Let me begin by saying that this headset has an exceptional build quality; it's much better than most other gaming headsets offered today and that alone is a big plus for me personally as I like having confidence that a product will last a while. The headband as stated within the product's description is made of steel which gives it a really premium feel and ensures you that it won't break easily as opposed to the plastic bands most other headsets use. Another thing I really like about the headset is its discrete look, aside from the RGB lights that the headset has, it doesn't shout "gaming headset" which I personally am a very big fan of. Both the RGB lights and sound equalizer is customizable via the SteelSeries Engine software which allows you to adjust the headset to your liking. As for comfortability with this headset goes, it is a very comfortable headset. Instead of using the traditional adjustable headband this headset uses a strap that stretches and accomodates to your head which will allow for a very comfortable but snug fit, and if the strap you feel is too tight on your head, you can slightly adjust it by detaching the strap from the velcro on the left-hand side of headband. Last but not least, sound quality. Out of all the gaming headsets that I've owned, this one is without a doubt the best in terms of sound quality. It's so good that if you didn't know this was a gaming headset, you'd think it's a pair of headphones targeted towards audiophiles. One other point to make is that this headset supports DTS Headphone:X 2.0 which allows the headset to simulate surround sound which is very useful in games where sound is key, such as FPS games. The headset also comes included with a volume controller that allows you to adjust between game audio and chat audio on the fly which is very useful when you want to prioritize the audio of one over the other. In summary, if you're looking for a headset that has great build quality, great sound, comfortable and isn't a tacky looking gaming headset if you will, the SteelSeries Arctis Pro is a solid choice.

I bought a HyperX Cloud about 6 months ago because everyone said it was the best. When I first tried it out I was really disappointed in the sound quality. I record/edit/mix audio for a living, so I have pretty discerning ears, and the HyperX just didn't live up to all the hype. I figured maybe that's just the way gaming headsets are. But then I heard about the Arctis Pro, and SteelSeries was hyping their high fidelity sound. I was skeptical after my experience with the HyperX but figured I would give it a shot. I was not disappointed. The sound quality in these cans is right up there with my studio AKGs, just unbelievable. I'm hearing all my games in a whole new way. If you are a gamer who cares about hearing the details and not just boomy explosions this is the headset for you! On top of the sound, they're super comfortable. They're on the heavy side when you pick them up, but you don't feel it once they're on your head because of the elastic band they use. The ear cushions are thick and have a nice soft fabric. Overall the build quality feels excellent. The RGB really isn't my thing, but when I set it to a dark blue I have to admit that it looks pretty cool :-)

I consider myself an audiophile. I am into high-res music, and compressed music such as .mp3s makes me die inside. I am all about clarity, soundstage, and quality when it comes to my headphones. So when I saw these things it looked like a match made in heaven! Good frequency response, including sub-bass, good impenitence, everything. So I got home, hooked them up, and I was hit with a wall of HORRID quality. I mean like, my old LOW END $50 Logitech headset sounded miles better. All the music on the Artic Pro's sounded super compressed, like 240p YouTube video compressed. To top it all off, when I turned on side-tone I get an annoying BUZZ (trust me, its not my set up. Ive used many other headsets and only these ones have done it) I triple checked my settings, made sure all appropriate software was installed, checked my source files (24 bit flac, 96khz) everything, and I realized the issue is these headphones. These headphones talk a big game, and SS did an amazing job with the marketing, packaging and build quality, but that's about where the good ends. Avoid these if you care about sound quality. You are genuinely off getting a budget headset.

WOW Sound, Interferes With Some Programs

Pro: The headset has absolutely superb, beautiful sound via USB connection. Sound tracking duing RPG/Action gameplay is accurate. Soft foam edging on cups are comfortable. Microphone picks up voice clearly, but does not pick up background or room noise. Excellent! Lighting around ear pieces gives sharp appearance. Con: In Win7, the headset, with or without the SteelSeries Engine software, blocks the screensaver/power management system from working. I use CyberLink PowerDirector 14 for video editing, sometimes with voiceover. This headset prevents the program from loading. CTD during splash screen. Same with new PowerDirector 16. Without the headset, the program loads fine. When you plug the headset AFTER the program is started, you get CTD. Other programs, such as browsers, Steam, Corel PaintShop Pro, Nexus Mod Mgr, games, appear unaffected. Headband fits, but could be longer for better fit. Ear cups could be larger. The "over-the-ear" cups are over the ear tops, but rest on top of the ear lobes. Bottom Line: Incredible sound and looks. Great for gaming and smaller ears. Headset may interfere with your OS and some programs. Recommend?: With caution. Depends on your usage.

    Unbelievable sound !!!!

I was very hesitant about spending so much on a PC gaming headset but I got a BB gift card for Father's Day and after a lot of online research and reading all of the reviews I could find, I decided to go for it. I am glad I did. This headset is worth every penny. You have to install the SteelSeries Engine software to fully utilize these for gaming. The simulated surround sound is just phenomenal. They are also awesome for music. I don't consider myself an "audiophile" but these things just sound GOOD. Not only is the sound unbelievable they are also the most comfortable headset I have ever worn. The ski goggle strap makes it feel like you aren't wearing a headset at all. If you can afford these but are on the fence I suggest you give them a try.

