Bad mic.

Hate that i cannot adjust the mic monitoring on headset. You have to do it by hooking up to pc and adjusting them just to turn around and reconnect to xbox. That annoyed me very bad. Almost returned them. My arctis 7x are better

May be fixed by an update by now but it wasn’t worth the hassle and I got a different headset. Won’t try a SteelSeries product again though. It’s a shame because the headset fit great and sounded amazing

It's important to note that at the time of the recommendations, they had just received their first pair within the previous week. Within a month, they have all had to return their 9x for exchange only to encounter the same issue and are now in the process of returning with SteelSeries directly. These are absolutely not worth the money. I have Astro A40 w/ pro mix amp and figured they would be comparable based on their description. They are no where even close to the same quality. Within the first 2 weeks, I've had to "reset" them numerous times - this involves removing the delicate ear pad and sticking a pin into a deeply recessed hole and poke around until what feels like I might be hitting a "button." They will not stay connected to xbox. They won't hold a charge more than a couple hours so I end up staying corded which negates having a wireless feature. Sometimes, they won't turn on initially and I have to continuously attempt until they do. Unfortunately, I'm over my return period by 3 days. :(
