I have never believed in investing in a great chair for the home office. But working from home continues and it was time for an upgrade. I don't really know 'chair' brands like I do most tech, but my neighbor told me Steelcase make incredible chairs and this would last me for many many years. This Steelcase chair comes semi flat, with the chair, the gas-support pillar, and the wheel supports in the box. Assembly was easy, no tools required. Took about 10min but the instructions are not very clear. The chair is well built but everything is VERY heavy. So I built this by sitting the chair upside down on my bed but even then, you notice the weight of this thing. Comfort wise, the Steelcase is a great chair. Height adjust, lumbar support, etc. but the bit I love the most is the armrests which is the last thing I expected to care about. The armrests are flat, wide, and have a height adjustment so that I can get them level to my desk. This means on my small home office desk, I can basically use the armrests to rest my lower arm while typing. The wheels roll smoothly, but I am using a plastic protector mat on a wooden floor so my experience may be better than yours. One thing I would note about the Steelcase is while the back is comfortable, it's not high enough to support your neck/head. The BestBuy photo doesn't make it very clear, but I am taking off 1 star because it would be great if the back was higher so you were fully supported from the head/neck down. But outside of that, really do think the Steelcase is a great, comfortable chair and worth the investment.

The Steelcase Gesture Shell Back Office Chair was a total gamechanger for my home office experience. Previously I was using a standard old high back office chair that I have been using for way too long. The Steelcase is so much more than I would have ever expected! The seat is extremely comfortable even for the long work days I have and that are then followed up with some PC Gaming. I have never had a chair that is so adjustable, there is no way you could sit in this chair and not adjust it perfectly to your body type and preferences. The arms move in multiple directions, and the seat even slides in and out so you get the perfect angle against your back on the backrest! I have never used a chair this comfortable and customizable before, and I just love it! Also when the chair came there was no complicated assembly required which is great! It came in 3 pieces that just snap together! It took be about 5 minutes to totally unbox this chair, get it installed, and moved into my office to start enjoying it. If you are in the market for a top of the line office chair this is definitely a solid choice!

Very sturdy and comfortable. I weigh 350+ lbs and not only does the chair feel sturdy enough to support me, the seat and more importantly arm rests fit. Often arm rests are too narrow and dig into my hips. I've been very happy with everything about this chair

I bought direct from Steelcase, but wanted to leave a review here. The Gesture is a great chair! It has tons of options in the arm rest, which allows you to find that perfect position. Cusions are the perfect firmness and really comfortable. The back rest is flexible, so as you stretch back it moves with you. Really good chair
