Son wanted wireless for gaming but the construction was flimsy. Also, had to do research on Internet to get wireless to work by changing USB power options which was quite obscure & difficult to find. Prefer plug & play.

Do not purchase this mouse! I had it for 40 days and the left mouse button stopped working properly. Contacted Steel Series and they request all the info for a warranty replacement and then followed with," We need a video now to show the issues." When I let them know that i did not have a camera to record the mouse and the issue on my screen at the same time i was told to ship it to them at my own expense.

    Switches failing after 9 months

Warning: I started using this of April, 2020. It is Jan, 2021 now and the two main switches started having intermittent misses. I carefully opened it, inspected the switches, and found that they have essentially gone bad after 9 months of medium use. 20 hours of gaming a week, some clicking. At any rate, the claim on durability is not panning out. Had to return to my HyperX that still works.

Would give 0 stars if it could. The whole mouse is cheap, didn't last more than 6 months. It started off by the "stickers" on the side that peel off, leaving a sticky residue, making holding the mouse disgusting and sticky. Then eventually, the buttons get stuck and everything just stopped working all together. Do NOT recommend, this or any of steelseries products any more after this.

I had 2 of them and they both did the same think ...they would work fine for a couple of days the they BOTH would start typing 10,12,15 of the same letter and even though they had the sleep in them they would go to sleep and the only way they would wake up was to take out the receiver and plug it back in !!!! Save your money buy something decent....... I bought a Logitech G903 ZERO PROBLEMS and was $30.00 CHEAPER !!!!!

Firmware kept failing to install. Mouse failed after 1 month. Best buy said I would have to deal with steelseries. I pitched it in the garbage and bought a Logitech g903.

Love this mouse I don’t really notice any latency issues that people speak of when talking about wireless mouses. The only issue this has is the charger it comes with doesn’t really fit in the charger port so you have to find a different one other than that this is amazing.

    Excellent mouse

It's been a process of buy and return trying to find my perfect mouse. I tried the Logitech G Pro, G502, Corsair Dark Core SE and even the Steel Series Rival 310. After all that the Rival 650 Wireless is the mouse for me. The BIGGEST things that made me settle for this mouse are the scroll wheel and their weight system. I could not stand the Logitech mice's free scrolling wheel. I would routinely overshoot or just be moving my mouse around and the scroll wheel would move a line or two. Super annoying. The mouse wheel on this one has definitive clicks and does not scroll on it's own. VERY happy with that. Second big deciding factor was the customizable internal weight system. I like it better than Logitech's and was able to find a happy weight for me by adding 16g (two on either side balanced in the middle). Constructive feedback for SteelSeries: I wish some of the weights were 2g instead of all of them being 4g. I would have loved to test the feeling of 12g or 14g. Other than that all the buttons are easily reachable for me and the DPI quick change button is very handy.

Low quality grip adhesive not worth the price

    Posted .

I purchased this mouse in July 2019. The finger grips started coming off only 5 months later due to the cheap adhesive failing. Right out of the box, the mouse has a nice feel to it and has a good size and weight. It has weights that can be added making it feel more solid which is what I like. Unfortunately, due to the difficulty in getting the driver installed and the fact that the grips are coming off after not even 6 months use, I have to give it a 1 star rating. For something that costs over $100, the durability is worth less than a $30 logitech mouse.

    Not a very good mouse

This mouse is not very good at all, it's really heavy so you can't move it around easily at all, the grip is absolutely terrible which is not good with a heavy mouse, also the grips will 100% of the time come off because the stuff that steelseries used to glue them on is terrible and you will be forced to buy replacement. I would highly recommend getting a lighter mouse, I got an aerox 3 to replace this and now I have to return it because out of nowhere the wireless completely stopped working which is apparently a huge problem that people don't have a fix for.

Garbage mouse, Zero Stars. Wireless connectivity goes out all the time, in the middle of matches. Contacted Steel Series support and went through everything they suggested, problem still persists. I supposed in wired mode it's good, but not why I purchased a wireless mouse.
