Great sound but mic and software are bad

Coming from a Corsair Void Pro I can say that sound quality of this headset is a night and day difference. My games sound a lot more immersive and my movies also. The headset is also very comfortable with an adjustable strap. Wearing these for a long periods of time is not an issue for me. The battery time is also really good with my headset lasting roughly 10 hours before it beeps at me to let me know it’s battery is low. I like the ability to raise and lower my coms and game volume directly on the headset. This is very helpful feature when the game is too loud and you want to be able to hear your friends or if you are trying to watch YouTube and you want to lower the voice chat.
Where I feel like this headset lacks is in the microphone and software dept. I know you don’t buy a headset for it’s microphone but hear me out. The side tone in the headset is pretty much non existent which makes it very hard to control how loud I’m talking. I game primarily at night and this causes a huge issue. I find myself yelling into the mic, while having a normal conversation, causing my significant other to come into the room to let me know I’m being too loud. This was not an issue with the previous Void Pros as there side tone feedback was spot on, loud, and no latency. Another issue that I have is the software that Steel Series uses is very “laggy”. Making adjustments to the headphone settings usually takes about 5-6 seconds for it to realize you’ve made an adjustment. This makes tweaking things just the way you like it can be very challenging.
In the end this a great headset for the price. I recommend paring this with a dedicated mic that has a good side tone and you will have a great setup.

These are great for gaming. The bluetooth signal is very strong, and the audio reproduction is excellent. They have very clear, crisp, accurate sound. What they do not have is a lot of bass.
Chst quality on them is excellent and the battery life is extremely long. They say 24 hours ... I've never run them past 12, but even that is great. The ski goggle style headband is really nice. They rest comfortably and do not feel like a vise clamped on my head.

I purchased these after looking at a variety of different headsets. I wanted good sound, mic quality, wireless capability, and comfort and received all 4 with these. I have a bigger head and the size and fit are great with no discomfort. They are adjustable and can go a bit bigger or smaller too so everyone should be covered. The mic quality is acceptable for my gaming needs, but you get what you pay for obviously. If you are really into streaming and want that crystal clear sound you are not going to get it, but you come in loud and clear to your friends while enjoying a game session. The wireless works well and as long as you aren't trying to use them on the other side of the house, you should be fine. Maybe don't go out for a run or something thinking they will work still connected to your computer. As far as the sound goes, I like the adjustments you can make to them, including boosting the bass a little. It makes music and movies sound a little better, and for the price, I think it is very good. Playing fps games, you get all the benefits you are looking for with surround sound to pick up when someone is far away or right behind you. Overall, I'd happy with my purchase.

Small excerpt before I review these, I did not use the stock earpads, I used Brainwavz hybrids. Everything we have heard is true about these, I stayed away for awhile from purchasing these, as I use wired headsets with dac/amps, but the comfort is the best for me once I changed the earpads. These fit my head and mileage will vary, but if they do and you change the earpads, these are the best. The sound has to be tweaked as music sounds horrid and game sound needs tweaked, but that's why engine 3 is there. If your a person who does not want to tweak, stay away because out of box, these sound bad. After 2 days, I have perfect eq settings and I love them. Battery life is spot on as I used them for a total of 20 hours and battery is still going. Mic is solid, a bit nasally, but a little above average, the silver lining is versatility. I can use these as wireless or run them through my dac/amp wired and have the comfort and the sound of the arctis 5 with wireless. I only used these in pc, but they are superb, but you may want to switch the pads.

The best part of this headset for me is the mic. People at work remarked how much better this sounded over my profession work headset. I also like that you can hear yourself in the headset when you are speaking.
Comfort for me is about 9 out of 10...the strap helps relieve the discomfort I experience with my cheapie foam-based headset. I have yet to find a headset that truly is comfortable beyond about 2-3 hours, and this is the best so far.
The sound quality is good, too. My expectations for a headset were having a great mic and at least decent sound. While no where near the quality of my Sony 1000X M3s, it still delivers the 3D sound I was looking for when gaming.
I use this on my PS5, and I chose this model because all the scalpers have snatched up the Arctis 7Ps, and charge 2 to 3x the retail price. I spoke with SteelSeries, and the 7s are pretty much the equivalent of the 7P, with a USB connector instead of the USB-C...big whoop...it's only used for charging anyways. (take that scalpers!!).
Lastly, the battery life does not disappoint. Had this for about a 3 weeks now and have only charged it twice. Use it for both work and gaming.