Looks great, comfortable, but not working for me

I ordered these because I spend a lot of time on Skype and Google Hangouts and I wanted something that could work as a business headset but cover my ears and block out other sound. These are the second pair I bought to try and, according to my research, I thought they would work. They are really comfortable and fit my head well. I like the adjustable band. They have sidetone/mic monitoring for when I feel I need that but I need to open Garageband or the Steelseries App with "preview" on. Fine. What I can't quite stand and is seriously getting in the way of my work is that they spontaneously disconnect and sometime will reconnect right after and sometimes need to be plugged back in to the computer. There is also a ton of popping and cracking in the sound. I did several tests and it seems the microphone is no better than the one in my computer. Unfortunately, I think I will have to return them.

My old headphones died after a decade+ of gaming, and were in need of a replacement. These were the first pair I tried, and I absolutely LOVED the sound profile! My issue, which was the reason for my return, was the headband wasn't large enough for my head. They don't adjust like a typical headset, and it's to the detriment of the product, b/c I'd still own them if they would've fit properly. I tried them on in store, and didn't think there would be a problem, but after about 20 mins of gaming, I realized they wouldn't work out. I still can't dock the product in my rating, b/c they sounded amazing... and if SteelSeries ever makes a proper headband for their big-headed demographic, I'll gladly go pick them up.

Steelseries makes a great headset and these are no exception. They are tuned really good and are able to pick out footsteps and directional audio. The comfort is great, the pads make them feel great, and there is ventilationin them where your ears don't get sweaty. Once the presets and the eq’s are configured the heaphones sound amazing for gaming and music over bluetooth. Combined with precision surround sound makes this one of the best wireless gaming headset available. They are light, providing great sound and outside noise isolation, I cannot recommend them enough and are a great price for the audio quality they provide.

These headphones were the keepers after trying multiple pairs and returning them because of various reasons. Excellent sound quality, great design. These are so comfortable. The one problem that I have with them is the lack of instructions and Software. Nothing in the box even hinted at needing software. However after using them for 10 minutes I could tell something was wrong. Did some searching on Google and found the Steelseries Engine software. After downloading that and figuring out how to use the software to get the sound I was looking for everything was great.

Needed a new headset for gaming. Tried a couple of wireless and was totally unimpressed. To be honest the reason I bought this set was because the trial set in the store looked good, felt good, and sounded OK with their sound demo. When I got them home and hooked them up I found out that the store sound demo did not do them justice. These things sound great. Directional detail easy to pick out. Very comfortable to wear and the ear pieces lay flat if you shift them down to your neck for a break.

If you want a worthwhile headset, just know you'll spend at least $150. That being said, SteelSeries continues their A+ rating from me personally with the Arctis Pro headset. I really wish Best Buy carried their Arctis Pro Wireless with Game DAC, but this is the best I could find, at least at my store. Best headset I've used in a long time. Superior comfort and sound, even during extended gaming. Could not recommend this brand enough for all of their products.

Headset sounds good. Constructed very nice and works with PC, playstation, and XBox. Problem is they are made small and do not adjust like some of the other headsets. The strap hurts the top of my head and the ear pieces barely cover the bottom of my ear and this is with it fully adjusted. My head is not huge and I should not have any problems with them fitting nicely. Unfortunately that is not the case. Stick with the other brands that have more adjustments, unless you have a small head.

The comfort level matched with the top quality sound is enough to give these a 5 star review, top that with the ease of control, user settings, color customization, solid metal frame and to boot they work with Xbox no problem. The sound is outstanding as I use them for music and also movies. The multiple profiles you can set up for different games, music or movies is fantastic. Worth every penny.

These headphones are the absolute worst. I bought these for my son and within a month they broke. No sound from the headphones after a month. Returned and bought a 2nd pair. Guess what happened after a month and a half? No sound from the left speaker. These are garbage and the support is awful as well. Will never buy Steelseries anything again. Absolute garbage.

Ive been a long time fan of these headphones, even when they were called SteelSeries back in the day. I've tried other brands but these are by far the most comfortable non head ache inducing headphones you can buy and the audio quality is superb! I recommend this headset to everyone and they always love them and say they are the best they have ever had.

This set is so crisp with the audio. RGBs are a little played out so I dont mess with them but perfect audio quality. Can hear sounds Ive never heard in songs Ive listened to for a long time. Gaming on them is amazing in 7.1. Super comfy, adjustable and lots of settings to play with in windows.

This is a great headset for you audiophiles, but the mic quality and sound aren't so great. Playing competitive games with it people often ask me to turn up my mic when I already have it maxed out. The software is fine, just make sure you install it if you're having any audio issues as Steelseries will release the latest drivers on there.

I bought this headset to replace my failing Razor man o war headset set. The arctis pro are super comfortable and easily adjustable (I wear glasses so that's a must), sound quality blows the man o war away, the arctis pro software is an absolute breeze to use and if far more in depth than the razor software.

I've had these headphones for a couple months now, and i'm really enjoying them. These baby's muffle exterior sound well(the thick cushions better), and fit well. Also the sound quality and range is great, along with the RGB of course. You'll have to download SteelSeries engine to customize both of them though.

Great sound, easy to setup. Lost audio in right ear after 2 weeks. No changes to my computer. Set them down, came back 30 minutes later, no sound in right ear. Switched USB ports, restarted computer, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Nothing worked. Returned to Best Buy and got Arctis 7 wireless instead.
