Very great quality. The only flaw is that the bluetooth adapter is that it is made in an awkward shape that it will not allow you to plug in anything in the USB port if you plug it in the front (ps5); however, very light and the microphone is able to hide inside the left ear speaker to prevent damage. Also the headset is very light. Perfect for the average person. This is that headset people sleep on.

I made the switch from the A50 to the Arctis Nova 5. The Nova 5 is very simple and straight forward when pairing and customizing. The phone app is game changer since you can easily switch between presets for different gaming. Footsteps, you can hear it all with these headsets! Listening to music sounds crisp with good bass. The max volume is very loud once you turn off the limiter option from the phone app. I bought 3 (2 for me and 1 for wifey) and all works perfectly. My wife loves them. I will def recommend to anyone looking to buya gaming headset.

I can confidently say the Steel Series Arctics Nova 5 are the best headphones I have used. I used the Arctics 2 and some other headphones and the cord always felt like it would get in the way, however, the wireless accessibility and comfort is absolutely worth it with these.

Was finally in the market for a new headset for my PS5 and saw this one on sale. I am replacing my turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 that I got about four years ago. First I love how easy it is to connect to Bluetooth and through the dongle of my PS5. The app to have different presets for games is a lot of fun. Sound is great, connection is good. There are only two things I miss going from my turtle beach and that was the automatic connection to both Bluetooth and the dongle. If I got a call I didn’t have to switch to Bluetooth mode and if you want to have a different preset for a game you have to be in Bluetooth mode not 2.4. Other than that, great headset.

The microphone quality is really good, even on console. That's what I was most concerned about. The audio quality is good too and you can tweak it a lot to suit your preference. I'd say if you're gonna buy a headset, you may as well get this one.

Perfect headphones to replace my wired Corsair H60's, they sound great, even better when you unlock the audio limiter in the phone app. They are very comfortable, super light and sound great with games.

Sound chops up on microphone in large parties don’t know why but it just doesn’t make sense maybe I got a faulty pair I don’t know but it sucks because pausing 130 on a headset I’d expect better sound is really good don’t get me wrong but yea the app to adapt noise is good too.

First Impressions - This gaming headphone set came well packed including all of the accessories. The headset with extendable MIC,
USB-C and USB extension cords and a 2.4GHZ dongle were nicely separated and well bundled. Upon removing the headset, I plugged it
in to charge and waited around an hour to for it to indicate charging complete.
Comfort - These are more comfortable than every other gaming headset I have used. The combination of adjustable fabric suspension strap
along with the soft ear cups and light weight make them "disappear" once you have them on. It's a very odd feeling putting on a headset
that appears somewhat large and then to barely be able to notice you wearing it. I've used a few other headsets in this style in the past
but have yet to have one be as comfortable as this.
Noise cancellation - The ear cups provide enough ambient noise cancellation to cause someone else to have to yell so you can hear them.
Wireless - Finally - A headset that works with everything I want to pair it with ! This can toggle between a connected Bluetooth device
and a connection to the wireless dongle. That's important for me in an environment where I may need to answer a call coming in on my cell
while gaming, watching a movie or listening to music from my PC.
Buttons - There is a volume adjustment, a quick switch to flip between dongle connected and Bluetooth - this includes notification beep
if you have an incoming call and a power/pairing mode switch. All controls are textured and work in a way to make it easy to operate
from the headset while it is on via touch.
Media and Conference call use - After watching a movie or two with these, I connected to my work computer for conference calls throughout the week. I used
the mic extensively and played back recorded audio to make sure it picks up my voice. It does occasionally pick up on ambient sound but
the effect is minimal compared to some less expensive headsets I have used.
Audio Quality - Is great at a low to mid volume which I consider important as I am not usually trying to melt my eardrums with
my headset. If you turn these up the bass response is very strong and clear along with mids that tend to be drowned out on lower end
earphones. I did do some light gaming and the low end response at any volume level is very good which adds a lot to quiet horror games.
Battery life - is advertised at up to 60 hours. I'm currently around 40 hours of use and I have yet to charge these. That is at least double
and possibly triple the life of any wireless headset I have used this actively.
What I love-
COMFORT - Adjust the inner support correctly, fit them and they disappear
Battery Life - This is "all week use" for me. No worries about having to constantly charge.
Room for improvement-
It would be nice if the battery was swappable. Appears to be internal and not replaceable.

SteelSeries has slowly been taking over my desk, when I had a chance to grab the Arctis Nova 5 I was definitely interested.
In the Box you get the Arctis Nova 5 Headset, USB-C Wireless Dongle, USB-C to USB-A Charge Cable, USB-C to USB-A cable externsion for the dongle, Sticker Swag plus manuals and guides. In both instances, pairing has been fairly seemless, bluetooth works like pairing any other device on my phone. The dongle also worked pretty much straight away as I have had a couple SteelSeries Keyboards and a Mouse, with the software preinstalled, it simply needed to detect the device.
I really like the retractable mic on this headset, I can place the mic to a usable position that's picks up my voice at a reasonable speaking volume and isn't right in front of my mouth with it's flexible extension. The Audio quality is really good, the software is quite robust also, there is a lot of preconfigured audio profiles for games that you can select either in the SteelSeries GG Software of the Arctis Nova 5 App of your phone. I don't mess with equalizers a lot, so I love that they have taken the guess work out of it for me. I would like if SteelSeries made it so the Bluetooth and 2.4 mode could be used at the same time, allowing you to change the audio profiles more on the fly using a bluetooth device. Plus this would give you the ability to hear audio from your phone or tablet when killing time between matches or waiting for others to get through jumping puzzles. Not breaking in any way though, the 50 Hour battery life I can believe, I was able to game multiple long sessions over the weekend and sit at 40%.
I have mostly used the headset on my PC so far, a little bit on my Playstation (Where the audio profile switching on the fly would be most useful), I need to test and see if it functions the same on the Playstation Portal or the Meta Quest 2. This headset is comfortable enough for hours, the elastic band is great when adjusted to your head, which I prefer more than the thick pad in the middle with plastic on the sides that my previous headset had. The only parts touching you is the fabric on the ear cups and the elastic up top, I will be curious to see how well it holds up over time, but I am happy with the headset at this time!