I really like this headset, the sound and fit is very good! The ear cups sit very well on my head and I like the feel of them. I play with it almost only on PS4 so there where the views come from.
The wirelessness is very good since it allows me to move around the apartment with ease
The mic was a not as I expected since it is rated so good but its sadly not as good as they say. Take some sensitivity increase for people to hear me so it's quite.
The audio is very precise tho and can hear everything in my CoD BO€ Blackout games.
The button on the new 2019 is great, no complaints that but have never tried the old version.
I, however, get slightly annoyed that the head can easily fall off if you look down or so since the clamping is just below where it keeps it on for those movements.
Another is the software you can use on the PC doesn't really save the setting for it when you wish for them to transfer the Ps4, this I very hard to check for the EQ but the blinking light setting doesn't Save so but the software for pc usage I quite nice and fun to play with (includes the DTX 2,0 Surround there).
Overall still a very good headset, I would definitely buy again but I really wish the chat mixer worked for PS4, I think I will be super happy with them if I start gaming on PC.
Almost perfect with a super stylish simple look that makes them very nice, would recommend and buy again. Hoping for some PS4 compatible software updates. Thanks Steel Series and Best Buy

I've had this headset for over 2 years now, which is why I have now bought my younger brother one so he can stop being envious. I can say that it is without a doubt the #1 recommendation I give people when they search for a headset. being wire-free is an amazing boon to those that tend to multitask around their room (or even around the house!). The on-headset controls are great, a mute button and volume control - not to mention the volume mixer. The other main reason I recommend this so highly is the comfort. The way it sits on your head allows for marathon sessions of gaming with little to no discomfort. My primary concern when buying these was that the battery would burn out. This has not been the case for me. I have never picked up this headset and had it be dead, even if I forget to plug it in several days in a row. The only negative thing I have to say about this headset is that the construction of the earcup connectors could be better. Just be gentle with it, and you shouldn't have any issues!

Ok I give it 5 stars and I'm honestly loving it but there's a few things to keep in mind.
1 the 1rst pair i received was faulty and wouldn't pair to the device. 2 you can connect with the audio jack adapter that comes included but without the computer software their pretty awful.
That said Best Buy did a great job replacing the first pair I received and after downloading the software from the website it sounds awesome. It's not plug and go but it's still very simple to get working. Batter life lasts longer then I need them too. And they are very lightweight. I can wear them for hours easily. I was sceptical about the velcro tension band but actually I love it. Very comfortable and I can adjust it enough I can make it comfortably fit a kids head as well.
Now this might sound like a 4 star review or lower but it's not exactly top of the line and it's actually better then what I expect i would recommend these to a friend and I'd feel comfortable buying these again.

I love these headphones and wish that I'd found them sooner.
PROS:
-Insanely comfortable!! You can game for hours on end and not have hot spots or discomfort
-Amazing battery life! I forget to charge my headset a lot and it's rare that it actually gets to the point where I need to.
-Simple set up, it's literally plug and play
-Sound quality is great! You can hear twigs crack and foot steps without a single issue
-A+ build quality. I usually have my headsets break down within the year
CONS:
-The range is decent but not as good as others
-Takes a long time to charge
I've have 2 pairs of Astro A20s, Astro A50, Logitech's G43 and G935, Turtle Beach's Stealth 500 and 600 and a few others. I'll never look back. These are hands down my favorite and with a price point that you simply can't beat.

These headsets having lasted me so long that it’s well worth the price and quality. It might not be what you get from a $300 headset but for the price that I bought it for, it has served me very well from 2020-2024. Normal wear and tear is expected after so many years.

