Best headphones I've tried.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing headset. It was super easy to connect to the xbox series x because it just required one button press. The controls are fun and easily arranged. The headset itself is probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. Used multiple Bose headsets before. The sound is good, although not too bass heavy to provide long term gaming without any kind of headache or ear pain. Brilliant. I thought it would be a problem at first but upon playing for hours on end on fairly high volume, I realize how I was very happy that they didn't do the high bass that Bose does.

Great, with very annoying flaws
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, for a price tag of nearly $200, these headphones have the clear audio you would expect. They’re very comfortable even after close to a year of heavy use, and the hinges only just starting to show wear with clicking and popping. However the connection quality (to the Xbox) is extremely choppy fairly often, to the point of dialogue being completely incomprehensible. The ability to have a Bluetooth connection and the console at the same time is a good perk. I haven’t noticed any issues with the Bluetooth. Battery life holds up with at least ten hours of mid-volume music over gameplay.

Awesome headphone.
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one is Bluetooth gaming headphone. When you connect with 3.5mm, the mic won't work. Musix sounds great. Battery life is decent. I connect it to my android phone, iphone and also my laptop, all works fine. I didn't use it for FPS gaming, I only test with the music app from my laptop. The surround sound seems decent. I wear it for a few hours, gets a bit hot but it is comfortable even for a long time.( And I have a big head ) Mic needs to close to my mouth when chatting, my friend said the sound is clear.

Great cans
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this headset for a few months now and it is the best headset i have owned to date. It is very comfy and the sound quality is great. The only knock on it is that its range is slightly shorter than my old headset (Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 1). It is well worth the price, especially if you play competitive FPS games that rely on precise sound.

Excellent product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.VERY comfortable headset. Excellent mic quality, and it has the ability to independently control the chat/game volumes, which was a game changer in comparison to the last set I had. I like the retractable mic, as I use this sometimes for watching TV, and have it stowed away. The range is not the greatest (if I walk to the kitchen I oftentimes lose connectivity and have to reset it.) But, I rarely leave the vicinity of my TV, so it's a borderline moot point. Build quality is very good. Great sound quality. Overall, very pleased. Hoping this set lasts me a while longer than the last. The best part - NO USB DONGLE. It connects just like the controllers. Huge plus. Would recommend.

Longevity, comfy, sound.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfortable ski goggle style headband, longevity, sound, you wont be disappointed. Ive had mine going on 2 years and any real gamer knows headsets and controllers last a good 6 months unless you buy elites.

GREAT headphones....BUT...
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm so torn about these headphones. I've had them for a while, and I've got to admit, The sound quality is solid, and its great playing FPS games with them because of how precise the directional sound is. I've also never had a more comfortable head set in my life. you forget these things are on, even for loooong gaming sessions. 12 hours plus and my ears were feeling great. the controls/interface are...adequate but could be better. it has a fairly long charge time....although it only tells you when the battery is close to dying versus any type of high low notifications. the charging features for this head set could definitely be improved. Here is where everything great about this, stops mattering. it disconnects CONSTANTLY. From both my Xbox and my PC. not from distance either, when i play my Xbox, the furthest away i sit is 6 feet. Generally its a lot closer. With my PC, the headset is generally within 1 to 3 feet away from my tower. and yet it generally disconnects from my Xbox at least once a gaming session (typically 1 to 3 hours) and has disconnected as frequently as 5 times in a 30 minute period. On my PC it outright disconnects slightly less frequently, but i lose connection integrity all the time. people sometimes start to hear me as garbled, and hear me off and on. And they start cutting out for me. Also, trying to reconnect this headset is a pain in the butt as it can take multiple try's to get either of my 2 Xbox's to pick it up sometimes, (it isn't as big of a problem with my PC). As good this head set could be , great sound quality, amazing comfort. solid battery, none of that matters when i have to constantly stop gaming to reconnect it or i can no longer understand the other people in my party. if your not spending 200 dollars on headphones, i suppose this might be acceptable for a more reasonable price point. but if your gonna pay out this much on top notch head phones, i would recommend looking at different options.

Superb Headset
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had these for about a year now, at first they seemed a little "flimsy" because of the design and how light they feel on my head. They do do fit a little loose because of the elastic suspension band. Rapid head movement could cause them to to move around, especially fore and aft movement. However, for long gaming sessions they feel incredible, you barely even notice them on your nugget. The ear cups breathe well, while blocking out ambient noise. The audio quality is superb and you will hear things in game that lesser headsets miss. Also, the dual connectivity allows you to hear in game audio as well as your phone (for music and taking calls). Battery life is unbelievable, like, seriously. Start a "wake and play" session and this headset will take you into the wee hours of the night. Also, you can charge and play with a long enough cord. Control locations have a short learning curve and connecting them takes as long as connecting a controller. I have had none of the connectivity issues I read about in other reviews. This headset may not be for young kids or ham fisted players due to its design and construction, but if you treat it like the $150 headset that it is, it should take care of you for years.

