the hydraulic/gas piston gave out within 1 week of buying it. I think i got a returned item. Forgot where i had bought this so i finally am reviewing this.

Yes, I expected Steelcase to be the best. Even though it was a decent chair, it was way to small for an office.
Very disappointed!!!!

Having previously owned a steelcase chair from the 90s that lasted well over 20 years I knew I had to get this brand. Excellent chair that stays comfortable for extended periods of time and has served me well for these past 2 years for my stay at home job. Even as a heavy guy I thought I might have to upgrade and get the bigger option but this one works just fine.
Only have 2 critiques about the chair
1) I wish the chair had custom or set limits you can lean it back instead of it just going all the way.
2) The adjustable back slider has come loose from 1 side
3) Is not so much a critique but make sure to get the correct wheels depending on your floor. I ordered my chair through an outlets store and had an option to order wheels for carpet or tile

Great chair for the price. Comfortable even after hours of sitting. Super quick and easy to assemble. Rollers are quiet and work great on LVP flooring.
