I bought this for my wife recently and honestly it’s a great headset for the price. I personally have the arctis 7 and the two compared in my opinion are not a crazy difference for your every day person. If you need a budget friendly headset this is the one for you. It’s comfortable and it gives you what you’re looking for.

I have owned products from another big name gaming component company exclusively for the last 14 years and finally decided to branch out and try something new. I went with SteelSeries because I recognize the brand name, heard good things about them and their pricing is great. I picked up the Arctis Nova 1 Headset and two SteelSeries keyboards, one for myself and one for my husband about a week ago. I set up my headset two days ago and straight out of the box, I could only hear out of one ear. I disconnected and reconnected the cord at all parts (three connections, three pieces - PC to another cord and then that cord plugs into the headset). I was then able to get sound out of both ears but within 5 mins or so, it cut out and I was back to sound on only one side. The only way to fix this was to unplug the middle cord piece and then replug it back in. I would have sound for 5-10 mins and then it would cut out and I had to do the same thing again. It was like this the entire time I tried it, up until about an hour ago when I returned it for a replacement. I understand that with electronics you will sometimes get duds. The thing with SteelSeries is that my husband set up his keyboard two days ago as well and the Windows key wouldn't work! Mine works fine but his didn't. Having 2/3 products purchased come to us with defects is not a good ratio. We did the exchange and things seem to be working well for us now and I do like the sound quality and feel of the head set so I will keep it and see how things go but I would be lying if I didn't say I was worried about the quality.

As someone who has ears that stick out and whose head hurts after wearing typical headphones, these are super comfortable. The elastic band keeps my head from hurting and the ear muffs have enough space (with some adjustment) to keep my ears comfortable. And the mic works well too. Highly recommended.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 is a fantastic gaming headset for the price. The sound is clear and detailed, making it easy to hear important in-game audio like footsteps, and the mic works great for clear communication with teammates. It’s super comfortable, even during long sessions, and works seamlessly across multiple devices like PC, consoles, and phones. While the build isn’t super high-end, it’s lightweight and sturdy enough for regular use. Overall, it’s a great choice if you want solid performance without spending too much.

I've had this headset for 2 years and is a wonderful steelseries product. I only just realized it has been 2 years but even still I think that kinda proves that it's been amazing since I use it almost daily. Very durable as well although I've been very careful with it. I also love the cable extension too

We bought this headphone as a temporary replacement for my son’s Astro a40’s. He likes this better. Sound quality is great. Light and comfortable to wear. Way cheaper than Astro headphone. All in all it’s a winner.

Alright, let's keep this short and sweet. The Arctis Nova 1 Wired Gaming Headset by SteelSeries? Absolute winner, mate. Looks sleek, sound quality is mind-blowing - it's like you're right there in the game. Those tiny in-game sounds? Picks them up perfectly. Got some loud mates on Discord? No problem, the mic is spot on, your voice comes through clear as day and doesn't pick up your neighbor's dog barking. Worried about comfort? Don't be. The headset's design is smart - it fits well and won't make your head or ears sore even after hours of gaming. And don't sweat the wired part - there's no annoying lag, and you won't be constantly worrying about charging or batteries dying. Bottom line, the Arctis Nova 1 is a kickass bit of kit. A solid choice for any gamer who values quality and comfort. Trust me, it's worth it.
