Customers consistently note the Standard Actuated Kit AC Dual Band Wi-Fi System's ease of use and quick setup as significant advantages. Positive feedback also highlights strong performance, particularly for streaming and gaming, along with excellent signal strength. However, some customers find the price to be high. While occasional downtime is reported, it appears to be infrequent for most users.

Love Starlink!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm in a rural area of Yamhill County and internet service out here is not great. I decided to give Starlink a try and wow, am I glad I did! Much faster internet speeds and my latency (ping) numbers dropped from 700 milliseconds to 30 milliseconds! We have a lot of trees around our house so decided to mount the antenna on top of one of them (see picture). Very pleased with this purchase and Best Buy did a great job with delivery on time.

Problem Solver/Game changer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, the setup was simple... we were able to mount this to the roof(screwed through asphalt shingles, sheathing and into rafters with poly roof sealant applied during installation and after) and then route the cable down through an existing roof hip vent, then directly down through the attic to a shelf sitting above the washer and dryer in the laundry. Setup and satellite linking was very straightforward. Sitting in the middle of a large roof helps with keeping any sight obstructions away. This unit now provides fast internet and Wi-Fi calling to a site on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan that was more likely to pick up a cell tower in Wisconsin than one on the Michigan side where it sits, and required a land-line for reliable phone service. Signal is good both inside and outside the house to a distance of about 100-150 feet.

Amazing Service and Internet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Starlink kit online and picked up the same day at Best buy. The installation was very easy and straightforward. I just had to find a clear spot for the dish, plug it in, and connect it to the router. I paid for the internet service online with my phone and the dish began working right away. The speed and reliability have been amazing so far. I have not experienced any outages or interruptions, even during bad weather. The internet service is unlimited, which is great for streaming and gaming. Starlink is a game-changer for rural areas like mine, where other broadband options are not available or very slow. I highly recommend Starlink to anyone who needs fast and reliable internet in remote locations.

Starlink is Legit!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Friends ordered directly from Starlink and waited weeks for delivery. I purchased from Best Buy with no wait time. In fairness, our friends had an easier installation/setup experience because their Starlink account was set up before they received the equipment, but my setup took less than an hour from the time I opened the box. You’ll want to make sure your phone’s operating system is updated before you start the process. I watched a couple of short installation videos online before I purchased the equipment, and that allowed me to begin the project with a high degree of confidence. It’s a great concept. Starlink made the technology work impressively well, and the app is user friendly. Best Buy made the purchase a breeze. Couldn’t be happier!

Works as Advertised
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product. I wouldn't recommend the product to replace a solid, terrestrial service like Spectrum due to the monthly cost. However, if you're willing to pay extra money to replace slow internet (mine is 25 Mbs) then this is great hardware and service. Setup was easy and just point it at the northern sky and you're in business. I get downloads ranging from 50 Mbs to close to 200 Mbs. If you're in a heavily wooded or obstructed location, then service won't be good unless you can get the unit above your obstructions. The accessories do get a bit pricey, but it's better than suffering with poor internet. Especially if you work from home like I do.

Starlink > AT&T
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Thanks to starlink, I now feel like I am in the 21st century. AT&T’s best internet in my area was a blistering 5mbps. Within about 20 minutes of setup, i was getting 150-250 mbps speeds with lower pings. I currently average around 210mbps down and 25mbps up and ping between 25 and 50. Starlink was very easy to set up and came with everything you need to get going. I would highly recommend starlink to anyone with no or poor performing internet. The service itself is more expensive than average cable or fiber based options but well worth it especially when it is the only option over 5-10 mbps. The connection is stable enough to play any game on my PC or consoles and can support multipe devices streaming and not miss a beat.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is amazing and fairly easy set up. Best Buy experience was great. Talked with an employee and he recommended since I live 40 minutes from the nearest Best Buy, he could ship it to my house in 2 days. Saved me time and gas. Highly recommend the Best Buy experience.

Starlink Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered Starlink on June 09, 2023 and received it June 13, 2023, so the shipping time didn't take too long. I believe the wait time from Starlink may be a bit longer. It took us about a week to be able to put up the dish, due to the size of the ladder that was needed to acquire to put it on the the roof. You have to install the dish yourself or hire someone to do it. The dish DOES NOT come with a mounting kit and DOES NOT have any Ethernet ports, you have to purchase both accessories separately. There are several different mounting kits you can buy, depending on your needs and an ethernet adapter so you can connect it to a mesh Wi-Fi network, switch, etc. You can order those items from Starlink once you have your account in place, but you can't create an account until you start your service, go figure. The best place to buy these items beforehand is from Amazon, but it will cost you two to three times the amount. If you're not in a hurry, just order it from Starlink because it's cheaper. Once the dish was up and running, the speeds OBSERVED speeds were comparably low to what would be seen on a gigablast service. However, the performance overall is pretty good. We had a gigablast service prior to switching to Starlink. Although the numbers can be deceiving, had I not been present for the installation, I would have not known there was any switch in my service. I have had starlink for about 7 days now and I can only attest to one evening where I had problems uploading certain streaming services on my living room TV, which is run using Wi-Fi. I would highly recommend bypassing the Starlink router and using a newer mesh Wi-Fi network to attain higher speeds of Wi-Fi throughout the home. If you are not a tech savvy person, I would definitely recommend hiring somebody to install the dish and set up your Wi-Fi network if bypassing the Starlink router. So far I am happy with the performance of the Starlink service.

STARLINK - Standard Kit/Easy set up
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The STARLINK kit is very easy to set up. Once you have set it up, downloaded the app and establish an account it can be used immediately. So for this satellite system has had no down time and I highly recommend it over any of the internet services I have used in the past. You're not under a contract, it's just a simple month to month payment where you can cut the service off at any time or take it with you to another location. I have liked it so well that I went out and bought another kit for a different location out of town. This purchase has been well worth it.

Best WiFi off grid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our family of four is super thrilled with Starlinks WiFi. We’ve lived off grid for seven years and tried other internet services but nothing compares. Definitely worth the upfront cost. We now FaceTime, browse the internet, stream movies, play online games, watch sports events without interruptions. Best part is when we move we can simply set up our Starlink device at our new location and continue to have the same great service. As a mom, dad, teenager and baby… we all recommend Starlink.

I live in a very rural mountain area, it works seamlessly with multiple people streaming. I get reception all over my house and in a good part of my yard....Walking into Best Buy and out with internet was priceless Hint: if you don't have cell reception make sure you download and set up your account with the vin numbers from the box before setting up at your house
