Much better performance over my original Roku device, which was freezing and crashing with some apps. Love the form factor for portability and the ability to control my TV's power and volume functions with the Roku remote. No more HDMI cable needed either!

Best streaming device for the price. 4K HDR at 60 Fps. Streams extremely fast over wifi and I thought I would have to purchase the ultra for an ethernet but the dual band mimo advance wireless is superior.
Got it with 30 days of sling TV for free and it also made sling TV look not bad for live TV when the other devices made sling look like crap. This made it look great.
I can't even imagine how good it looks with live streaming TV with YouTube TV live, Hulu Live, and PS VUE. Direct TV now had great had great quality at 60 fps but when switching channels you would have to wait about 5 seconds... As for sling you don't but I can't compare it for the others.
Don't waste your money on anything else lower than the streaming stick plus (+) and don't confuse it with the regular stick. The express plus or anything other than this is a waste of money. This gives you everything you need... Unless you want to listen to TV with headphones, unnecessary ethernet plug in since the wireless technology build in is superior, something Xbox and ps4 should learn from. A micro USB slot which is unnecessary imo. So if your in for the best bang for your buck grab this streaming stick Plus.
4K at 60 GPS True HDR superior wifi If you used any previous roku products I'd understand why you would hesitate because I did at first as well.
Trust me on this and the Plus is like a completely whole new product its a completely whole new tier of the Roku line. Good job!

This 4K Roku Streaming Stick+ does everything it's supposed to do, it works flawlessly. It was very easy to install and set up. I've used it on two TV's and the remote has no problem controlling volume and power on and off to the TV's. Voice search works great. I moved a TV to my garage but the ancient Roku Stick I had wouldn't connect to my W-Fi as it was out of range. I tried an old Amazon Fire Stick but that couldn't connect to my Wi-Fi either. I put this Roku Streaming Stick+ and it connected without issue. It has plenty of speed and streams perfectly. I highly recommend this device.

Best Streaming Stick!

This device beats out Chromecast Ultra, Amazon FireStick, and even the Apply TV! The Roku operating system is so user-friendly and kind to the eyes, that it makes Amazon look so mid-2000s. Chromecast, though powerful, lacks it's own OS in a way, so what's the point if it doesn't even have a dedicated remote?! The Roku Streaming Stick+ is the best way to have a full blown 4K HDR experience on your television that no built-in smart tv OS will ever compare. Plus, having the Roku smart remote that can control the power as well as volume of your TV, almost makes your TV remote absolute (except for changing inputs). Buy this! Simply buy this! You will not regret it and if you're contemplating between this item and the Roku Ultra, buy this for the TV's in the Bedrooms, and save the Ultra for the Living Room TV.

I bought this as a gift for my mother because I have used the big four common streaming platforms: Roku, Chromecast, Firestick, and Apple TV. Based on what she needed, this Roku stick worked perfectly. Here were some of the highlights:
1. It was easy to set-up. She subscribes to cable, so I was able to log into some of the individual apps without any issue.
2. It's future-proof. It supports the latest updates to some apps, but in particular Discovery+, HBO Max, and the future Paramount+. It also supports 4K, which she does not have, but was thinking about upgrading her TV soon. Right now, she doesn't have any TVs that have smart apps, so this also worked well.
3. The voice search is very user-friendly. She was able to pick up on this pretty quickly and enjoys this feature a lot.
4. Loves the simplicity of the software itself and the remote. We were able to also program her TV and soundbar to the remote, so the simple, singular remote for her devices is what she enjoyed.
So far, she hasn't had any issues. But as someone who's used Roku before, it's been great to see her pick this up real quickly. Roku is so great!

Enjoying My Roku Streaming Stick+

I am very satisfied with this Roku Streaming Stick+. In fact, this is the third Roku I have purchased. One was a gift for my mother and the other two were for two other televisons. This streaming stick was inexpensive and real easy to install. I love the added features such as, options to change the screen themes and have themes that automatically change to reflect the changing seasons and holidays. That is really neat.
I also like that the interface is clean and not busy. This makes it easier for me to see what I am looking for. Also, there are a wealth of apps available to install. The remote that comes with the Roku Streaming Stick is easy to use. It's lightweight and fits well in my hand. The only thing, which is not a biggie, I keep accidently pressing the mute button because it is on the right side under the volume button. I wish it were higher up on the side of the remote or even on the front. That aside, I am enjoying every minute of streaming with the Roku Streaming Stick+.