Pc: great, out of the box it works nicely enough. But once you get the steelseries engine software it jumps to peak performance. Surround sound is definitely good but not overbearing like the void rgb pro. Its above the A50 in terms of value for price.
Comfort wise: its good. The headband helps and with glasses theres no problems. So no clampmarks behind the ears!
Sound quality: great. The software allowed me to enjoy some creativity in making profiles as well which was strange and new to me at first but was easy enough.
Looks: able to bring around without turning too many heads. No rgb on the outer (who needs it?) Which helps battery life.
Ps4. Swapped the dongle over and it was good to go after checking settings in ps4 menus to ensure volume was maxed. This was far easier than having to update firmware for the kingston hyperx cloud 2 to get to a similar point.
Wireless: i was suprised that obstructions didnt nuke my signal going from room to room. Great range and quality. No drops.
Battery: strong, very pleased i cant just outright drain the battery quick.
Worth it if looking for a strong wireless headset with great value.

Really like the minimalistic design and they go well with any setup. The ski-band adjustment is nice and feels different in a good way compared to most other gaming headsets.
Sound is decent, low in bass but if you're using these for just gaming then you aren't worried about bass. Wish they were able to go a little louder. Nice that you can adjust EQ settings in the app. Mic sound is clear when asking friends in the discord and game chat (COD Warzone).
WHY THEY AREN'T PERFECT:
- if you have big ears/ears that poke out a little then you're probably going to feel the drivers, which obviously is not the best feeling. Though the stock ear cushions are one of the best I've ever tried I could not handle it after an hour so I had to buy third party ear cushions that are thicker. The SteelSeries website also has other options for cushion fabrics, but I didn't go with them since I assumed all of their cushions were same in size.
- A little steep in price. If they were $100-120 it would definitely feel more worth, but I might feel this way because I spent $180 after tax and ear cushions.

I came from the HyperX Stinger to this, and this is my first wireless gaming headset (just to give context). I use it mostly while gaming on my PS4 Pro.
I absolutely love this headset. It is extremely comfortable, the depth of sound is spot on, and the battery power seems to last at LEAST 24 hours total. Easy setup, too.
The sounds feel tangible: footsteps, combat, etc. I am really impressed with it. Highly recommended.
ONLY CRITIQUE:
I do not know if this is an actual issue with the headset, but I have noticed that if I leave the headset receiver plugged into the PS4 (which I usually leave in SLEEP MODE), that I will occasionally wake up to find that the PS4 has shut off and acts almost like it had a power outage with all of the "did not shut down properly" warnings. Not a huge deal, I just make sure not to leave it plugged in when I am not playing, but it is worth noting.

This headset works directly out of the box. The battery life is solid (only have to charge after many hours of use). I like the mic cutoff control switch on the headset for those times when you don't want to hang with those random toxic people you may have been paired with in a multiplayer game. Retractable, flexible mic is a nice feature that essentially makes the mic arm indestuctible. The headset is surprisingly comfortable, witht the elastic band providing a fit that is snug enough to keep it from sliding around, but allows for an overall less-tight fit all the way around. Perhaps this allows the tension to be reuduced at the point of contact at the earcups. Speaking of which, the earcups are large enough to go around the ear and not cause pain due to pressure on the ears over extended periods. Breathable fabric on the ear cups as well, so no sweaty ears. And best of all, the sound quality is buttery at the low to mid frequencies but still has snappier highs. Definitely worth the $$ if you have cash to spare, and is by no means the most expensive headset out there.

I cannot state enough how much I love these headphones. I've had them for almost two years now and they are still going strong. They are extremely comfortable, even after long gaming sessions. The audio sounds fantastic. And the battery life is impressive. I usually get 10+ hours on a single charge, and it only takes a few hours to fully charge again. The wireless range is also mind blowing! I can be on the other side of the house grabbing a drink or snack and I can still hear the audio and chat with friends. The updated version have USB-C charging so I'd recommend getting those, but these are still a great buy!

I was hesitant to buy this because of some bad reviews but I have been quite happy so far.
Pros:
- Sound quality is top notch. You can discern even the tiniest sounds with these.Very good for gamer.
- Comfortable. Most headsets squeeze my head after a few hours but these I wore all day without any problems. I really like the adjustable strap they have.
- Decent Range. I would say you could get about 40-50 ft. before the signal drops.
Cons:
The Microphone. Mic makes you sound odd, which is very hard to explain. The volume dials on the headset can be a bit tricky. They're very easy to move often accidentally change volume while adjusting the headset.
