Have had Astro a40 TR with mix amp in the past, which I used for BR/FPS games. Tried to use them again but the mixamp wont update. Known issue by Astro/Logitech and they still wont fix. Researched headsets and found the steelseries artctis pro nova set. Tried the wireles which were good but a bit pricey for what I use my headset for (normally game at a desk). The game dac with this unit is amazing. Many settings that can be accessed while plugged into a console. Even more unlocked when you hook it up to a pc and use the software. Changing preset EQ’s (Apex, CoD, Pubg, etc.) on the fly while plugged into the console is fire. I find this headset to be leaps and bounds ahead of the Astro’s especially for the price. However get the best bang for your buck by waiting until they go on sale. Best decision ever to grab these. 10/10 would recommend for gaming.

Very good and comfortable headphones, mic quality is excellent my friends hear everything I say and not everything in the background, also the gamedac is very easy to use it even had a little tutorial to show you how to use it properly. Overall I highly recommend this product to any and everyone

I have been using these headphones for about 6 months and they are by far my favorite ones I’ve ever used. I’ve had Astro a40, a50, and cheap turtle beaches. These are better than all of those by far, highly recommend.

Work perfectly slight muffle when the mic sponge is in apart from that everything sails fine

Ive left a review saying I very much like my astro A40s but the main issue i took with it was the mixamp not feeling like much of a grwat add on, other than the dolby atmos function and equalizer profiles it can save, it didnt do much else for the headset from my times with it. These those, are much lighter, comfortable and have a better seal by default since they are closed back rather than the open back of the A40s. These have a worse sound stage due to close back aspect but if you prefer a better passive noise isolation, it can a worth while trade off. The mic at its default settings is quite bad but with some tweaking, matches the A40s if not exceeds them. The amp offers the same increased volume and sound control but with a much simpler use once you get around the use of the single dial control. If you want a similar experience of quality as the Astro but with a lighter, comfortable and better noise isolation, go with these

Let me start off by saying, I've gone through multiple headsets. Astro, other SteelSeries, Corsair, etc...I've had plenty. Overall, the headset is really nice. The gamedaq was a feature I was super excited about since I have both my PC and Xbox Series X. Setup was a breeze, no issues there, just plug in and go. For the sound quality, I enjoyed them, but I'd actually say I like my SteelSeries Arctis Pros better than these Novas. A few things I noticed with this headset: -It unfortunately had an echo. I tried so many things on my PC to alleviate this but my friends could still hear themselves talking. Other threads online I found that more people had this same issue -Mic started dying after less than a month. I used these for both gaming and work and just 2 days ago I started getting people saying I was cutting out on phone calls while working. I had also noticed in party chats the mic would randomly stop being picked up as well. Super unfortunate as I absolutely love SteelSeries headsets. This was the third one I've owned from this brand and they are the comfiest headsets ever(coming from someone who wears glasses). I decided to return these and go with the Astro A40 TRs as those also include a mixamp option. I may or may not have just gotten a lemon headset, but I hope this helps someone decide on their purchase!

Sound quality is great and this is easily the most comfortable lightweight headset I’ve ever worn. However, the microphone quality is absolutely terrible for a headset that’s this expensive. According to my friends I sounded much clearer with my 7 plus year old turtle beach headset I replaced. The gamedac is cool, but not very useful unless you’re playing on a PC where you can actually manipulate settings with the Steele software. Also, since there’s not much info on it, you CANNOT save settings on the gamedac from the PC to use on Xbox. You get what you get if you’re using it on Xbox. I would not buy again to use on Xbox, but if you’re on PC these could be incredible.

Love this SteelSeries headset! They make the best gaming headsets ever. Upgraded from the 9X to the Nova Pro—best choice ever. So comfy and light. The audio is amazing, it's like you're actually in the game. I totally recommend it.

And This is one of the Best. I upgraded from an Arctis 9X And this thing does even better between my Xbox Xbox and my PC. It even has a preset of equalizers for a lot of the big games to enhance your gaming audio experience. The only thing that I would knock this thing for is common with all the steel series I’ve had and that is it’s ear padding is not as thick as I need it to be. But luckily, you can get thicker ones on Amazon and even customize it to look even better.

Buy the Xbox version even if you don't have one now. Should you ever sell it that compatibility is value added. Wish it had chat mix on ps5 like it does on Xbox but that's Sony blocking that feature. No optical input but optical is inferior to USB unless signal interference is an issue in your set up. Coming from a pc38x/ Astro mix amp user it's an upgrade not by a mile but by a significant amount for sure clarity wise and what not and the headphones that come with them are not trash like the like the mix amp ones the faux leather earpads are sweaty though

Great sound and feel. Love the base inside heaphone. Runs a little hot but nothing crazy.

Sounds great and now I dont need 2 headsets. You are able to plug it into your xbox and PC at the same time and easily switch between which audio you want to hear. 10/10

Best gaming headphones ive used on pc, they have tuning features and come with great UI, they are easily the best ive owned, my only gripe is the foam pieces wear over time but can be replaced easily.

Had a steelseries aticus pro previously and after a couple years needed to replace. These sound incredible and are comfortable.

Sound quality on these steels is fabulous. I have had them for about a year now with a child getting their hands on them every now and then, they are still holding up like I just bought them.
