Amazing headphones. I tried quite a few different headsets before getting this one, including the Arctis Pro Wired. These ones are a bit more expensive, but I think it's well worth it. I like that the battery is replaceable, and you can charge one in the like hub thing for it while using it. That way if your battery ever fully dies you're not out a headset. The bluetooth is really handy too. Can have my phone hooked up to it and receive calls or notifications or what not while gaming. Audio quality is amazing. I'm no audiophile or whatever, but I think most gaming headsets sound like crap, even a lot of the higher end ones, like Astro A50's and the Hyper X ones. This headset is pretty much the best sounding headset I've ever heard. Most expensive too, though. I have a pretty large head, and the headband isn't really adjustable. It has like the inner headband, but it ends up being fairly tight on my head. It's really not too bad though, they're still super comfortable, but if my head was any bigger they probably wouldn't fit well. These headphones do feel very sturdy though. One problem I've always had with gaming headphones is they have some weak point that eventually breaks. Perfectly good pair of headphones destroyed because of a minor accident or just moderate wear and tear. But these seem really durable. Only weak point appears to be where the speakers connect to the like frame, but seems pretty solid. I have PC, Xbox One X, and PS4 Pro, and there are a couple things I would like to point out for each. With Xbox One you don't really have chat. They tell you to go through an app on your phone, but that only works for party chat. For in game chat, I don't think there are any options, unless you wanted to wire it, but then the sound quality wouldn't be as good (due to DAC on Xbox controller not being as good) and you would be wired, albeit to the controller. Hooking it up over optical sounds amazing though. I don't chat much, so works for me. Optical has same sound quality as PS4, so what I wrote below about PS4 applies to Xbox too. On PC, one thing I really like is the wired option, actually. If you have a good sound card, I have I think it's a Creative Sound Blaster Omni, they sound really good wired, I think the same as Arctis Pro wired. If you hook them up over USB, I thought the sound quality wasn't great. Sounds much better hooking it up over optical if you want to go wireless. If you do this, just set it to PS4 mode, and all of the same benefits of consoles apply here (read PS4 below). One thing I thought is with the Arctis Pro wired, you really don't need the GameDAC if you're gaming on PC if you have a decent sound card. The surround sound effect on it really wasn't that great, I think it's DTS Headphone X (PC has some better options, I think the one on the Omni is the best, but there are a lot of options), and the audio quality is going to be just as good. A good sound card can do the 24 bit 96khz they advertise on the GameDAC (although not with the surround sound effect on either). On PS4, I think this is where these headphones really shine. I'm pretty sure these are using a different surround sound effect than the Arctis Pro Wired. I think Wired is using DTS headphone X, which I think sounds terrible. And the Wireless I think is using some sort of Dolby Digital surround effect, although I couldn't find anywhere that explicitly stated this. Either way, I thought the Wireless had a much better surround sound effect. Some people don't think highly of it, but I think it's really impressive when done right in games like Fortnite and Battlefield 1. Battlefield V has it's own 3D headphone, which I think is much easier to tell in which position people are, but sound quality isn't as great as the Wireless' built in (you have to turn the surround off on the Wireless hub thing to get the in game 3D headphone to work). It's a really impressive 3D effect thought. But chat and everything works flawlessly on PS4. Just hook it up to USB and Optical (One thing to note! PS4 slim does not have optical, so probably doesn't sound very good). One weird thing is I play Smite a lot, and audio quality on PS4 wasn't as great, and PS4 didn't have any surround sound effect for Smite but Xbox did. Every other game I think is pretty similar. Really expensive headset though, but I think you get what you pay for. They really put a lot of thought into designing these, and they have a lot of different uses you can get out of them.

