They are really easy to set up out of the box, the sound quality is pretty good, and the ability to connect to your phone is pretty solid. I do have a router near the gaming center so I have had some connection issues where the sound cuts in and out. If I could rate it 3.5 stars that's probably more accurate for my set up. If they didnt have connection issues its a solid 4* product.

Great headset, sound quality is amazing. Battery life is very long for a wireless headset, i can go 3+ days of 8+ hours of useage before a charge is needed. the earmuffs are comfortable and all around it is a good headset

This headset has great comfort and sound, though once you adjust the headsets audio eq in steelseries engine, it doesn’t save for too long, and will reset after just a few days. Great headset, but this definitely gets annoying, as the base eq it resets to doesn’t sound the best, and will constantly need fixing.

Comfortable headset, sounds good. Mic is a bit too sensitive, don’t really like the whole volume control via dial because it’s too easy to bump on accident, and having to hold the power button for several seconds to turn it off and on seems unnecessary. Noise cancellation would also be nice. Been having an issue with it not staying connected to my XB1, but I think that might be my Xbox being a really old, really beat up Day One Edition. If it still won’t connect to my Series X when it gets here, my review will definitely change.

Very comfortable ear cups and head band . Only problem is that it continuously drops connection when you walk over 15ft away. Sometimes it would drop connection randomly when i sit in front of the tv while watching something . They do sound great and have a surround sound feel. Maybe it has to have a software update and to update it you need a computer , while theres other headphones that can be updated through an app

Comfortable ski goggle style headband, longevity, sound, you wont be disappointed. Ive had mine going on 2 years and any real gamer knows headsets and controllers last a good 6 months unless you buy elites.

This headset has great audio and build quality. They seem durable and I haven't had any build quality issues yet as some people have. I will say there's some audio pops and quirks occasionally. It usually only lasts a short time and by the time you notice it's working fine. I kind of expect these to be perfect given how expensive these are. They're not perfect but very, very good. I love the fact that they connect wireless without a dongle or USB adapter. Battery life is good.

I decided to pick up a set of these after my Turtle Beach 800s broke for the 3rd time. I was torn between these and Lucid Sounds. The features of the Steel Series sold me after standing in the store for an hour. So far I'd say the X9s met minimal expectations. The sound is good but not great. They arent close to the Turtle Beach 800s but its decent. The battery life is outstanding, I play a couple hours a day and only charge it once a week. The only issues I'm having is having to turn it off and on again if it didnt actually connect. I'm a big fan of the metal construction too.

Awesome headset! The sound is great, dual bandwidths for connecting to the Xbox and a phone at the same time is a great feature if you like to have music playing while you play. The headset is very very comfortable also. The only drawback is the range is not great. If you walk more than 15 foot from the Xbox it starts to cut out and if you stay away at that distance it will disconnect sooner rather than later.

A great pair of gaming headphones. Charge times or good and usally keeps a great connection. The only thing is sometimes they cut in and out witch kinda sucks if you are trying to hear for foot steps. But I just turn them off and on then they work, so no biggie. And one more thing, if you are in a party chat its kinda hard to find a good balanced between the game vs your party. Wish this had a separate volume adjustment for voice.

I previously owned the Turtle Beach 600 until they broke — they were okay for the money and had some connection issues here and there. These headphones can be a connection nightmare...one second you’re fine and the next it just shuts right off. I have found that if I have my cell phone or computer open and near the headphones that I have the most interference. If you can put up with that, then you won’t be disappointed with the sound.

Pros - If you like loud, crisp and clear surround sound these headphones are for you. From the moment you hold these headphones in your hands you know you made a good choice. The fit is snug and comfortable. You can play for hours without your ears sweating. Pin point true surround sound blew my mind. Cons - Has some issues disconnecting randomly from Xbox Series X but I read they are working on this.

By far the most comfortable headset on the market. The sound quality is lacking in the bass side which I rather enjoy my sound to be a bit more bass heavy. But still, a good headset. Retractable mic is nice, and the built in Bluetooth is a cool feature. You can be connected to both your Xbox and phone at the same time, to answer calls or listen to music on the go. All headsets should be built with the same attention to detail! Go buy this now!

The fit is suitable for long game sessions and the sound is fantastic. Love the wireless aspect due to hyperactive grandchildren. While playing they jump around which destroys both wired headset and controller port. This is a great headset. My 5th one.

Been using this model ARCTIS 9X for over 2 years. Excellent piece of audio equipment, great for multiple purposes. Great sound quality on the lows and highs. Good spatial sound , can locate footsteps in games such as MW2 and Halo Infinite. I love this headset because it doesn’t use passive noise cancelling the way most headsets do. When wearing, one can easily hear their voice like your ears aren’t plugged. Bluetooth May connect to your phone and game, which I find great EXCEPT when getting a phone call while in game it will shut off your in game audio and connect to phone call. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR PC IF YOU USE DISCORD. I’ve always had an issue getting audio to function on discord (and while in game of course) with these headphones, and eventually discovered that you must use a lesser quality setting in order to connect to PC AND Discord. Basically, these headphones weren’t engineered for PC flawlessly. BUT I mainly use for XBOX anyways and it’s not a big deal for me. 5 stars

The arctis 9x is a good headset for the value. I've had no problems or disconnection issues, when it comes to either using the Bluetooth or WiFi direct connect with the Xbox. Only issue with the Xbox Series X is that when you turn off your console it restarts to an uncontrollable state. But just waiting on a patch from MS or SteelSeries. I would still recommend this headset to others who are interested. Battery life is correctly as advertised depending on volume level. The microphone for the 9x is quite crystal clear from the feedback I've received from other player's. The Mic can also retracted and extended for when you choose to decide if you need to use the mic. If you press the mute button on the headset itself. There is a red LED light indicator on the microphone main unit that indicates that you're currently muted. The sound isolation is excellent for the microphone, you don't get any hints of background noise unless it's above certain high volume level of sound/noises Etc. I understand that the grand total price point may seem much, but I highly recommend the Arctic 9x.

I like how comfortable it is and clear the audio is… when the audio works. I returned these because of the horrible connection issues. The connection will cut off completely mid-game and has to be restarted to get the audio back. I would try again if Steel series fixes this issue on a future model.

Great when they work. Randomly disconnects from Series X mid-game. Sometimes completely shuts off, but doesn't at the same time. Meaning, turn on, everything goes well. Suddenly shuts off - no sound no light on mic. To get it back on, you have to hold power button until the start up noise sounds. Then you have to do that once more. really odd and should not happen to a premium headset. Other than that, most comfortable gaming headset for my head.
