The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3X wireless headset is a versatile headset for gaming and mobile usage. It's much lighter weight than other headsets on the market with similar sound quality. Switching from bluetooth to 2.4 mode is as easy as a press of a button and connection is almost seamless. The vast range of custom EQ setups gives you catalog of over 250 games over 4 different platforms. I really enjoy the mic monitoring function and the fact you can customize the mic level in the app so you can make sure your mates hear you in any situation! One of the downsides is that you have to use their app to customize the EQ settings if you want to tweak anything. the mobil app gives you access to the premade ones but you'll need a PC to access the full customization suite. (not Mac compatible) Once you've created a free account however there's a ton you can work with including spatial audio which is super cool especially for FPS games where location is key to success. Different mic settings offer you the ability to. change how you sound to others as well. The headset itself has great audio and is lightweight for the output making it a great choice for longer sessions. Overall I really enjoy the Arctic Nova 3x, I just wish the customization had a native xbox app for ease of use for xbox players as well.

I am delighted with these headphones. They are very comfortable and were easy to set up
The setup process is simple. Just connect the dongle to your device and presto. I had no problem connecting this to my gaming laptop. It's nice they include a USB-A adapter in case your device doesn't have them or your ports are full.
The headphones are very comfortable. I appreciate that you can adjust the padding, which is very comfortable. The ear cups are comfortable and don't squeeze my head like some headphones have a tendency to do.
I like the ability to remove the mic. I don't always need it so I'll remove it sometimes. It's easy to connect, but also solid when it's in there because of the shaped molding around the connection. As a result of the removable mic, I imagine you can use these headphones for listening to audio on your phone if you'd like.
I didn't download the suggested software. I've had a great experience without it. I'm not an audiophile, but for me the sound is great.
I would definitely recommend these headphones.

TLDR: This is a new great priced, gaming full-size, adult-sized, oval ear cup headphone from Denmark’s Steelseries with over 200 games audio presets, that works with a PC, with XBOX, with a Bluetooth device, also uses 2.4 Ghz WiFi connections and has a plug-in removable microphone with a windscreen. It recharges fast for 40 hours of use on a charge. It is 260 grams light, and has a comfort headband and multi-hinges for durability.
Box Contents: The factory box arrives with the Nova 3XGaming headphones, a USB-C transceiver dongle for the 2.4 Ghz connection, a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging the headphones via a phone charger or any USB port on a computer or other modern device that also includes a USB charging port. The box includes a windscreen for the boom microphone.
Also included is a USB-A to USB-C dongle extension cable and an Info guide.
It is available globally in 6 colors; the one I have is black.
Some of the Nova 3X the features:
Factory Presets for popular games such as CoD, FORTNITE, and 200 others . Factory audio presets in the Arctis Companion app allow hearing game sounds better. It works great!
Fast Charging.15 minutes plugged into a charger equals up to 9 hours playback per SteelSeries. A full charge lasts up to 40 hours. I have yet to charge this headset after days of using it for gaming and for music and phone call use.
Comfortable in use and lightweight. It weighs 260 grams (6/10th of a lb) and includes a stretch headband for comfort in use and many adjustment points. It also has a dual-hinge design to reduce stress points for durability. It is not heavy on my head and the multiple movements minimize many stress points to enhance durability.
Utilizes Neodymium magnetic drivers. SteelSeries says they have developed custom-designed high-fidelity audio drivers to produce clear highs, pinpoint mids, and deep bass. Game sounds, voices and music sound great.
USB-C Plug and Play functionality. This allows quick swapping among Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, handhelds, phones or tablets with a multi-platform USB-C Dongle for the user who has several or all of those platforms. I used it on a PC, XBox and my Android phone easily on each of those platforms.
The headphone requires using a Nova App for utilizing all of the audio features for game playing. There is also a Windows PC Store SteelSeries GG app for customizing the sound equalization and some other settings if desired. The headset sounds good out of the box, nonetheless.
The headphone has a Quick-Switch button to instantly move to Bluetooth (say when a phone call is received) and using the switch again will go back to the 2.4Ghz gaming mode. One can only listen to either bluetooth or 2.4 Ghz streams, not both simultaneously.
The microphone is a quick plug in and plug out for the left ear cup and is ClearCast per SS with 32Khz/16bit audio to sound clear and defined with a claimed 2 X bandwidth and 2 X clarity compared to other microphones.
In use I know no one ever stated I was not clear both during gaming and on phone calls using these headphones.
I used this headphone extensively and can state that in Bluetooth use the sound quality is very good both for music playback, phone calls, podcast streaming and general listening with both my Android phone, my XBox console, and my Windows gaming laptop via Bluetooth.
In use for gaming, with the 2.4 Ghz WiFi USB dongle transceiver, the quality is very good. Other players heard me, since there was instant response by other gamers in the taunt and snipe mode we all engage in during game play.
I fully charged the battery using a USB phone charger. Specs indicate that using a charger for only 15 minutes will produce 9 hours of use. I anticipate the claims of 40 hours of use on Bluetooth are realistic.
Note that there is a stretch band directly below the top scalp headband that makes wearing the unit more comfortable. This stretch band is adjustable and removable and I assume washable with simple hand soap to remove any hair and scalp oils. It snaps back on easily. This is a feature of this brand and to me it works for comfort.
The headphone is very comfortable to have on and is not overly heavy. The ear pads are comfortable for me as a grown adult and fully envelop my ears with their oval shape. There is a dual-hinge design for movement in many planes for durability. That is smart. Game play is active and quick.
Note that there is a stretch band directly below the top scalp headband that makes wearing the unit more comfortable. This stretch band is adjustable and removable and washable with simple hand soap. It snaps back on easily. This is a feature of this brand and to me it works very well for comfort.
I enjoyed using this headphone due to both performance and comfort while in use.