This review is for the Arctis Pro Wireless. The reason I gave this a full 5 stars is simply because the flaws it does have are minimal to me and don't hurt the overall value. -Sound/Volume: It's superb. You can adjust/create your own EQ via the base station so you should find something you like. Max volume is good but you have to remove the volume cap via the base station. I do wish that the volume increments were smaller so that you could find that perfect volume and the same goes for the game/chat balance. The increments are quite large and if you're in a party chat you'll find yourself having to mix more towards chat otherwise game sound is too loud. -Comfort: It's great but beware. Those with large ears or ears that stick out may find them not so comfortable. I have average size ears (at least I think so) and don't stick out too much and yet I seem to fill ear cup as there have been times where I can feel my ear barely touching the speaker drivers inside. It was noticeable at first but after a few uses I don't feel it anymore. Other than that the headband strap is comfortable and distributes the weight quite well. -Microphone/Sidetone: This one is tricky as every console processes the mic differently but for me on PS4 it's been good. Actually the best sounding mic on any headset I've used. I've used other SteelSeries, ASTRO, Lucidsound, Tritton and while those are good, the mic on this Arctis Pro Wireless is much better. Very clear. One thing to note, and I'm not sure if this is an issue with my headset or not but when the battery is low and the beeps come about to notify me the microphone level goes down. To the point where it's of no use cause nobody can hear me. The moment I switch to a new fully charged battery the microphone works normal again. A bit annoying when you're in a match and communication is crucial but not a deal breaker. The sidetone could be a bit louder but it's good and it works well. -Battery/range: Hands down the best in the market. SteelSeries battery solution is perfect. Your headset is and will always be wireless. No cables for charging. You get two Lithium ION batteries, one which you'll be using and the other is neatly tucked away inside the base station charging waiting for when needed. Swapping batteries takes seconds and each battery (comes with two batteries) lasts about 15 hours. Range is also great. I have a 1300 square foot home with a front patio and driveway. I can walk out to the street before I loose signal. Not that anyone would but you get the idea. **Note: everything can be adjusted/changed/ moved/ selected from the headset itself.

    Great Sound, Annoying Issues

Where to start.... When it comes to the headphones themselves. Amazing, Lightweight, great design. Sound Quality is amazing and having the Amp is awesome, Being able to accept a call mid game without having to take my headphones off, Instantly mutes the game and what ever chat program you happen to be in.. example discord or teamspeak if you still use it lol. Having the ability to Charge one Battery while using the other is awesome as well... i mean i love these head phones... But how can you only give them 3 stars you say... after all these great things, what could be the issue... Well to start i have a big head, and decent sized ears.. That being said my last headphones were Logitech 933... Really enjoyed them, the Cups on earphones went over my ears, as these are a bit smaller so they rest on my ears which in turn my ears hurt after awhile.... not something everyone is going to have an issue with but for me its a big deal... BUT THE MAIN ISSUE IM HAVING.... this is why i rate these headphones a 3... and thats Customer Service based on an issue with the AMP that has been brought to the attention of Steel Series 1000s of times and yet still no fix or answer... The Amp through USB gives some sort of interference to your Computer and will not allow your computer to go into sleep / hibernate mode without choosing so manually, so for someone like me who has children or gets up constantly from the computer... who relies on the Sleep function rather than turning my pc off every time i get up... This becomes an issue... It will not allow my monitors or computer to go into sleep mode.... There are minor hot fix for this based on user experience but most say eventually the problem comes back... so its not a "FIX" is it... Very annoying issue to have... Me personally i have 3 monitors and when i wake up in the middle of the night because of how bright my room is because my headphones wont allow my computer to go into sleep mode.... Thats an issue.... Seeing the headphones are 329 dollars and the warranty is another 69. Thats alot of money for such a stupid issue that Steel Series is refusing to fix... I will be returning these and going back to my 9333 which is very sad because honestly i did like having the amp, and the bluetooth, and 2 batteries, and the sound quality was amazing but for my ears to hurt and forcing me to turn my computer off rather than allowing my pc to go into sleep mode on its own is worth the Return

    Terrible Quality

I don’t usually write reviews but these headphones have got me upset. At first I absolutely loved them they were super comfy and the features like the pull out mic and extra charging battery were amazing ideas. But what I hate about these headphones is the quality and pain it is to get them to work right. You have to tweak them a lot to get the right kinda sound quality and also turn off the volume control. But that’s whatever I like messing around with my gadgets anywho. My biggest problem is the quality with the mic and “steel and aluminum “ construction. My set snapped right where the earpiece connects to the headband. Well that piece is plastic, which I can understand there are plastic pieces all over but that is literally the most delicate place on the headset and is made of plastic! I mean I’m pretty clumbsy and sat on mine but they snapped like a twig. Which is just bs due to their 330 price tag I would expect these to take a little abuse! I mean this isn’t the first set I’ve ever sat on. And certainly the first to break as easily I’ve had turtle beaches that were a third of the price and last way longer made of all plastic! And lastly the biggest reason for me even writing this review is the mic quality! Terrible terrible quality! It picks up every type of background noise around!! My buddies can’t hear me but they hear like everything I’m doing it is the weirdest thing. I went into my options under mic level so I could hear my self and it’s bad I can hear any slight movement I make with my head, I can hear my fan buzzing, my PlayStation running. Like literally everything. It’s so sensitive to frequencies that when I stood up in my room I could hear it pick up the electricity in my lightbulbs. But my buddies have a hard time hearing me. It’s the dumbest thing. Anyways if you read all of that DO NOT BUY! Waste of money it certainly was of mine.

