Customers are enthusiastic about the Rival 600's customizable weight, vibrant RGB lighting, and comfortable design. Many appreciate the high build quality, precise sensor, and responsive performance, along with the extensive customization options offered through the software. However, some users have noted issues with the side button placement and durability of the grip, and a few find the price point to be relatively high. The best mouse I've used

I have used Razer Deathadders exclusively for the last 15 years and decided to try something different. I bought the Steelseries Rival 600 and was not disappointed. The mouse is perfect for my large hands, has awesome sensors and arguably the best rgb on any mouse in the game. The love that I could put the weights in the provided case and snap it onto the mouse wire so that they are always near by.

I love this mouse its a good fit for my hand and the steelseries software is easy to use. The only con i see with this mouse is that one of the side buttos is too far to reach comfortably since i use palm grip. So i find myself not using that button at all.

I bought this mouse because it felt good in my hands, but when I saw it had removable weights I was definitely skeptical on how I felt about it. Getting it home and messing around with the different weights, I instantly fell in love. You can perfectly customize it to your feeling. It can also help with aim in your games, if you are over aiming, increase the weight, under aiming, decrease it. The mouse is great and like any steelseries product. The steelseries engine lets you synchronize all of your devices so they aren’t out of place with the rest of your setup

Rival 600 is a great gaming rgb mouse with weights

Rival 600 is an excellent gaming mouse, it has extra weights, it feels great with a rubber finish. It has cool sexy RGB colors which it cycles through. I also use it for work and it is most efficient. I upgraded from a SteelSeries Sensei Wired Laser Gaming Mouse. Now that was also an excellent mouse too. This Rival 600 has 8 x 4g weights if you like a bit of extra junky in your trunky. 16 g on each side. 32 grams is not that much of a difference to me but I do like the extra weight. I play Doom, Wallenstein , Crysis 3 and Call of Duty and Battlefield. I would say the aim is 10 x more precise than with any standard mouse that comes with desktops. My favorite feature of the mouse is the chunky click wheel on top , it has a cool tyre track grooved which gives some rad traction action on your index finger. As for complaints, I did drop the mouse and the sides come off as they are magnetic and the weight do come out of place, to the degree where I lost one of the 4g weights. However the magnetic sides do plop back in to place like Tony Starks Iron man suit. Added bonus i play in bed resting mouse on my sweatpants leg and its still super responsive. Some complain about it having a rubber cable not a braided cable, its not a big deal.

Would have been great if not for the side panels

Given how much I loved SteelSeries headsets, I decided to give their mouse a try when it came time to replace my previous one. Unfortunately I ended up disappointed. The Rival 600 has two detachable side panels with a rubber piece glued across each. I've had to replace the right side panel twice because the rubber dislodged on its own and left my fingers exposed to the sticky glue underneath. The first time was about 6 months after I bought the mouse and the second time was about 3 months after that. This was after using it for around 3-4 hours each night during that time period. I ultimately gave up replacing it after the second time and just wiped the glue off. Unfortunately this week after about a year and half of ownership, the rubber panel on the left side has also decided to peel off. I wanted to like this mouse because everything else about it was great. It was responsive while gaming and the RGB lights were easy to assign in the SteelSeries program. Before the rubber side panels started falling off, it did feel comfortable in my hand. I don't know if it's just a case for the way the Rival 600 is designed, but I would recommend avoiding this model.

I had all the top Razer products and one by one they fell apart. I started replacing them with SteelSeries gear and I couldn't be happier. This is the best performing mouse I've ever had and the software controls all of my gear without the junk that other companies throw into theirs.

Excellent mouse, solid and great lighting effects. I use this mostly for RTS or more casual shooter games since it’s a little heavy for fast paced FPS. Fits my claw-palm grip well, and I like that it’s a bigger mouse. (Gwolves Hati for scale in picture)

Good mouse overall. However, pads would slide and the adhesive would get on your hands and the mouse. And after two years, the right click has died. I’m a league player so it’s right clicks all day. Lasted two years. I’m not sure what the expectation is but I hoped it would last longer.

I recently bought a razer basilisk because it was larger then my Logitech g503 and had 3 side buttons. I heard this noise was larger then my basilisk and that’s exactly what I wanted. Upon unboxing it looks very nice, it has a cheap feeling to it at first but as you play you realize it is quality plastic that is so light it feels flimsy but is very sturdy. It is the largest mouse I’ve had to date (not by much) and I love the size, it tracks flawlessly. The no pick up movemovement feature took some getting use to, I also had to up my dpi 200 to adjust for it. The LEDS are absolutely the best part of this mouse, 8 different sections to customize Any color you want. Lastly, the Side buttons, they are out of reach and require way to much actuation. If it had it Bigger and easier to press side buttons this would be the best mouse ever. Giving it another week to see if I perform better with it, but the side buttons are really putting a damper on this.

