Maintains decent weight despite added buttons, really impressed by this mouse. Great competitor in the market. Tracks are smooth, all buttons pleasantly tactile. Outcompetes razer and PCMR in many areas, including affordability

My son loves this mouse. It is lightweight and extremely customizable. The look and feel are perfect and the price was a steal especially since its packed with so many features. Im so happy to see that Best Buy is providing a physical store with access to prices that compete with Amazon.

    Great versatility/adjustment w/the SteelSeries App

Great mouse almost all around, but the scrool wheel felt tough to move for the first few months, and after a little over a year the wheel needs to be cleaned, meaning taking it apart which requires removing the glides that are glued to the bottom, which will be bent unless careful, potentially needing replacement glides which SteelSeries does seem to still sell on their store. If you have animals that shed like i do, expect a year before you have to deep clean/replace at least the gliders l.. at most the entire mouse. Just cleaned mine, soften glue with alcohol painstakingly pulled glue off without bending the glides, and id say that the time and effort because of how they design these glides to cover screws is just not worth it for most people. Get the Geek squad of bestbuy replacement thing and/or accept the negatives i have mentioned before buying this mouse.

Mouse is super responsive and feels great. Mouse is on the larger side so side button placement fits my hand perfectly but if you have smaller hands it may be too large for you. Clicking is on the louder side but not too bad. Great mouse for the value.

Lightweight yet firm, buttons and DPI responsive, the ridge and width at the back is perfect to fit huge hands perfectly (can palm a basketball) compared to the G502 Hero which narrows too much in the back and is heavier, price very affordable compared to other brands. Play games from Rocket League to Minecraft mouse feels like extension of my hand

Steel series has great quality products at good price points. This mouse is a prime example. Good build quality and feel while using. Optics are on point with wide range of DPI settings allowing you to adjust from slow to very fast response which is great for gaming. Also has 9 programmable buttons. Plug and play for ease of use. Customizable RGB lighting is a great feature as well. All in all this mouse is great for gaming and has plenty of customization allowing you to tailor it for specific games or other uses.

Its a decent mouse! I use this one as my backup for travel. I have no complaints other than its pretty light and has pretty high dpi. Im sure you can change it somehow but I havent tried to figure out how. I prefer a hefty mouse (my main mouse is a logitech g502 with all of it’s weights in. Ive used one for 6+ years) but this is a nice quality mouse I would happily use if I couldnt get another g502. Love the buttons on the side.

Great wired gaming mouse. I mainy use it for video editing with DaVinci Resolve. I really enjoy the placement of the buttons and the app to use to map those for use with my NLE. Overall it feels nice in hand and its customizable features are easy to navigate.

Really like this mouse. Used the Rival 650 for years playing LoL. Really like having that extra button on the side. Now with this new Rival 5 you get another button that sits on top of Mouse 4/5. It's unique in that the top button can be pressed in an up or down direction so you can technically use it for two separate functions. Because of this unique layout I think it's really a good option for MOBA and MMO games. It's comfortable enough where you could use it as a productivity mouse as well. Per FPS games I would look at something else. The cable stinks and it's a rather big mouse coming in at 80+ grams. Lastly, the new Steelseries software kind of stinks as well. It's super busy, hard to find things. Also, the RGB is tied into the software so be prepared to have the Steelseries bloatware installed if you want to take advantage of the otherwise great lighting.

this is one of two steel series. Mice that I have bought. Please see my other review about the one with way too many buttons. The design of this one would be perfect on the one with way more buttons it’s heavier, which actually is much nicer than a way too light mouse because when you have a way too light mouse with a whole bunch of buttons, it doesn’t work good because you can’t leverage your hand correctly while you’re playing the game to hit all the buttons this mouse, however, is heavy enough that it would be perfect if the two would just hump and make a perfect mouse anyways point being this one is amazing, but it could be better if it had a few more buttons and why won’t anybody just put a couple pinky buttons on the side of the freaking mouse one for your pinky one or two for your pinky actually maybe a little lever for your pinky maybe a little lever for your ring finger take five or six of the buttons from the left side and throw them on the other side Good Lord somebody do something. The only reason I’m giving this five stars is because I like the way it looks. I like the way it feels. I like the way it operates. I loved the price, but my disclaimer is somebody write an angry letter along with me to the people that make these things to pull their heads out and just make a better design for all of these mice us gamers have made these people rich do us a favor and make us play better

Awesome gaming mouse. Full of buttons, very easy to program and customize, super responsive, and durable. One of the buttons is a little hard to reach if you have small hands or particularly short thumbs, but it's not a significant problem. It also looks really cool.

I have owned the rival 600 for over a year so I’ll make some references to that mouse. I have average hands & the size feels just right. The 600 seems a little lower, longer & sleeker in my hand. I was hoping the 5 would have the same rubbery feeling as the 600 but no, plain plastic darn. Button layout is fine, I can even reach the “sniper” button w my thumb which I couldn’t do w the 600. The up or down toggle switch is a clever idea that works well.I liked that. Unfortunately it made it harder for me to use the forward & back switches. Seemed to be in the way of easy access, not terrible but affected my use. Rgb bright & nice looking. Glides ok. For those that care it’s quite a bit lighter than 600. If it had had the same texture as the 600 & larger side buttons it would have been a 10/10.