Compare to Astro a50 gen 3

I’m comparing these vs the Astro a50 headset as that is all I have used for quite some time. The Arctis win overall as far as features. The replaceable batteries are something Astro could learn from as most of the time the Astro are great at first but after about a year the battery degrades. It’s nice that the SteelSeries comes with two batteries so there is never cords attached. Love that the SteelSeries have Bluetooth also! You can use them just as head phones around the house and some travel. Sound is pretty out standing but really close to the Astro a50. The arctis are a little brighter and has a little better direction in the sound. The chat talk on the ps4 with the arctis I do have a little problem with. The game sound will be a little to loud at times and I can’t hear my friends in the party chat it just over powers it. If you adjust on the base station you lose directional sound. They could possibly fix with a firmware update. Bass is good and the highs are excellent. I would say the arctis win in sound along with being able to adjust without connecting to a pc is a win. Comfort goes to Astro hands down. Don’t get me wrong the SteelSeries are nice and I don’t have a problem for the time that I play around 4-6 hrs at times. Overall I think you can’t go wrong with either one, but I have been a 4 year Astro user and have switched to the SteelSeries arctis pro wireless. The features and replaceable batteries along with using them just as Bluetooth headphones just out ways the minor comfort issues.

It's a test of your reasonability to spend this much on a gaming headset but my philosophy goes like this: There are 3 tools you can use to do a job... A tool to get the job done, the right tool for the job and the BEST right tool for the job. The SteelSeries Acrtis Pro series are the BEST right tool for the job. The pain of cost disappears with the recognition of the quality you purchased. This is an AMAZING headset! I've had Astro A40s, Logitech, Corsair, Alienware, Turtle Beach and the Arctis Wireless Pro are far and away better than any of those! I could go on and on but compare them against any of the others in any way you can think (other than price) and the SteelSeries come out on top. *Volume output is spectacular! *Audio clarity is exceptional. *Mic clarity and sidetone are next to perfect *Very comfortable (a dead tie with the Astro A40 for me) *Great wireless range-better than any I've ever tried *Highest audio output of any wireless headset I've ever tried and holding its own against wired amplified versions such as the A40 *Great looks *Swappable batteries with one always charged so you're never without your headset *Base station LED output so you can SEE the settings you're choosing *Dual wireless connectivity (2.4 and Bluetooth) *Lightweight for wireless headphones *Hi-Res drivers that you can take advantage of if you plug into a wired output with a 3.5mm cable.

    Ultimate Immersion Headset

This headset is perfect for getting immersed in the game. The mic sounds clear - no tinny sound, from what I have been told. The best part is the ability to tune the equalizer to your liking. I increased the bass and treble profile because it ampmifies the gunshots and explosions. Some people claimed the surround sound took away from the sound of the headset, but as a shooter-only player, I find that the surround sound is absolutely necessary. I can track footsteps as if I’m in the game, and that helps me win gun fights. Additionally the headset can be connected to your phone at the same time it’s connected to your playstation. If I’m not playing with a group, I will usually balance my music with the in-game audio. I also take calls in my headset without having to move to pick up my phone. The only thing about this headset is the ski goggle band seems to force the headset upward causing my earlobes to get pushed up against the bottom of the ear cups. My ears are pierced so this, is very uncomfortable. I’m looking to see if there is possibly a bigger band I can buy. Other than that, worth every penny.

I bought this wireless headset to replace my ps4 gold headset. It is amazing! I read a lot of reviews on it and some people said they were not impressed with the volume on the headset and that it was to quiet. This is kind of true if you are using the mic and chatting with people online. But if you play a lot of games by yourself like I do there is a way to make this headset double its volume ability. Just simply unplug the cable used for the microphone off the back of the wireless box. If your not going to chat there is no reason to plug it in. The difference is astounding. I barely break 50% on the volume bar now and when I remove my headset my wife can hear it from 10 feet away. I have used this headset for chatting as well and in a way I like that they even out the chat and volume. I can always hear by buddies online and you don't have to try and talk over the in game sound. So if you game a lot by yourself and use a headset for your main source of sound these are amazing! I also like the little added feature that you can connect it to a blue tooth device and use them as a regular headset. Verycool! I hope this review helps a lot of people who want more sound and that jam by themselves!

