster area even though we bought it from Best Buy, so win win.

    The Glover Starlink Purchase.

Bought this Starlink for my husband when we camp and have no Wi-Fi or cellphone service. Hands down I am pleased with the purchase. We have not experienced any buffering or service interruptions and were able to connect 3 TV's and our family and friends who camped with us hooked up their cellphones about 10 of them and Starlink did not glitch or buffer it is amazing.

In the land of slow (50mb) AT&T internet (c’mon now, it’s 2024 and I have teens) Elon Musk and his space based internet has saved my sanity. Average speed of around 200mb, little to no downtime. Extremely easy to set up. Literally unbox it, point at sky, turn on. The app will tell you if you need to turn the unit to face the right direction.
