This will be lengthy as I will go over everything. I am reviewing this after I had bought the Turtle Beach stealth 700. I returned that headset for this one instead even if I had to pay more. The stealth 700 is nothing compared to this headset. The 700 is almost like just wearing beats headphones just everything is amplified and doesn’t have good sound quality. But when I picked these bad mamajamas ooofff they are by far the best sound the best Highs and lows. It was perfectly tuned it was even more comfortable than the stealth 700. The Arctic 9x is night and day in every single aspect. Def would recommend and buy again.

The sound is good enough but there are a few things that need improvement. There is no voice feedback through the headset so when I talk my number own voice is just like wearing ear muffs... Even my 2015 turtle Beach elite 800X had this (trust me it makes a difference!). The volume knobs should be separated as in the left one should control voice volume and the right one should control gameplay volume, instead the right one controls overall volume in the left one controls the mix between the two which is less than ideal. The sound feedback for low battery or even turning on and off is anemic at best, spoken word feedback should have been used here.. Finally if I'm using the headset and the battery is dying and I plug it in while still using it it will disconnect from the Xbox and I'll have to power cycle it to reconnect in order to keep it actively charging while being used.

Great headphones when first out of the box pair very easily with the xbox series x. Had a small problem at first however... I when I turned it off after a quick game session it seemed to upair from my xbox series x and also cause my xbox controller to unpair as well. I couldn't pair both the headphones and controller to my xbox series x unless I did a hard reset. Did a bit of research and you are supposed to download an app on your computer then update the firmware first after the update headphones work perfectly!! Great sound and great fit!

Best gaming headset I’ve bought. These are personally the first wireless headset I’ve bought fir my Xbox. Despite the price they are in fact worth every penny. You can use them as normal Bluetooth headphones too. Connecting them to the Xbox is the same process as linking a controller, very fast and you can choose which controller to pair the headset to also. Battery life is OD, only charged them twice and I’ve played too many hours of Ark Survival since I bought them. Don’t play yourself with some cheap headsets. Been a Xbox boy since the OG was released, needless to say I’ve gone through too many cheap headsets through the years. 9/10 the only thing I don’t like is the adjustable strap on the top, but it really doesn’t affect any of the functionality.

    Dolby Atmos is Beautiful

Whether it be for gaming or watching TV or movies, these are great! Five stars all the way! Content with Dolby Atmos audio sounds fantastic. However, the Bluetooth signal seems susceptible to interference from other signals. It causes rapid on-again-off-again gaps in the audio. The jittery sound occurred so frequently that I began to regret my purchase. But since I moved to a new apartment (presumably away from other Bluetooth signals) the audio is near perfect! I get an occasional quick drop here and there, but they are far and few between. They are also comfortable, even after a few hours of wear. I just wish, during voice chat while gaming, it pumped your voice into your own ears. Instead, my voice is muffled and it’s hard to regulate my volume if I cannot hear myself properly. For that, it does lose a star. But other than that, I love this headset!

Sounds great but does lack some base. The A50’s are better in that department. A little heavy but very comfortable. Mic sounds great and stows away in the headset. Does not get as loud as other headsets but I never turn them all the way up anyways. Connects to your phone at the same time which is nice.

Receiving a pair from two years ago, the issue been the headset doing endless connection noise. This would be a random problem. When they did finally release a update to fix this issue, nothing seem to be fixed. The potential is there with the feature of Bluetooth and sound quality being legit.

Fantastic wireless headset, got a few sections to break this review down Comfortability: 4/5 As comfortable as the headband style on the headset is, it can fall if you lean forward or back too far. The ear pieces I can barely feel there, and are good for hours of gaming. Sound: 5/5 Great sound, I can easily adjust Game-Voice ratio on the earpiece, and when I crank it up, I can hear footsteps and gunfire from the other side of the map, even the suppressed weapons. The mic monitoring on this is sadly very low. However a quick Google search and some programming allowed me to bump the mic monitoring levels up, so I know whether Im too loud or background noise is getting through the mic. When playing music, the bass is good, and notes are clear as crystal. Have not yet used it for phone calls as other customers have done. Connectivity: 3/5 This is where the issues begin. When I turn on my Xbox using my controller and then turn my headset on, it connects, but then it will disconnect shortly after sometimes. So I then have to turn the headset on then back on. It will stay connected throughout my 3 bedroom house and through all those walls so thats good. Bluetooth connection is stable and same range as console connection. Design: 5/5 The headset looks good, and the earpieces rotate so I can lay it flat while charging. All the buttons are easy to access, dont have to push super hard and are easy to distinguish by feel when I need a quick adjustment while gaming. The mic moves in and out of the headset with ease, and lights red so you know when youre muted. The adjustable handband doesnt adjust too much, but it fits my head fine, but it may not fit those with a smaller or larger than average head. Price: 4/5 Good price point for a fantastic headset, but there are cheaper headsets out there. At the time I bought it, it was however ranked the #1 headset for Xbox or #2 on some sites with the Astro A50 Gen4s just beating them. The Astros however are another $100 more so Id say these are more worth it. Overall: 4.5/5 You will not be disappointed unless you end up with a bad headset from factory. They sound amazing, they are comfortable for long periods of time, and the battery life is good “up to 20hours” though I havent reached that time limit.

Great headset for the Xbox or any Bluetooth device. Great battery life as well. Very comfortable. The only down side that I see is if you wear the headset for long sessions your ears don't stay cool like some other headsets that have the cooling material on the ear cups.

The headset works great. Games sound great. Movies sound great too. Has great voice dampening for outside noises. I can’t hear the door bell ring. You can control the volume of the game as well as the volume of people your chatting with while playing. The Bluetooth also allows you to answer phone calls while playing. If your talking on the phone the game chat will shut off until you finished your phone conversation. Battery life is great. I play long hours and I only charge every 4th or 5th day. I definitely think the headset is worth every penny.

I've owned Astro A40s and 50s, Sennheisers, Turtle Beaches and more. These Steelseries might be the best wireless I've had. Great comfort and sound. Good space for a closed back - doesn't sound like everything is right on you. Not so great value. For $300 we can't even get a case or simple stand or charging base (like the Astros)? Would recommend for FPS games. Directional cues are accurate, and the EQ app lets you adjust between peak mids for hearing enemies and more bass and highs for movies or music. Mic is top notch. It retracts into the headset too - the best mic design I've seen. Red light on tip of mic lets you see when mute is on. Again, great ease of use idea.

Sound quality is on point, but when I try to listen to music while playing a game on XBOX ONE it randomly cuts out. The only solution that I have found is to power cycle the headset. Annoying as hell especially when you are in the middle of a game.
