These are pretty great if you dont want to spend the money on the arctis 7 or other versions, works pretty much with anything, I'm using them for pc and ps4. Battery life is more than 20 hours as well I got close to 24 hours on a single charge and I have the volume up pretty loud too, audio in general is fantastic they use the same drivers as the arctis 7. I did swap the earpads with some from wicked cushions nothing wrong with the ones they come with though!

First off, I want to say that I really enjoy this headset for the price I gave for it. The headset is fairly comfortable and the drivers do not hit my ears like the older arctis 7 did. I did get the leatherette arctis pro ear cups instead of the fabrics and those help with noise leak/noise isolation, so I enjoy them much more. The build quality is good, although it is all plastic except for the metal hinge that adjusts the headband. I have bigger ears and these still cover my ears, so I'm good with that.
Next, is the real reason I bought this, and that is the ability to use with everything I own. I can use this with my S10 wirelessly via USB c, my Xbox one x via 3.5, my ps4 wirelessly, my Nintendo switch wirelessly docked or handheld, and my pc's wirelessly. This is a super versatile headset worth the money. It was 80 when I got it.
Finally, the sound is thing that most people want to know about. These sound good once they are tweaked a little. I went with immersion via the arctis app and saved that to my headset so it seems to work on my wireless none-pc devices, although the sound on one x has windows surround anyway, so that works on any headset. The sound is pretty even with a lot of balance, the bass is decent and the mids are clear. Once I tweaked it a little the bass is better but can make some things muddy if you aren't careful. The Soundstage is balanced mostly, so if your a bass head these may not be for you. The volume levels reach an uncomfortable level so no worries there and the battery life, and microphone are good. Microphone is clear in my testing and battery life reached 19 hours so it was on par with what was advertised. This is a very good headset if you can get it on sale.

Before I talk about what I like about this headset, I want to talk about why I am taking one star off my rating. The first headset I purchased, the microphone didn't work at all right out of the box. I initially set everything up on my Switch and started playing Overwatch (the reason I bought this headset). Audio came through just fine, but I couldn't talk to anyone on my team. I tried Fortnite since it supports voice chat natively as well, nothing there either. I also hooked the headset up on my PC, and downloaded the SteelSeries Engine 3 software. It allows you to customize the EQ settings on the headset, test the microphone, and check for firmware updates (there weren't any). I still got no sound to come through the microphone. FYI, if you are going to use this headset on your PC, you have to make sure you plug the wireless transmitter in using the provided USB-A to USB-C adapter cable. I also read an Amazon review that someone else had the same thing happen with their headset, microphone was DOA. I took the headset back to the store, they let me exchange it for another one. This time, everything worked as it should. So far, I am really enjoying this headset. It isn't heavy, but feels sturdy. I usually only wear the headset for two hours or less, and it is very comfortable. The sound quality is pretty good for games and the microphone works well. I like the button controls on the ear cup as well. Volume and mic mute are easy to control. Setting up the headset is very easy. I play my Switch docked at all times, so all I had to do is plug the wireless transmitter into the provided USB-A to USB-C adapter cable, plug the other end of the adapter cable in to one of the three USB slots, turn on my Switch, plug in the microphone on the headset, then turn on the headset. What's nice is you don't have to pair the headset to the transmitter since it runs on 2.4GHz wireless. You might experience interference depending on what all you have running around where you play, but mine works fine. You can connect this headset even if you play your Switch in handheld mode and it works with PC and PS4. It is a very versatile headset. As long as you don't get one with a bad microphone, it makes for a pretty good headset.

Full speced headset for gaming and mobile

There's a lot of specs on this headset that make it one if the best headsets and even more than just for gaming.
The cans/cups are snug enough too stay in my ears but also wide enough to avoid any rubbing on the outside edges of my ears so extended sessions using them are easy in my ears.
The software for the headphones is easy to use and has great customization and haven't had any complaints from my fellow gamers when I'm playing multiplayer games.
The added benefit of this headphones is that they can be used on multiple platforms (PC, Switch and I believe Xbox/PS4) for gaming and even mobile as I can use these on my Android phone and tablet also.
The wireless dongle uses a USB A cable for PC (unless you have a direct USB C connection.)
The charge on the headphones is decent. The only complaints I have and they are minimal is the headset microphone is a little short I'd like it to be longer to reach in front of my face more and I wish there was a way way too more besides raining for the bottom on the side.
For the money this headset does it all though.

Purchased these to use between my tablet, laptop, phone and gaming PC. It's easily swappable between all devices with the USB-C transmitter. While at work, I use the microphone to talk with clients throughout the day and haven't had any complaints on sound quality. The mute switch on the ear cup is a nice addition for my use as well. The limited amount of time using these on my tablet and phone for video and audio, these sound amazing. I mostly use these for gaming on my PC. These are absolutely perfect for the single player games I play. They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The battery lasts for quite awhile (can't say exactly). I play on average 5-6 hours a week and charge them every 2-3 weeks.
The steelseries software is the only drawback I can think of for these. I cannot hear a difference between the EQ settings and cannot tell if its actually doing anything. I honestly uninstalled the software and nothing feels any different.