Steelseries has been killing it lately in the gaming headset space and this Nova 5 wireless model is one of the best in its category that still includes the ability to use bluetooth as well as the 2.4ghz dongle and the new companion app via your phone. In years past only the absolute top end model had the bluetooth connectivity in it so it’s really refreshing to see it trickle its way down to the cheaper yet still capable headsets that most people actually get. In the box you get a usb-c dongle (dont worry there is also a type A adapter included as well for those that dont have a C port as well as a C to A charging cable as well.
Now besides being able to use this on ANY bluetooth device it also will willingly connect with PC playstation switch android Mac tablet with usb-c meta quest 2 and various handhelds. It has a retractible mic that is inside the ear cup which has been a staple for steelseries headsets and my personal favorite. This of course has noise canceling and actually sounds decent compared to most wireless headsets out there which normally fall to the bandwidth limitations on wireless cans. You have on ear cup controls for volume, power, pairing, mode and mic mute which is very nice once you get the muscle memory down to use them.
The comfort is what really sets it apart from others as the ski goggle style suspension headband system on this thing is insane. It’s like having nothing on your head and ive loved this style design since the older Arctis lineup but it’s just done so much better here with the adjustable sides. The ear cups though cloth have memory foam and feel great over the ear.
The battery life boast is up to 60 hours of use which is just nutty. I personally used it for a full week and didnt think about charging yet just to try and push the limits and I guess the new chipset really works because it sips battery.
If your in the market for an awesome gaming headset that can double as your casual bluetooth headphones and can switch on the fly or use the app and still be a killer price for the features while maintaining comfort this is your set.

PRODUCT
STEELSERIES - ARCTIS NOVA 5 WIRELESS GAMING HEADSET FOR PC, PS5, AND PS4 - BLACK
MODEL:61670SKU:6576706
SUMMARY REVIEW
GOOD “STEP UP” HEADSET, WITH SOME MINOR DRAWBACKS
The ARCTIS NOVA 5 has a lot going for it. The comfort “floating” style headset is easy to wear for long periods of time. Fits well for a Large Head. The sound quality is good. The included accessories have everything you need right out of the box. The SteelSeries control software allows you to fine tune the sound envelope to your preferences. I appreciate being able to switch from Dongle Mode to Bluetooth Mode in order to support a wider range of devices.
Overall, this is a good step up from lower tiered headsets. Pricewise it sits at the upper middle tier. For sound quality, I think there are better options in this price range.
UNBOXING / PARTS
Like all SteelSeries products, the products are well protected with every included option. There is a cable for charging the headset (USB-A to USB-C Male), there is a cable for extending the Dongle away from the computer (USB-A to USB-C Female). The dongle itself is USB-C which is a nice change from traditional USB-A Dongles. My only tiny complaint is that the USB-C dongle is about the width of 3 ports. Depending upon how your ports are oriented and located on your laptop or desktop you might have an issue with the dongle blocking other parts.
The headphone materials are lightweight, which is good for comfort. I can’t tell how durable they will be in the long run. Overall, it has a more “budget feel” to it.
NOTE: For larger heads, pull down firmly (it takes some force) on the ear cups to extend the cups.
PC GAMING
I appreciate that the drivers auto load, but not the advanced control panel. This lets me choose what PC’s to install the control software (a good thing). I did have to manually pair the dongle and headset, it was not auto paired as indicated in the documentation.
Environment Sound leakage. I was surprised how much ambient (outside) noise leaked into the headset in quiet parts of the game. This is a personal choice, some people like to hear what else is going on around them. I find it diminishes immersive gameplay. With no sound playing from the game, it is like you are not even wearing a headset in terms of sound blocking. Again, depending upon your preferences, this is either the best for sound leakage or worst for sound leakage. I can only say of the dozen or so headsets I’ve testing in the past 3 years, this allows the more outside sound to reach your ears than just about any headset I’ve tried.
Comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I felt no fatigue even after a few hours.
I wish it had a wired 3.5mm jack option for additional device compatibility.
SOUND QUALITY / CAPABILITY
Using the SteelSeries Control App (Sonar) you can fine tune the sound field to exactly how you want experience you sound. There are even pre-defined game profiles to optimize the sound on game per game basis.
I find the sound quality just OK. It has good overall (average) sound. The sound felt a little thin / weak to me. I don’t know how to best describe it (sound is hard to describe) but compared to other headsets I’ve tested it is just not as immersive or rich.
RECOMMENDATION
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 is a solid choice for mid-range headset. It prioritizes comfort and long battery life over sound isolation and audiophile sound quality. For a good everyday gaming headset it is a good choice, especially if you already have other SteelSeries products.