5/5 on Xbox One - 2/5 on PC
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is complicated so let me help break it down per system. Xbox One: Hands down the best headset I ever owned for xbox. Quality is amazing for a gaming headset, and really comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions, I have a really big head and wear glasses so that's saying a lot! My favorite features, are the mute light, and seperate bluetooth pairing. I love that that I can jam out to music, or take phone calls while playing a game, and on the xbox it is easy to control the game volume and party/game chat with the mixer control that is built onto the headset. That's good so the music won't be over playing over everything and everyone else. And obviously you can control the volume of the music on the bluetooth device. It does have play/pause, skip song, previous song shortcuts that I wasn't aware of. My only complaint is the pairing... It is built for the xbox so pairing was simple and fast. However I did have to hold the pairing button down longer than it instructed. But specifically for the xbox pairing was not an issue. It's when it comes time to switch to the PC where I had issues. Which leads me to the 2nd part of my review... PC: Along with this purchase I also ordered the Xbox wireless adapter for windows 10 for my gaming PC. Originally I intended this headset to be my primary headset for pc. My attempt to pair it to my PC was frustrating and time consuming, and after pairing it to my xbox it kept defaulting to that and turning on my xbox when I attempted to pair it with my pc. After awhile I decided to just plug it in via the provided micro usb cable (wish it was USB C) and it connected instantly! However... It connected via Bluetooth, which prevents from being able to listen to music from a separate device at the same time. Eventually I got it connected the way I intended (via the wireless adapter) and I was able to jam out to my music via bluetooth... but the sound quality was horrible. When connected via wireless adapter there was a very annoying crackling noise that occurs on all of the games I play. After doing research on the web, as of the time I posted this review, others are experiencing the same issues as well and to no avail I have found no troubleshooting steps. Even after updating the firmware and messing with the Steelseries Engine software that you can download from their website this issue still continues. And ultimately is the most disappointing because after dropping $325 plus tax I intended this to be my gaming pc headset but instead became my xbox one headset. It is worth mentioning that the crackling noise does not exist when connected to bluetooth via pc but like I mentioned before prevents me from connecting to another bluetooth device to listen to music and make calls. And also the built in volume mixer does not work on pc like it does on xbox. The wireless adapter still ended up being useful for other uses so it wasn't a complete waste. Overall If you're looking to get a good xbox one headset and have the funds this headset is perfect. Look elsewhere if you plan to use it for pc, or plan to switch back and forth from xbox to pc... I do hope the people over at Steelseries release firmware updates to fix the pairing and sound issues with pc.

The Sony felt heavy in comparison. Every other feature became unimportant to me after hearing the sound and feeling the comfort. eliminated noise and did everything else fine.

Bad connection issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound on this headset sounded great. They were very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. My Mic was crystal clear. The problem I had was that it would just randomly disconnect after a few hours of play. Once it would give me connection issues, my Mic would then get really bad (static and cutting in/out). This would happen randomly after an hour or 2 of continuous play. It wouldn’t be every time I played, just purely random. It would show a full charge when this happened also. When I would be chatting my teammates, they would say they couldn’t hear me at all. What was weird was, they would work perfectly for long periods of time and then randomly would just stop. There was no rhyme or reason as to why this would happen. Nothing in the room changed, I didn’t move positions, there were no other Bluetooth devices added to the room? I would reset them and reset my box and sometimes it would help, other times, it wouldn’t. The only thing that would help every time would be to stop playing for an hour or so and let them Re-charge to a full charge. I bought the Astro A50’s and have not been disappointed.

Excellent gaming headset
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research looking into the right headset for gaming between these and Astro and ended up with this one. I came from a pair of Astro’s and it’s a world of a difference. It’s been absolutely fantastic and sounds great. Arctis nailed it on the head with everything. The experience has been easy and seamless. I can hear footsteps in CoD very well and everything just sounds the way it was meant to be heard. It is insanely comfortable and battery life has been as expected. The mic is great and my friends say I sound more natural. Although it has a premium price, you’re getting a premium headset and I believe it’s worth every penny.

Amazing headset!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from 1st generation Astro 50's that I returned after a year due to loss of signal issues. I decided to change course and try something I seen reviewers say great things about. Needless to say they were right. First let me explain that throughout history I've always preferred headsets that could get extremely loud to the point where I'd have to lower the volume. Well with my last set (A50's) everything sounded jumpled together in one loud sound. I was amazed and annoyed that my son could call out footsteps near us while gaming using a cheap headset while I couldn't hear it using a $300 dollar set cranked up. I even let him use them on Fortnite and he told me he "couldn't separate where the sound was coming from". So it wasn't just myself! So I tried multiple things like changing the headset settings, tried Dolby Atmos on and off, etc... in the end I determined to go another route. Reading reviews of comparison between this set and my last set, people kept saying the SteelSeries had better mids, treble, highs, etc... and ranked a bit lower on base than the A50. And that they couldn't get as loud. The first day I played with them I was absolutely amazed! I could not believe how much detail I was missing playing with my last set compared to these. Somehow this set with Dolby Atmos on, in the game Tomb Raider Shadow of the tomb, I was hearing insane details of different levels of noises in the jungle. Monkeys in the trees, animals running into the grass, flies buzzing, a distant beating of drums from a tribe, foliage being stepped on, Laura's breathing and grunts, the wind blowing, etc... it was crazy that it felt like a whole new game to me. The Dolby Atmos app works so much better on this set. I hear the footsteps my son did on first person shooter games like PubG and Call of Duty. Fortnite isn't just a loud jumpled mess, I can hear levels and range as to where opponents are and if they are above or below me. I dont understand the technology behind it but what I take from the reviews of the 2 compared to each other. Although this set might have less deep base and overall loudness, it destroys my 1st gen version of the Astro 50's (not sure if the 4th gen version they sell now have gotten better). But I highly and strongly suggest this headset. The only slight negative I've read about these is they are susceptible to wifi frequencies close by and once and a while break in and out. I've had it happen a few times but so did my A50's which got worst as time went by.

Arctis 9x
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality, great sound, and sooo comfortable. The arctis 9x have got to be the best pair of headphones I've ever owned. Turtle beaches used to be my favorite brand but would consistently break on me. So I took a chance and bought steel series and a 2 year warranty just in case. So far so good. They are better in every way considering the most expensive turtle beaches I had were the gen 1 $100 wireless headset. Even the battery life is better the ease of use is better and using the headset on my phone or laptop is pretty cool.