I have been searching for a good surround experience for my console gaming for years and have finally found it. In the past 2 years I have owned Turtle Beach Elite Pro & TAC, Astro A50's, HyperX Revolver S and Razer Thresher none of them hitting all marks like the SS Arctis Pro Wireless. I picked up a set of Arctis Pro for my PS 4 Pro and found they will work with my Xbox X using a work around for the chat so I picked up a second set. Once you have them setup properly there amazing bar none the best sense of surround I have ever experienced in a headphone. You must setup the transmitter base properly to reach the full potential of these headphones make sure Surround is turned on on the proper preset or custom equalization depending on what your playing or listening to. There is also an override setting for maximum volume plus a whole lot more. Great Sound, Best sense of surround sound I have heard, Comfortable for hours on end. 2 batteries so no need to be wired while charging. Build quality is great even my wife who could care less noticed. Lastly you can control the transmitter settings from the headset so you don't have to get up from your gaming chair to have access. These are expensive headphones but are worth it to me.

    Audiophile or not

I think people just like to find ANY little thing to critique on. I have over 6 headsets and these are by far my favorite. Whether you're streaming, playing with friends, watching a movie, etc. These are AMAZING. The pitch, tones, transitions, all the ranges, are as high quality you can get on a wireless PC headset. Yes, the band is slightly tight, just remove it if it bothers you, I did. Yes, there's a white noise, but all headsets have some white noise to some degree depending on what source you're plugging it in, etc. It's barely noticeable on my PC until I read someone complain about it. Yes, it doesn't have RGB but I don't mind saving the money for it to go else where. Yes there's a difference with the wired for true HiDef, but if you are going for HD Audio you shouldn't be going wireless anyway. Which I'm sure was the manufacturer's intention anyway. All the normal criticism's aside, what you DO need to do out of the box is download a EQ software. I used the one from Corsair and it was fine already, but you can get fancy and use a third party. Once you fine tune it, you'll find the ranges your ears are missing, which are subjective to some degree, and you'll be happy with your purchase. I'm planning to get a second one as soon as it goes in stock.

Sits comfortably on big melon. The headset is a "c" clamp design so no adjusting the spacing. They were a bit tight at first (comfortable on top however by virtue of the ski mask strap top system allowing them to 'float'). I eased the clamping pressure by forcing them to stretch wide across my PC case. This exaggerated stretch loosened the tightness. Voice is clear according to the people I talk to on Discord. Sound is impeccable. The dual battery system is great and means you'll never run out of power. The battery life is always displayed on the main controller so when it's low you'll be able to swap it out before hitting zero at the wrong time. Even if it dies, it's a pretty quick swap. The controller is intuitive and I appreciate being able to easily adjust the mix of game vs chat volume. Overall this is an outstanding product. I had to return my first set because the headset went dead but Best Buy changed no problem. I realize they are expensive. I would put this down as paying Porsche prices for a Porsche. There may be cheaper headsets that represent better value, but the quality of sound and materials is high end. I use them a lot so paying a bit more and getting the best is worth it to me. I'm extremely pleased and highly recommend them.

First I tried the Corsair RGB Void Wireless..... that one was pretty but the sound was horrendous! I mainly bought it for the RGB but the sound was not RGB quality so I returned it. Then I exchanged it for the Arctis 7 wireless. I've read reviews that the Arctis 7 and Arctis Pro Wireless were the same quality in terms of sound but I felt that it was still lacking. Next step up was to get the Arctis Pro Wired w/ GameDAC but I didn't want to be tethered by a cord. After speaking with a friend that had the previous version of this Arctis Pro Wireless, I've decided to go ahead and try this one..... Whelp A lot of reviews has stated that the Arctis 7 and Wireless Pro produces the same sound but it wasn't the case. After trying it out and comparing the Arctis 7 and Arctis Pro Wireless..... GO WITH THE Arctis Pro Wireless! The bass has more umph into it, the mids and highs are just perfect and you can tweak it with the EQ! If you do not want to be connected with a cord, and want quality sound on wireless, go with this one! A++!

This headset is by far the best one I have ever had and is a major improvement and upgrade from my previous Steelseries.I love how the headset has bluetooth and can connect to my phone when I’m going on long drives. The battery life I amazing as promised and they recharge super fast. The headset comes with many cables for the unit that connects to the PlayStation and also comes with an optic cable that connects to the television. Now to the most important part the sound I would give it a 10 out of 10.The microphone I would give a 8 out of 10 because it is a little quiet when talking to people but even though it is quiet the sound that other people hear is extremely clear.it has good volume control and I like the feature where the microphone extends for easy carrying. But also like how the tip of the microphone lights up red when it is muted.Overall I would give this product a 10 out of 10 because even though the microphone is quiet sound quality produced and received makes up for it and is worth the big price tag.

