Customers consistently note the Arctis GameBuds offer good sound quality, comfortable fit, and satisfactory battery life. The inclusion of a USB-C dongle slot and effective active noise cancellation are appreciated features. Some find the bass response could be improved. The availability of numerous EQ presets and low latency 2.4Ghz wireless support are also positives.

Initially, I was going to return this item. The volume was really low and sound quality was poor. Many steps later and it is good.
Recommend following their instructions for initial setup. Get all updates in 1.4.0 at this time. Once setup, make sure the device profile is 'FLAT' under the device itself under Devices in GG.
In addition at the bottom there is a setting to limit volume. Turn that off.
Then under profiles you can set your volume profiles for example under Game I also adjusted the gain +8.0 dB. This gave me enough sound (and at 2.4GHz very good sound) at 80% volume. You can crank up the gain to 12.0 dB.
Also, BT doesn't sound nearly as good as 2.4 but its a bit tricky to setup as well because it is treated as (2) devices which means you need to do those same settings twice.
These sound amazing after those adjustments, and the instructions on this aren't really clear.

Great earbuds. I would say they are like the airpods pro gen 1 and the galaxy pro 2 for a good example in normal audiences. Its super great in every aspect except 2 things 1 is connection. For whatever reason steel series is kinda hit or miss in this the adapter they use doesnt sometimes like 10% of the time connect when getting on from a off console it connects but in a party you are hearing everone but it says connect mic. The fix is just disconnect the adapter and plug it back in. The number 2 is the mic is kinda bad. I mean its like the galaxy pro 2 mic its not bad but its like your far away from the microphone which you definitely are since this sits in your ear with no stem or blade coming out facing your mouth

I bought these for use with ps5, series x, and pc. The bluetooth is great and the headphones sound really good. There is a vast number of equilizer settings, which is great, and the transparency and noise calcellation work well. However, they're pretty much useless to me because the volume using the dongle on ps5, series x, or pc makes the volume super low. I turned off volume limiter, turned up the console volume, and tried making custom eqs with sonar, and it didn't fix the issue. Steel series, please make the volume better. Until then, these are a 9 out of 10 would not recommend.

They are great at what they do. I have the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless headset and they are pretty similar, but in earbud form. They connect with 2.4 wireless and bluetooth, but you can't listen to audio from both simultaneously, unlike the full size headsets. You can swap between 2.4 and bluetooth with a button, and I think it can automatically change to bluetooth if you get a call, which is nice. The ANC is not as good as something from Bose or Sony but it is better than nothing. It is great that you can use them as gaming buds or just regular bluetooth earbuds.

I really really wanted to like these GameBuds. I have had a SteelSeries Arctis 9 headset for nearly 2 years and loved it. It gave out on me today sadly. I purchased these GameBuds because I really really wanted them to work and work well.
Unfortunately, I will be returning them tomorrow and getting a proper headset. Like I said, I really wanted to like these earbuds. They sound amazing for earbuds and honestly if I hadn't run into the issues that I did I would have considered getting them as backup at a later date.
The first issue I had was the buds didn't have separate channels like my Arctis 9 headset did. With my headset, I was able to separate chat (discord), game sound, and even other media if I decided to. This way I could change the volume levels of one without messing with the other. The buds don't have this feature.
The second issue came after using them for roughly an hour and a half. The left ear randomly started losing connection. That alone makes me very hesitant to use these for gaming especially streaming. I hate having to troubleshoot on stream and if my earbuds kept losing connection I would get very frustrated very fast.
Now the right one started losing connection. I AM LITERALLY SITTING NEXT TO THE WIRELESS DONGLE! Unless it's just a weird issue I was having I would consider these a waste of money (and time).
Hello Nathan - Thank you for reaching out through this platform. We are sorry to hear about the challenges with your GameBuds! In future, we suggest reaching out to the SteelSeries Support Team, who would be more than willing to help with troubleshooting your gear.
Regarding your different channels, this is something that is still possible, but through Sonar on the SteelSeries App, GG. We want to make sure that you are having a great experience with your SteelSeries device. Thanks again!

First off i wanna say these are great for people who hate hot ears from the standard gaming headsets. Outside of the xbox they are decent for music from your phone or taking calls. Yeah, it sucks you can use 2.4 and BT at the same time but whatever. The anc isnt great. Where they really shine is comfort as i can wear these for hour whereas some earbuds hurt my ears after 1hr+. Another big downside: the mic. Sometimes my mate say i sound great but theres times they say i sound like im in a tunnel? 4/5 overall just for the comfort dispite the downsides

These are great earbuds that work for multiple video game consoles and PC. I particularly use them for my Nintendo switch too as well as gaming on my PlayStation. Very happy with them. I think that adaptive noise control is superb. I do wish they would provide a cleaning tool to remove ear wax on it. Oh no, great purchase and especially appreciate the price.

This device is a must have for anyone with a handheld especially. The 3d audio is superb for how small the device is. I agree it’s a little pricey at Msrp but if you can find them on sale like I did then they are more than worth it. Definitely recommend!

They are super comfortable and the software is very good at what it does. I think there is a missed opportunity though which is why I gave it a 4 star. The transparent mode isnt good enough to allow voices in eve. The lowest volume settings or even while audio isnt played through the device. Fix that though and its easily 5of5.

I am a steelseries stan. I have converted 5 people to their products already. All over the ear headphones. I got these as soon as i could. The quality is great. The bass is there. Million of presets for games in the app. I have found the dongle doesnt work with my work chromebook though, which is sad because i need it to work there so i can bluetooth to my phone still. The dongle works with my home comouter just fine. My friends are all about to get a pair of these as well. Oh and the other thing i dont like is you have to use the computer to create presets THEN move them over from the computer to your phone. Thats too much work. I should be able to create EQ mixes from my phone as well.

The first pair I bought were broken - they weren’t synced to the dongle from factory, and after checking the online manual I figured out how to resync them. Unfortunately only one would sync to 2.4 while the other would only sync to 5. So i exchanged them for another pair and while they worked, getting them to connect to my Mac for the firmware update was a whole other problem that i had to use Google to solve. I’m not impressed with noise cancellation since i can still hear people talking at a normal volume in the room, and I had to turn the mic all the way to max so my friends can hear my coms. In the end, they’re just ok but I really don’t recommend them.

Amazing sound quality with really good battery life. The steelseries app is a bit annoying to deal with at times, but the premade audio modes are really good and have a wide selection of games.

Not only did this fit perfectly in my ears but they have amazing sound. I play rainbow six siege and finally found gaming earbuds that make it easy to hear where players are cominh from. Setup was easy, comfortable fit, great in game sound! Definitely recommend :)

Sound is great, and the connectivity between devices is amazing and the battery life is UNREAL

Great sound and mic quality, especially for wireless ear buds. No connectivity issues while playing. Noise cancellation eliminates all distractions. Will always recommend.

I'd go with 4.5 but it's not an option. Noise cancelling works well and the 2.4 mode gives pretty decent sound with very little latency. Connection seemed a little wonky at first but after doing it a few time,s no issues. Wireless charging is nice too

Widespread known issue with Active noise cancelation. You will hear popping, crackling and in general distorted sounds when that is on. So technically ANC is not working. Gave it three stars because it really is a great product when ANC off, the sound and details are well received. The UI is amazing and size fit perfect. If not for that issue it would be the perfect product.
Minus 2 star because:
1. ANC (Active noise canceling) does not work
2. The set up was very difficult to set up. Once it's set though everything works smooth.