I picked up the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3X Wireless Gaming Headset mainly for its cross-platform promise, and I’ve got to say—it lives up to the hype. Right out of the box, the unboxing experience felt premium. The headset comes neatly packed with a soft-touch finish, a USB-C dongle, charging cable, and a 3.5mm audio cable. Everything about the packaging screamed sleek and intentional, nothing cheap or thrown together.
Getting it set up was a breeze. I downloaded the SteelSeries GG app on both my PC and Android phone. The app instantly recognized the headset once I plugged in the dongle, and that’s when I realized just how many sound presets this thing offers. There are tons—game-specific modes, music presets, even voice-enhancing settings for chat-heavy sessions. The cool part is, you’re not stuck with cookie-cutter EQ settings. You can tweak and save your own, which I did for games like Call of Duty and Destiny 2. The app makes this all super intuitive, and switching profiles depending on what I’m playing or listening to has become second nature.
As for sound quality, it’s impressive across the board. Explosions and gunfire in Call of Duty felt punchy and directional, footsteps in Fortnite were clear and gave me a legit edge, and the soundtrack in Destiny 2 had this cinematic richness that surprised me. On the music side, the bass is full but not overpowering, and mids and highs stay crisp. Whether I’m gaming or just streaming music on my phone, the headset holds up without missing a beat.
Comfort-wise, they nailed it. I’ve worn these for sessions that easily stretched past four hours, and I never felt that pinch or heat you get with some other headsets. The headband has this flexible, floating design, and the ear cushions are soft enough that I forget I’m even wearing them after a while.
The battery life’s been strong too. I’ve gone a couple of days on a single charge with mixed use—gaming on PC, watching content on my phone, and hopping into party chats. It definitely delivers on long sessions without needing a midday top-off.
I love that I can bounce between platforms without any headaches. I’ve paired it with my Android phone, my PC, and even tried it out with a friend’s Xbox. It connected quickly every time, and I didn’t have to fumble with settings or connections. Just plug the dongle in, and it works. That kind of seamless experience makes a huge difference, especially when switching between gaming and mobile use.
Overall, the Arctis Nova 3X surprised me in all the right ways. It’s a well-rounded headset that doesn’t feel locked into one system, and the sound tuning options through the app make it super versatile. It nails the essentials—great sound, great comfort, long battery—and throws in that extra polish with cross-platform ease. If you’re looking for a wireless headset that’ll cover gaming and everyday listening across your devices, this one’s worth checking out.

First time I eveer got anything Steel Series for headphones was years ago and they were wired type which were for PC gaming but I honestly can say they were worthless compared to the Arctis Novas. When I got the Arctis Novas I didn't know exactly what to think at the time because I'm so used to one brand just as I am with PC parts most of everything for my PC comes from a company that begins with a C and I'll let y'all guess which one. The headphone that I do have have almost lived up to they're time span so to speak, but this head phone for Steel Series takes the cake for sound, weight and comfort. The Soound from the Arctis Novas is outstanding and I can actually say this I'm hearing things in the games I play such as the Diablo series that I never heard with the other with the software that Steel Series has. The comfort is something that I truly look at and these are very comfortable to the point that I forget that I have them on and thats not just because of the wieght of them, the ear pads are soft enough to not interfer with heaaring aids if you have to wear them like I do, the head strap is adjustable and can be removed for cleaning if needed . The wieght man ohj man they are very light wieght and do not put any pressure on your head what so ever. The only this that I honestly dislike about the is the fact of the mic being a plug in type and not one that you can raise to mute but hey it is what it is so to speak. As with any new set of headphones you'll need to search in the setting of your games to set them up properly. As for anyone that's looking for a great quality set of headphones that are both wireless and bluetooth these in my opinion are well worth getting and I do recommend them 100%

