Very good mouse! been using it for only 1 week but for the price there is no better mouse! If your gamming all day the battery is annoying but overall its a solid mouse

If you are looking for a great budget wireless mouse, look no further. The mouse is lightweight but not too light, feels solidly built, fast response time, and the ability to switch between bluetooth and 2.4ghz wireless connections quickly and easily. The performance is great and feels like it’s punching above its weight class with the sheer amount of customization options opened up to you once you download its GG software. This mouse feels like it could be used for professional FPS play. You have the ability to change X and Y DPI sensitivity independently, adjust polling race, angle snapping, and many other options. The fact that they have four color options as well, this is a recipe for success. I’ve had many Steelseries products and they’ve all held up quite well so I feel confident about the build quality now and in the future.
My list of cons are short, I have big hands and while it’s not too small, it’s on the smaller side. And while I wish it was charged via USB-C, it uses 2 AAA batteries. I have rechargeable batteries so it’s not a deal breaker and I’m sure for some they would rather have this than USB-C charging.
Overall this is a fantastic choice if you are a gamer on a budget or even if you are not, the Steelseries Rival 3 Gen 2 mouse is an easy hit.
Pros:
Excellent price
Feels great to use
Great performance
Many color options
GG Software offers a lot of customization
Cons:
A little small for someone with big hands
2 AAA batteries and not USB-C charging (a pro for some)

This is my first SteelSeries product and I’d have to say I’m very impressed by it. It has a solid build quality without being overly heavy. It connects right away with no lag or loss of signal. The buttons have a nice feel. The wheel moves smoothly without feeling loose. Hopefully it stays that way. I’ve had more issues with the scroll wheel on other gaming mice than any other kind of problem. Keep in mind this is a gaming mouse. Sure, you can use it for just about anything else as well. But gaming is why you buy this. So what makes for a good gaming mouse? For me the first thing is comfort. It has to sit just right in my hand. Otherwise gaming can become uncomfortable quickly. So far, this has been very comfortable. Second is how well it glides. I don’t think a lot of people think of this before hand. It needs to glide smoothly without feeling any kind of resistance. This of course also depends on the surface you have it on, but on my glass pad it’s been great. And finally, responsiveness. I’ve found no lag and great responsiveness with the several games I’ve tried. Overall this is a great gaming mouse for anyone who needs a solid gaming mouse experience without breaking the bank.

This mouse is simple to use and has just the right number of advanced features. It is light and fits your hand well. AAA batteries are included and is ready to go out of the box. You have the option of connecting directly to Bluetooth or with the included doogle. I prefer the doogle for the lower latency in speed. The optional GG software is well worth downloading if you are a serious gamer. It allows a wealth of configuration features to get it setup just the way you like. An added bonus is that has a 3D Aim Trainer function that allows you to practice FPS shooting.
The mouse clicks are fluid the wheel function is smooth as well. I found I had more control in my favorite FPS games than I did with a much more expensive mouse. I also have Steelseries keyboard and the two complement each other well. I like that I can see the status of both in the software and update each with ease. The battery life seems to be very good, and I prefer batteries over having to charge for quickly getting back in the game when low power.

Pros:
Easy to switch between Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless
Uses removable batteries, so you can swap rechargeables instead of plugging in
Solid build and comfortable grip with responsive buttons
Software is simple but lets you customize DPI, polling rate, lift-off distance, and power settings
Cons:
Heavier than most wireless mice, and feels back-heavy because of battery placement
Scroll wheel feels soft and mushy, not very precise
The switch on the bottom to change wireless modes is stiff and tricky to use
Good all-around wireless mouse — just a couple small annoyances
I really wanted to like the SteelSeries Rival 3 Gen 2 Wireless, and honestly, it gets a lot of things right. The build is solid, it feels durable, and having both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless means I can jump between my desktop and laptop without messing around with connections. That’s a huge plus if you’re like me and switch devices often.
The removable battery setup is what really caught my attention. I’ve mostly used wireless mice with built-in batteries, but being able to swap rechargeable AAAs means I can keep one set charging while the other’s in the mouse — so no plugging in cables all the time. Super convenient. Just a heads up though, it only comes with disposable batteries, so you’ll need to grab rechargeables and a charger on your own if you want to make the most of it.
Battery life is solid — I got about a week out of one battery before swapping it. Even so, it’s heavier than I’d like, especially since the battery sits near the back. That makes it feel a little back-heavy when you move it fast, which is noticeable in games or quick movements. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of.
Comfort-wise, it’s pretty good. The grip feels nice, and the buttons click snappily. The scroll wheel works fine but has a softer, mushier feel than I’m used to — it’s not super precise, which bugs me a bit.
Now, the SteelSeries GG software surprised me in a good way. It’s clean and easy to navigate — no unnecessary fluff, just the stuff you need. You can customize DPI, polling rate, lift-off distance, and tweak battery saver settings to balance performance and battery life how you want. Plus, it lets you set different profiles for Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz modes, which makes switching devices smoother.
The software also handles firmware updates in the background, so you don’t have to stress about keeping the mouse up to date.
One little frustration is the switch on the bottom that toggles between Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, and off. It’s stiff and kinda tricky to get into the middle “off” position without a struggle. Luckily, the mouse has a good auto-sleep mode, so I don’t have to deal with turning it off manually much.
All told, the Rival 3 Gen 2 Wireless is a solid, flexible mouse. If you want long battery life and an easy way to switch between devices, it’s definitely worth a look. Just know it’s a bit heavier than some other wireless mice out there, and the scroll wheel might feel a little off if you’re picky.
For what I do — bouncing between work and gaming — it’s pretty solid. Not perfect, but good enough to keep in the rotation. If you’re after something lighter or want a sharper scroll wheel feel, you might want to check out other options. But if convenience and battery life are top priorities, this mouse does the job.