Great gaming mouse for macOS (And Windows)

One major requirement I had for buying a gaming mouse was that the manufacturer support macOS with their customization software. Steelseries has pretty good software that runs great on mac as well as Windows, I've used it on both. You can even sync your profile/settings across multiple machines. This mouse has a really good feel to it, has tunable weights included, lighting effects are pretty fancy, and the second sensor to detect how high you have lifted it off of the pad seems to work pretty well in my experience. I honestly don't have much to compare it to though so... All in all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others as well.

Steelseries really knows how to please a gamer. Their software is excellent (doesn’t crash at all compared to Corsair) and the sensor they have put into this mouse immediately makes it the most competitive in the market. On top of that the mouse feels great, has adjustable weights, and the RGB looks great with 8 individually customizable zones. It’s a medium sized to larg mouse so keep that in kind. Love mine, I have two of them. One for my desktop and one I carry with my laptop.

Is this the best gaming mouse, period?

For years I played games using an ordinary $19 mouse. It worked and I got by with the two buttons. Now with the RGB lighting craze, I wanted to up my bling on my gaming rig. I searched online and read a lot of reviews about gaming mice. So many people praised the SteelSeries mice, I just had to try it out. At first, I thought, "It's a mouse, what can be so great about it?" I tried it in the store and was impressed with the build quality. All I really wanted was the lighting, so I bought it. Once home I started trying out all the lighting options, and there are many. I was ready to just leave it as is and go play some games. But wait, what are these metal blocks? REading the manual (yes a manual for a mouse), I realized these are weights to customize the feel of the mouse. Let me tell you it makes all the difference in gaming. My mouse has a heft that gives me a confident feel when scrolling around and aiming. I adjusted my resolution to my exact liking. It is the perfect setting for me uniquely. Honestly, I can never go back to another mouse, even for non-gamin activities. If you're in the market for a gaming mouse, please do yourself a favor and try the SteelSeries Rival 600 (650 if you want wireless). Your gaining will thank you.

Nice size & weight, fits my average sized hand perfectly. Majority of surfaces have a rubbery feel different from any of the other 8 mice I own, pleasant and enjoyable, good grip. Rgb is the very best, great looking mouse. Sniper button a hair too far forward for me, if it slanted towards back instead of front it’d be perfect. Only 2 dpi settings a slight minus, usually plenty but I’m used to more. Great mouse, in my top 4 (m65 pro, g502, kone aimo) lives up to all the hype.

I can't think of anything bad to say..... The build quality is great. The detachable grips that holds the customizable weight system is awesome. The RGB plays nice with other Steelseries products. This mouse is a great edition for first person or 3rd person shooters! For desktop tasks, it's super smooth without any pauses or glitches.

Really simple, just needed a mouse with more than two buttons on a side. This is a solid mouse with a simple action to add/remove weights. Build and materials feel as they did when I bought it around two months ago. Of course the lighting is a nice aesthetic touch and a really top notch sensor especially with slow movements. I do recommend!

Rival 600 is the most fantastic mouse I have ever put my oversized hands on. It immediately felt great and it just molded to my hand so well. The sensors felt very snappy. And my aim is 10x more precise than with any corsair and razer mouse I've used. The rgb looks nice. The software wasn't difficult to navigate for me and hasn't seemed bloated or made computer sluggish. It's a near perfect mouse in every way and has immediately made me better at the games I love. The R+L clicks on the front are a separate piece of plastic from the body, meaning your fingers resting will be less likely to accidentally hold the buttons down. (had this problem with corsair glaive and m65.) scroll wheel is easiest scroll wheel click I've felt. The list just goes on. As long as the mouse lasts a long time, it's the best. Time will tell, but right now I'm gushing about it every day. Screaming my love for this mouse from the rooftops. Cons The finish feels slippery but has not proven to be a problem in game.

Look, is this particular mouse over priced? Perhaps. There’s a lot to love here. It feels very comfortable, especially for those with larger hands like myself. There are three buttons on the side to map out, which may not seem like that big of a difference but quickly shows it’s value. The amount of choices you have with the led lights are also very satisfying. Combine that with the included weights helps make this thing VERY customizable. Overall, I have no complaints with this thing. It may be the best mouse I’ve owned. That being said, it is a bit to pricey in my opinion. I do not regret the purchase, but make sure it’s what you really want before making the final decision.
