Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the excellent sound quality, comfort, and long battery life of the SteelSeries Arctis 9X Wireless Gaming Headset. Many also appreciate the convenient Bluetooth functionality. However, some users experienced connection issues and others felt the price was high. A few customers also noted that the bass could be improved and the range was not optimal for all users.

Ive had 3 of these now. and havent had agood experience with any of them. The first pair had connection issues and would disconnect often. So i replaced them right away cause i thought maybe it was that hardware. The second pair was good for about 6 - 9 months with little issues but i mostly used them wirh my phone. After that amount of time the plastic started cracking by the volume wheels and the rotator link just fell apart. I rarely dropped them and when i did it was on carpet. At that point it hadnt dropped it for a while before noticing the damage. once that damage was there it started having a problem with audio tearing and connection issues. Starting to notice a pattern here?? well i thought it would be different with my 3rd and final purchase of this brand. I bout these a month ago and havent used them more than 5 times for maybe an hour at a time. They will not stay connected to my xbox at all. The audio will cut off after 5 second then go completely silent. then reconnect after maybe 5 minutes just to do the same thing again and again, all while being on the whole time. This is a terrible buy and a waste of excitement. I loved the idea that the features had to offer, but the execution has left me frustrated and wanting to smash the headset with a hammer! Thanks for coming to my ted talk

Save yourself and DONT buy this headset. It is the most comfortable headset I’ve ever owned. However, it has connection problems every time I try to use it. Sometimes, it freezes up and nothing works until it eventually drains its battery. Also, you can’t charge it while using it. This headset isn’t functional.

Clean crisp sound. Mic is clean. Easy to connect to xbox series x. Only issue i have is that it has a micro usb port instead of usb-c.

use with my xbox one x. perfect for gaming online/offline. it’s also a great addition to movies and shows that are compatible with dolby audio. had to buy the dolby access through xbox for 14.99 and seems worth it. love these things and keeps people in near proximity less annoyed. highly recommend

    Purchasing was a Mistake

I rarely write product reviews but I feel I need to share my thoughts on this product. As many gamers, I wanted to go from a wired headset to a wireless headset. Safe to say, purchasing this headset was a mistake. After having it for a few months, here is what has happened. The connection consistently cuts in and out. Some cases it totally drops and you won't be able to hear anything for a few seconds. While playing Xbox, my friends consistently say the mic quality is garbage and they can't hear me. And if you have a MacBook, you won't be able to use the SteelSeries software to update your headset or modify any of the settings. Long story short, do not purchase this wireless headset. Turtle Beach is far superior in every way. I'm going back to the wired headset from them!

Heard they were a solid and supposed to be a number 1 headset in quality and sound etc. I tried them out and instantly for the money I did not like the sounds. Had way to much base and sounded like a movie in my ears. Definitely not my choice for a fps game. Needless to say I returned them.

They are comfortable! they are good for gaming and talk on the phone with them when you don’t want the action to stop. but now there are some downsides to these headsets! If they (don’t Connect) to your Xbox or xbox-series x you will need to disconnect the power cord to your Xbox device and reconnected, then after words it will connect but now your Xbox remote might get disconnected as well and if you don’t have the usb-C you will have a hard time reconnecting your Xbox remote controller now! Now x box said they will fix this issue in the updates for the Remote controls being disconnected. Now tell yourself something is it worth the price?

They are absolutely perfect. You can connect to your phone and Xbox at the same time, which is super convenient. No weird background noises or feedback. Very much a quality item, I have my own pair and bought this pair as a present for someone else. 10/10 would recommend!!!

I bought this headset for my son. It is the third one we have had in about 6 years. It works great with our Xbox as it will pair wirelessly to it with a USB dongle. Then he can also pair it to his tablet and pick which source he needs at the moment. One con is it is a heavier headset. Be careful as I did have to return it as the one ear piece where it meets the headband broke at that area. I am very grateful my total tech package, was able to return/exchange. A 9x was not in stock and I was going to just have BB send me a new one and I saw the next model down and taking a chance on it.

The battery on these compared to my last head set is terrible. For some reason they like to turn themselves off once in a while too. The audio is ok but my last headset had Dolby atmos and I kind of miss that feature. For the price these could be so much more. I will say they are comfortable though

Great headphones! I got them to replace the Microsoft Xbox headphones since those kept dropping signal throughout gameplay. These Steel Series are a life saver! They sound excellent and keep a solid reception so I don’t have to worry about any drops in sound.