I have the zelda astro 10 and this and I have to say I lean a but more with the steelseries as this gives you the option to go wireless thanks to a usbc dongle that connects on the charging port of the switch. And if you want to go wireless while on doc mode you get a USB A to USB-C so it can easily connect to the dock. The sound and mic quality is above average and I am able to play with them on for quite awhile! Are they my overall favorite headset? No but definitely the best to use on a Nintendo switch. Last thing I wear glasses when I game, and i can that with or without them on, they do not disturb me at all.

Pretty good and universal headphones. Nice design allows them to be worn publicly and not looking like a total gamer.
Sound quality? Nice bass, mid and high frequencies are.. fine for a gaming headset, anyway if you are an audiophile, you'd get smth for your preamp, not some wireless gaming set.
Very comfortable fit. Hold nicely on the head and not really tight.
Mic quality is OK. Not the best, but people will hear you roar.
Also work if I plug the wireless adapter to my phone (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra).
I'd recommend there over Corsair or Razor for similar price.
Cons? No rgb, but hey who needs that crap anyway.

I find this headset to be an awesome purchase and huge value. The weight is just enough to feel it without feeling too hefty even after hours of wear. The ear cups are comfortable, though I wish they weren't cloth, since this makes them much harder to clean and if you move a lot when you wear your headsets the cloth shifting near your ears could be disruptive to some users.
The sound quality hits just right, though it's not for the audiophile who normally swears by industry leaders that send out frequencies most dogs never hear. If you want "good" sound and not "Am I there right now? Why can't I smell the gunpowder?" sound, these are perfect. This isn't to say they sound bad, but know yourself and your standards; these aren't meant to pick up the most subtle timbres of a Louis Armstrong trumpet solo, but they will sound crisp and clear and offer enough hefty bass to satisfy.
The retractible mic works great and relieves me of the annoyance fixed position mics sometimes offer.
The option to go wired or wireless is great and I don't find any audio quality loss between the two.
My main if only true gripe is that these don't come with a solution for making your Switch wireless audio. I'm sure there are adapters, but for $100 a small Bluetooth dongle isn't hard to include (considering a lot of Bluetooth chips can cost as little as $2-3 on their own to consumers). A little disappointed that when connecting with Bluetooth to other devices such as my phone or laptop, there's no function to pair to multiple devices and switch between them with the touch of a button, but that's a luxury I can manage without.
A worthy pair of cans for new gamers and budget players alike. For the "elite" I recommend you invest in something higher up the line (not that you actually need it).

If you have a Nintendo switch, this is pretty much the only officially supported option but they are fantastic. Comfortable and I appreciate they didn't choose the ski head band for adjustment and went with the traditional adjustment. Extremely flexible and no way that I see to break these.
They also work with the STeelSeries Software for adjustments but they are USB Type c connection. Just plug into the USB Type C connection on your tablet, android phone, windows PC etc and it just works and sounds great.
The ONLY COMPLIANT I have is WHY SteelSeries did you make these charge on MICRO USB and not on USB TYPE C? The Switch is USB type C, the dongle is USB type C?
Please do an updated version that makes sense
Besides that these are great options and for $100 with the sound and build quality you cant beat them.
Go get one you will be happy you did

I thought i was buying this product to use with my game consoles but it's primary use case became using it for work calls due to the pandemic. In the use case for work, it's great. No one has ever complained about my mic quality during calls. I'll list some pros/cons:
Pros: excellent range, balanced audio quality, detachable boom mic
Cons: leatherette on head band deteriorates(expected); gets hot after maybe 1 hr of use; battery life could be better
Overall i'm pleased with this product. One comment on the audio quality; i get there's an app for pc that you can use to update and also manual eq but i thought the sound could use more bass for music. Even though i wouldn't deter others from buying it i personally will likely buy a different pair when it's time to retire this one.

Bought these for my daughter to play on her Nintendo Switch. She ABSOLUTELY loves them. Crisp clear sound. Mute button. Battery that last for days. Comfortable for hours of play. Adjustable boom mic. Charge time is minimal. She's been using them for 3 months now and every day she's amazed at the sound quality.

Pretty nice, I use it for ps5 and PC. I bought because some sites recommended it for having great usage of the ps5 3D audio but it's not that much of an "immersive 3D surround sound cinema feeling sensation spine chiller nipple raiser" thing they described it as. It is still surprisingly solid sound overall and does use 3d audio well, just not as crazy as I thought it'd be. Still no sucker tho. Mic quality is good and battery life lasts a decent 9-12 hours. Headband is uncomfortable so I wrapped a sock around it making it look stupid but it helped immensely. Overall it's a great headset for the price just has some few issues

I play my switch in dock mode most of the time. So I use this wireless headset while I play Fortnite. They work just fine. When I play I ask people how I sound? Some people say just fine, some people say I have a robotic sound, and some people say I’m loud. It all just depends. I can play about 16 hours before I have to recharge them. They will beep letting you know they are getting low. Also they have mic monitoring. So you can hear yourself, if your mic is close enough to your mouth. They are comfortable. They don’t hurt my head or ear. They are on the bigger side cause they slide off my head sometimes. But other then that. I like them a lot.