Just to be transparent, I am really picky when it comes to the sound of my gaming headset. I like it to be full and robust, not tinny or thin. Also, I am not fan of dongles but in this case, this one is minimalistic and black so it blends right in. I did download the app to set up my preferred sound and have not used it since. So far, I am pretty impressed with this headset. It is quite loud and using the app the first time to dial in the sound vs. chat volume is necessary. Once you have it the way you like, use the main volume dial to set your volume. My team mates report a nice clean sound when speaking and I can hear footsteps in the correct orientation clearly. I like the fit of these but beware as they are on the smaller and tighter side which, after a few hours, becomes noticeable. The cup material is also fabric so they breathe well but are on the warmer side. I do wish the mic was flip to mute but adjusting to the mute button above the volume wheel has not been a problem. I have experienced the headset not connecting to the console on the first power up a few times but that is usually fixed by powering the headset off and then back on. Overall, I would give this 4.5 stars and I will continue to use them going forward

This is my first time using a SteelSeries product. It's a great all-around headset that won't break the bank. The headset is lightweight and has a snug, comfortable fit. As someone with a smaller head it can be difficult to find headphones that fit well but the included headband helps ensure it fits any head size well. If you are not a fan of the headband that's ok because it is adjustable and removable. Whether you are gaming or just listening to music these are a great choice. The overall sound is great and paired with the noise cancelation it really gets you immersed in whatever you are listening to. The microphone sounds very clean and the ability to remove it adds to the versatility of the headset. The included wireless receiver makes setup for the headset a piece of cake. That paired with its Bluetooth capabilities make it easy to switch from gaming to listing to music on your phone. Also if you are worried about not having a USB-C port for the receiver there's no need because SteelSeries included a USArctis Nova 3X Wireless Headset are a perfect choice.

To start I don't claim to be an audiophile, if anything I'm far from one... I love headphones with bass though and will seek out headphones with good bass. I also do not own an Xbox. I own a PS5 and gaming PC. So this review will come from that perspective.
If there is one thing you can take from this review it's this: use the volume slider on headset. The volume is independent on whatever device your connected to. This was about to be completely different review. A negative one in fact. I was switching between Bluetooth headphones and these that use a 2.4g dongle. The Bluetooth headphones were louder and punchier. At this point I was wondering why someone would even bother buying these. The Bluetooth headphones I have will change the volume on the PC. These do not change the volume of the PC. They have their own separate volume adjustment. Once I turned it up the experience improved ten-fold because they were so low out of the box.
The volume button also works as a play/pause button with one press. Double press skips your song. Triple press is the previous song. You have a mic mute button. You also have a power button. You hold it down to turn on. Press it once to cycle between 2.4g mode and Bluetooth mode. There is a voice feedback that will tell you which mode you are in. There are also chimes you get for feedback of these buttons. None of them are loud or annoying.
What was annoying was creating an account for Steel Series GG software. You need this software to max out the functionality of the headset. I understand that it is probably a good idea to create an account to sync your sound settings across devices... but why... It could be saved on the headphones. There was a time where you did not need an account to use the full functionality of your devices.
Without the software it works fine. You get some level of noise cancelling. It won't be as good as more premium headphones and headsets but it's not bad. I promise you it's enough for whatever gaming room you are in. You'll barely hear your keyboard and barely hear down the hall. The microphone is alright as well. Your mic won't be the loudest out of the gaming group. Your game and media will sound okayish.
Now this is why the app is necessary. Under the sonar section in the app I found all these game changing improvements. I found out how to make my mic louder by adjusting the EQ. There is an option for noise gate to cut out some of my heavy breathing. Under the media section I found a pre-made "deep bass" preset. It sounds awesome for bass lovers like myself. Under game mode I found a spatial audio toggle. You move the slider to reflect the game you are playing. A competitive FPS type game or more of a story driven game.
So overall, I think paired with the software this headset is really good and has a lot of potential. For this value, it cannot be beat.

Don’t like the sound quality and said that you can customize them from phone just the same controls that you get in the xbox
