I had to return this controller because Windows 8 has a lot of trouble recognizing the controller and most games just don't like it or the drivers.

I bought this controller because one game I have won't work properly with an XInput controller (the left and right triggers MUST be independently accessible, and older games don't work like that with XBox game pads.) For that game, this game pad works just fine. There's nothing particularly wrong with this controller, but it's just not quite as nice as my XBox game pads. My only real complaint is that once I turn on "turbo" for a button, there's no way to turn it off without unplugging the controller. This means restarting the game, which is kind of annoying. So it gets a 4 out of 5 because while everything works, the "turbo" function is annoying and unnecessary.

Decent controller. Using it with an iMac, so it was a bit of a pain to set up, but that's not the controller's fault. Does what it should.

I bought this to play games on my Dell N5050 Inspiron laptop. I followed the instructions to hook it up. The sales person at the Eagan, MN store guaranteed me that it would work. It didn't work with the software included. I went to the company website and downloaded the updated version for Windows 8.1 . I downloaded the software and tried to use the device. It is not recognized by windows 8.1 or the games I was trying to play. The XBOX controller with rumble capability worked immediately and was recognized by Windows 8.1 and Choplifter 3D HD simultaneously. The XBOX controller works with all the games I have on my laptop and the emulators as well. I wish I could return it and the other Steelseries controller I have not opened , but am worried I am too late to do that.

This product was absolutely useless. I tried playing skyrim for pc and this controller could not be configured to work with the game. Others online were suggesting a third party software solution. Really? Steel series says it is plug n play. Not a chance. It was suggested to me by a Game Stop employee that I use an Xbox 360 controller. I bought the wired version they said would work. Wow what a difference that made on my Windows 7 PC. Plug n play right out of the package.

Personally, I like the XBox One controllers for PC gaming, but I have a couple of games that just don't like the XBox game pads; mostly the problem is the triggers - they don't see the triggers as two separate inputs. So I got this controller specifically for playing those games, and it works great. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the "turbo" function once it's on for a button, and I have to manually enable analog stick mode by pressing the mode button every time I use this controller. For the price, it's well worth it.

This thing has THE worst deadzone, people want to say the dualshock 3 controller has a huge deadzone for the analog sticks? HAH!! They haven't played with this thing, it DOES NOT register movement until its tilted exactly 50-60% if not close to a full tilt. Just save the money, unless you are legacy gaming with this controller. 1.0 out of 10 don't even bother with it. Some how sponsored by SKGaming...