I got this to replace an aging mouse I have at my office that is starting to have clicking and accuracy issues. I liked this one because it met my criteria of affordable, gaming specs, and customizable. I have had a few products from this company and I figured I'd give it a try. It uses 2aaa batteries, which are included. It claims good battery life, normally most battery powered mice take a single aa, but we'll see. I wanted battery powered so I didn't have to have stop and wait for a charge if I accidentally ran it dead, I could just swap and go with no cable impedance. This connected easily by both 2.4ghz and bluetooth connection. The dongle stores between the batteries under the cover when not in use. I will generally use it bluetooth to keep my ports free on the computer. This had a steel series gg application you can download and when this is connected by the dongle, you can customize settings like separate x and y axis sensitivity, the polling rate, and how it tracks acceleration/ deceleration sensitivity. This is one of the first i have had at this price with an app like this that works. This has a good solid feel, the clicks are adequate, and there is a good click sound. It is not like some of my other quiet mice I have. This works well. And seems to be a good value at this price. I have to give it five stars. There is nothing I can reduce stars form I would reccomend this.

The SteelSeries Rival 3 Gen 2 Wireless gaming mouse has some solid pros: dual wireless modes (Bluetooth + 2.4 GHz), runs on AAA batteries (which can be rechargeable), and has a comfy, durable build. Plus, those Aqua and Lavender colors? Nice.
Swapping batteries is super easy, and if you’re using rechargeable ones, you’ll pretty much never run out of juice—just keep a spare set charged. Battery life holds up nicely, especially if you only use one to shave off some weight.
But... 95 grams is still chunky. Compared to other budget mice, or slightly pricier ones, this one feels heavy. The back-weighted battery placement makes it feel clunky when flicking in games.
Also, the scroll wheel is great. It’s but mushy for my state, and for a mid-range price, that’s kinda rough.
Sensor-wise, it’s fine for casual gaming, but if you’re into ultra-competitive shooters, the tracking isn’t quite top-tier.
If you game casually and also want a mouse that’s easy to take to work or use on a laptop, this one's a solid multitasker. Just know you’ll need to buy your own rechargeable batteries to really get the most out of it.
A good mouse for switching between devices, nice battery life setup, and totally fine for everyday gaming. But if you care about weight, scroll feel, or top-tier performance, maybe keep looking.

Wow, in the PC world where RGB this and RGB that it's refreshing to see Steel Series come out with a very clean, suited for purpose gaming mouse.
I love that the only LED is the one under the scroll wheel that lets you know what the DPI setting is, if you can remember which color goes with which DPI. Still, its well received for me.
The wireless mouse can connect to your computer via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz with the included dongle. In a matter of seconds my PC was setup with the Rival 3. Of course the Steel Series GG software download request came up almost immediately. I have several Steel Series products so I already had a GG account and after the install and log in I was up and running.
The glides are perfect... super smooth. Buttons are crisp with good tactile feedback. So far I'm impressed. Controls are simple, only 4 regular buttons and the DPI switch and scroll wheel switch... all are programmable via the Steel Series GG app. In GG you can adjust polling rate which sends mouse position to the computer. The Rival 3 maxes out at an impressive 1000Hz. I also like that you can adjust the acceleration and deceleration sensitivity, as you move the mouse from side to side/up and down the cursor will speed up and slow down to get you to the point on the screen quicker or slower.
Simple is sometimes better. 5 stars!
