Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the satisfactory sound quality and the pretty long battery life of the Arctis Pro Wireless headset. Many also find the headset very comfortable for extended use and appreciate its great wireless connectivity for gaming. However, some customers have noted that the fit can be a little tight, especially when wearing glasses.

We love it, great sound quality and barteries help solve the issue of forgetting to charge it after each use.

These headphones are comfortable. I feel these would be good gamer headsets but not so much for listening to music. Also the battery life isn't as long. As for the person who only found one battery, the other battery is inside the headphones themselves. I'm on the fence due to the battery life out of the box.

Sound, mute button and "app" - much to be desired

I have used SteelSeries headsets for over a decade. When I started getting them, they were the best headphones for the price - hands down. As time has gone on, the quality of them did NOT improve. The sound quality and the features on the headphones has stayed EXACTLY like they were a decade ago. The application does nothing but cause issues. It either selects the wrong input/output, does not connect, needs to be restarted or needs to be uninstalled/reinstalled with a lot of digging around and finding application related files to delete to prevent persistent issues from reoccurring. The app should just work, without issue, all the time. SteelSeries seems to think their app should do EVERYTHING. How many apps do you need to capture "moments" while playing games? Not only does Windows already have this feature, so does every graphics card that has been released in the last decade. Why would I want my headphones to do it? It just makes their app be more unreliable for doing what it is supposed to be doing - playing audio. (This goes for all SteelSeries headsets - I think I have one of each at this point). Arctis Pro specific - The audio quality is no better than the Arctis 7's in any way. I have done a comparison between the 5's, 7's and 9 both the 9 Pro and Nova Pro, and the audio quality is not noticeable - and to top it off, the 5's are the most comfortable. As far as the microphone - it has been awful on every version from the 5 through the 9 Nova Pro. I do not think they have made any improvements in the microphone in the last decade. The microphone will either: 1) not work because there are cabling issues within the headset because you can pull it in and out of the headset. 2) The mute button quickly (and I mean within months) starts making a static noise that everyone you are talking with can hear each time you press it or 3) The mute button just stops working so even when you press it, people can still hear you. Back in 2015, I would give these all of the SteelSeries headphones a 5* review. In 2025, I would not recommend you spend your hard-earned money on them. It really is sad, since I have purchased multiples of these for each member in my family (5 family members, at least 2 versions each) as well as gifts for several friends. Everyone enjoys them for a month or two until they realize the app is complete trash and then a couple months later, they start having issues with their mute buttons. Oh - and I almost forgot to mention the issue where when you walk out of range on them the headphones "EXPLODE" - meaning they make the loudest popping noise you have ever heard. So, say while you are gaming you want to get up and grab a drink. If you get out of range, the wireless does not just disconnect, it makes a 140+DB gabled pop that sounds like an explosion into your ears causing an extreme amount of ear drum pain. I have contacted SteelSeries support about this, and their only recommendation is to uninstall the trash app and reinstall it. It's clearly not an app issue. Oh, and on the "Pro" (both "Pro" and "Nova Pro" versions) the wireless base stations will randomly reboot. Its like they power off, headphones disconnect and then the base station will power back on and if you are lucky everything will be working after about 5-10 seconds of a complete audio outage. This can happen in the middle of a game or while you are watching YouTube or god forbid on a call with your boss. If you are unlucky, it will have selected your audio backups sources, and you will be stuck troubleshooting why your microphone and or headphones are not working. The backup sources are also a huge gimmick. Do they work? Only if you are lucky. The most reliable way to get external speakers to work is to have them plugged into the base station as a line out. If you try any other method, the settings to not persist - at least for long.

Sonar app was a little confusing at first but the control box is very easy to navigate and headphones had decent audio for the price, not the perfect music heads go to choice but good for gaming and production

Great mouse pad, big enough for my fullnsized keyboard and enough for lots of mouse space. Peefect balance between fast and controlled in my mind. Love the rgb, works great and matches the steelseries keyboard perfectly.

I want to give this 5 stars more than anything, but unfortunately it has to be what it is. I had this headset a while back and decided to buy again. Turns out the audio drivers do not sound like I remembered. The audio is very sub par. I've learned a little so far and changed some of the EQ settings to make it sound alright. I have had IEMs for a while and have been happy with that. The mic is also TERRIBLE for this price. Good think I have an external mic. I am going to keep this headset still.
