Great sound. Basically noise canceling. The pairing for the dongle or bluetooth works great.

Was in need of new headset so I bought these. At first I was skeptical because I didn't know if I was going to like them. But I'm glad I did, the sound is good, I have no complaints so far. They are worth it to me. So I would recommend them to family members!

I am a consistent and avid gamer and I have owned and tested numerous headsets over the years. Initial setup and connecting seemed more difficult than it should have been and subsequent attempts to connect have been inconsistent. There certainly are good things to say about this headset but there are also things on the opposite end of the spectrum to say. Let's start with the positive. The packaging is amazing! The box that it comes in is ultra slim profile and when I got it my first question was what the quality of the headset would be given the packaging however SteelSeries managed to ultra-efficiently package all the required components into this slimlined presentation. I must admit that the build of the headset felt light to me and I questioned its durability not having any visible metal components. It does feel comfortable on the head and it has an adjustable and flexible headband. It only has one volume adjustment wheel on the headset and controlling gameplay vs chat volumes need to be done through the downloadable app. The sound quality is good and it has a detachable mic. It advertises over 200 sound settings but I'm Xbox is much less. Regardless, the available settings through the app are labeled by what game is played. The option to customize your own equalization exists but cannot be done through the app itself. My guess is it needs to be connected to a computer for that luxury. Regardless, for me, when it works it works fine but I've had multiple times where it didn't 'just work's by turning it on and getting into gameplay. I want to score it higher than I did and will do so if I find out the difficulties I've experienced were due to my user error. Caveat Emptor.

As other reviewers have mentioned it's also my first time trying out this brand headset. I was pleasantly surprised right off the bat at how good they sounded, lightweight and ever so comfortable to wear for long periods. Included is a removable plug-in style microphone, a USB-C dongle that plugs into whatever you're using and it has a nice USB-A adapter just in case your PC or game console doesn't have a USB-C input. It also had a small USB-C to USB-C charging cable. Everything came nicely packed with an instruction sheet as well. I downloaded the Arctis Companion App and there are tons of game presets to choose from which I found really makes a difference in the sound quality of a game. I tried out Indiana Jones & The Great Circle and Gran Turismo 7. WOW! The noises I never seemed to hear before just using external speakers blew me away! I then listened to music of various genres and everything sounded truly outstanding. The EQ on the app helps spice up those sounds you need to hear. I usually have a difficult time finding a headset that is comfortable for me to wear ~ either too big or too tight. I have to say these, which are adjustable, fit my head perfectly right out of the box. They definitely block outside noises too. The controls are so easy to manipulate and you can use 2.4GHz or Bluetooth for a connection. I am enjoying wearing this SteelSeries headset and can definitely recommend them. Priced right with superb quality! You can't go wrong with this purchase!

First time trying SteelSerise and for the price, they're fantastic so far. Coming from Turtle Beach gen 1 stealth 600, these are super comfortable, they built well, light weight and the frame itself is nice and quiet compared to the TB 600s. Battery life has been impressive and the app control with audio profiles are user friendly. Would definitely recommend for the value. Only thing I'd complain about is the foam over the mic. If you touch it to adjust, it's quite loud and crunchy sounding. Beyond that, solid.

Great wireless headset for the price. It’s lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions, with solid sound quality and clear mic performance. Battery life is excellent and the fast charging is a big plus. I also like that it works easily across Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, and mobile without hassle. Build quality isn’t premium, but overall it’s a great value and performs exactly as expected.

    Awesome sound mediocre PC App

I play on PC so my experience is using these mostly on a windows PC. With that said one of the cool features is that you can connect them to a phone with Bluetooth and they have an app there too. So you can use these beyond just one device. The setup is somewhat simple, plug in the dongle and then the headphones on. Make sure your in the right mode on the headphones and also double check dongle is in PC mode (mine wasn’t, so it didn’t work at first). I also got the Steel GG app on the computer running. There is where thing are a little weird. When you go to change the sound to pick the headphone, there is a different option based on what type of mode you want to use. So you need to select the output on windows to be gaming or chat or whatever and change it if you want to use another mode. I’d rather have just one and let the app select it for me. They also have sound setup by game, which is awesome. And I must say it makes the games sound awesome. But you need to manually select it, why can’t it just automatically know essentially since the capture feature does know when you get a certain accomplishment. Having to open and change it is a pain. The app is also kind of odd in its layout. And it’s hard to know what does what. Not the most intuitive to use and only reason I go in is cause I need to change the game sound to use. Overall, great headset and hopefully with software updated the windows app gets better.

SteelSeries has had a really good track record in the past few years. With their mechanical keyboards, gaming earbuds and headphones. They've all been news-worthy in my book. But there's something about these Nova Arctis 3X wireless gaming headphones that just doesn't completely sit well with me and my general outlook of what SteelSeries is truly capable of I understand that Xbox has been given the short end of the stick when it comes to wireless gaming headphones, due in part not fully embracing Bluetooth. That still has me a little perplexed. but that shouldn't and hasn't stood in the way of SteelSeries making top-notch gear for the platform. Just a disclaimer. Any pair of gaming headphone that are designed with XBOX in mind, should, and quite possibly will work for any gaming console or PC that you may own. They just need to add a dongle for Microsoft's gaming system. So if you like this design and your console specific pair isn't available, by all means, feel free to scoop these up and game on. Inside the box, you'll get your headphones, boom mic, charger, and dongle. All you'll need to get game night in full swing. The USB cord will be needed to connect a PC for periodic updates (I have to say, that I do like that.). And also, for charging the Bluetooth aspect of the headphones. Also, great. My problem is comfort. The ear cups on the earpieces makes my ears sweat up a storm, and I'm not a fan of sweating while on a livestream for the world to see. They also feel a bit small for my liking. So, it felt like there should've been a designated child/adult option. They sound really nice, both when speaking and listening. They also feel and look cheap. The lower price does compensate for that, but I've come to expect more from the brand. Honestly, if you're okay with this build quality, go ahead a go cheaper. But, for the sound quality to price ratio, this is definite win. In the end, this isn't their best work, but it's also far from their worst. So there's your trade-off. These would make for great spare headphones, but main drivers, they aren't.

My go-to gaming headset. I go through headsets like crazy. As of now, this one is great. Sound is pretty good quality. I'm actually able to switch back and forth from my Xbox to my Phone by pressing a button on the headset, which is cool to have in between the warzone games.

Love this headset, big fan of steel series. Bought it as an intro wireless headset for a friend and she loves the ease of use. Good range, so she's able to step away (not very far) without loosing connection or the sound quality messing up. Bit hard to connect it on the jump, but once she got everything set up and assigned, hasn't had an issue since.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my son. He loves it. The app comes with EQ presets for different games. They’re definitely comfortable also, because there’s a stretch band that rides underneath the top, which keeps the headset from sitting directly on your head.