I had given up on wireless headsets after my experience with astro A50s and Corsair's high end models both had issues with cutting out, charging connections or comfort. These do NOT compare to them on the least. They are well built, easily wearable for many hours, battery life is not ever an issue with one always charged in the base, no cords needed ever, or sloppy charging stations (sorry again a50s). The sound (optical) is amazing, the control is great for managing eq, chat mix, volume, and the dial on the heatset serves the same function and the base station, but you have the benefit of a clear display on the base as you scroll menus. The mic is perfectly located and is retractable with a nice red light on top that tells you when your mic mutes, so no more one ended conversations. I've tried many sets. This is the best no doubt, and not just by a little.

This has to be one of the best headsets for gaming out right now! After doing tons of research I narrowed down my pick to this headset and it was a huge investment. The comfort was exceptional and as cheap as the design may look; all of the materials and quality of the build were high grade! The sound quality is great to where you can almost pinpoint exact direction based on sound while playing FPS games. Also the fact that you can pair to bluetooth and the receiver at the same time allows you to take phone calls or listen to music on your phone. The overall sound quality is great and immersive even for music with an easy to use app for PC. You can even use them with xbox as long as you plug them directly into the controller it even gives you mic and surround sound. Overall great headset and worth every penny!

Let me start by saying I am not an audiophile. I am just an average gamer. I was looking to get a headset that allowed me to experience games like never before through sound. I play on PS4 and tried both current official playstation headsets and was not exactly blown away by those. Their sound quality is great but I wanted to really feel immersed. I finally decided to give these a shot and boy are they amazing. I really was amazed by the surround sound these headset provide. I don’t play for competition I play to feel like I am there and these do just that. Other surround sound headsets that I tried were the Razer Thresher and The playstation platinum. Those were good but not as good as the Arctis. The sound is super clear and well balanced. I know they are a bit pricey but you do get outstanding sound quality.

After going through wireless headset after wireless headset: both of the official Sony headsets, Arctis 7, and HyperX Cloud Flight, I finally decided to pay up and get the Arctis Pro Wireless. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. It’s more that I’d like to spend, but I guess you have to pay for quality. I needed the headset I was looking for to be wireless, have separate chat and game volume control, comfort, and have good wireless range. This headset does it all and also has the ability to play Bluetooth from your phone while your gaming. I love that feature! It also has nice equalizer controls. I’m convinced that this is best headset for the PS4 and it works for PC too! The only con with this headset is that it’s pricey. Also, don’t forget to update the headset firmware before you start using it.

The headset is legit up until a point. The two batteries is clutch. Also connecting to Bluetooth to your phone while gaming with it at the same time was great! However the sound quality I would say wasn’t the greatest and to upgrade the firmware and have it actually go through is not optimal. For paying that price I believe it should be more of a plug and play. The design was cool but hurt my ears after longer sessions. I returned them and got the wired version plus gamedac also not bad but a month in having speaker issues hearing crackling so I’m returning those to. Not sure what’s going on with them the design and idea of them were great however they don’t live up to the hype in my opinion .

I had high hopes for this headset and wish to try them out again in a few months when they are updated and hopefully fixed. I ended up having to take them back because of bluetooth and white noise issues. The white noise is an iffy one for some people. If you have sensitive ears I would recommend staying away from this headset for now... No matter what volume the headset was at, that was all I could hear and it drove me crazy. The bluetooth issues stemmed from the headset having what is called volume ducking (afaik) Where the volume would decrease to 0 and then increase back to where I had it after hearing a sound come from my phone via bluetooth. No matter what I did this would happen at the start of audio playing. Overall this headset was pretty good. Just not worth the money at this time... Again I hope to try them out again when the issues are fixed, but for now I will avoid Arctis and stick with my Astros...

So after trying many headsets for ps4 in the $150 range (hyper x cloud flight, Plantronics rig 800, Astro a20's) I decided to upgrade to the arctis wireless pro. Upgrade I did for sure. This headset completely blows the others out of the water. The sound is Crystal clear. The directional cues are extremely accurate with the surround sound effect turned on. The bass is booming, the mids and highs are excellent. I couldn't be more satisfied. The 2 interchangeable batteries are awesome. I never need to plug anything in, in order to have a full battery. The mic is good. The range is excellent even through walls. The Bluetooth connectivity is a huge plus also. High quality and comfortable materials. I cannot see how any "gaming" headset could be any better. This is top of the line for sure.

I would recommend this to a friend