I was shocked this was as inexpensive as it is, but opens a whole world of fantastic TV, even if you only take the free stuff. I'm not ever going back to cable. This couldn't be easier to use, you literally just stick it in the back of the TV and follow the directions. The remote is easy to use, although I find the voice control not as intelligent as it could be. I asked it to find me a movie and it did but it offered only rentals when that very movie was on my existing hulu subscription for free. It's okay though, I don't really need voice anyway because I usually don't know what I want to watch until I go look around. If I do use it, it would be for basic "open hulu" or whatever and it does that fine. The rest of the remote is fine. I have the lowest internet connection my provider offers (25 mbps) and I haven't had it stop and buffer even once-- but I also live alone and wouldn't be on more than one or two devices at a time. I've watched TV and used my ipad at the same time and still had no buffering on either device. Perfectly happy with this item.

I changed from a 4k firestick to this Roku SS+ and prefer the Roku. I like the menu better, has a better remote and outstanding 4K picture quality and sound. It is easy to set-up and pair with your internet and TV and you can adjust things further if you wish. My only issue is all my Roku remote control functions work for my Sony X900H TV except the side volume up/down and mute buttons. The reason is I have a older Vizio soundbar 5.1 system that connects directly to the TV via a digital optical cable only and this older soundbar does not have a HDMI connection as the newer ones due so a future upgrade on that front is in order. Overall this is a great Roku 4k streaming device as we have cut the cable for good and get so much better picture and sound quality with streaming vs. cable. I also have the Roku Ultra 2020 in the mancave full surround sound room with same TV, av receiver, full surround speakers and it works great with no issues at all.

We only have 1 Roku TV, so it was difficult for everyone else to watch Hulu and Disney+ with TV’s that doesn’t have those apps. I decided to get this and it’s basically like having a Roku TV, but way cheaper. It was overall very easy to set up with simple picture instructions. Can also connect to phone which is great because you can change apps, volume, etc. It has Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Disney+, Spotify, there’s also adult swim (free), and much more to choose from. Highly recommend for those that don’t have Smart TV’s that don’t have Hulu and Disney+!

It was the first time I bought a streaming stick, and I also purchased Fire Stick at the same time. Both are good products, but so far I absolutely love the Roku stick! Its menu is extremely easy to navigate, set up is amazing, I did not need a plug and could just plug it to tv with a usb cable that is provided in the box, which is a massive bonus considering I hate cables hanging behind my TV. The fact that I can take it anywhere with me is an added bonus, and I love how easy it was to set up initially. Also its remote comes with volume and on/off button, so you don’t need multiple remotes, which is great as my remote broke and I still haven’t gotten to getting a new one. Would highly recommend it if you want to get rid of cable, there are tons of stuff you can watch, and if you have Netflix and Disney + like I do you need nothing else! The speak function is great if you have kids, my almost four year old can’t use the remote but just saying “play frozen on disney” is enough for him to start watching a movie without my help.

The two main benefits that I get from this product are movies on demand and saving money (by cutting out unwanted programming). If you are thinking of "cutting the cord" but have a lot of programs which you are still devoted to on cable/satellite, then I wouldn't immediately switch over yet to streaming without some research (not at least before considering program availability, streaming devices and apps/channel options, and then ultimately any cost difference with switching).
Roku layout isn't for everybody (as with regular cable users accustomed to search guides), but then again, it isn't at all complicated either. (I find it comparable to most smart phones.) They are offering apps to make streaming to be more like watching tv (like XUMO and PlutoTV) to make transition to "cord-cutting" easier. (Tivo also has a product out now appealing to this, but it may be outside it's "promotion" sale and doesn't have all the features or apps and cannot do everything that I appreciate the Roku for.)
Concerning this Roku, I think picture quality is great (even on the HOME menu)! The concealed HDMI stick design work well for my wall mount and TV. I live in a rural area and connectivity is still good. (This model has a dual band. If you are wondering about different Roku models, then certainly look into this.) Battery life and size on the remote could be better or improved. However, I was aware of the size of the remote prior to my purchase. Plus, voice-command saves time rather than typing in on screen. All-in-all, I am satisfied with my purchase.

With more and more TVs and game consoles these days having many of the features a Roku has, a Roku is still a great deal for those who don't have a smart media outlet. Not to mention that Roku has a bunch of different apps that many smart media doesn't have to make live in general easier. I mainly bought this because my current Smart TV doesn't have Fubo. Roku has this and much, much more.
Set up was easy. You can have it powered by either wall plug or through your TV with the USB cord. Interface is very customizable to make your Roku unique for you. The remote is quite intuitive and easy to understand for many of the apps.
There's not much else left to say. If you have just a plain TV, it's a perfect addition to spice up your older TV. The only thing I wish is that the media buttons were customizable so you can quick launch the apps you normally use. I do appreciate they added Disney+ to the button layout.

We purchased this because the cable to the kitchen TV stopped functioning properly and it was very difficult to run a new cable. It was relatively straightforward to install this on our TV and the picture quality is very good. We get our cable stations as well as additional stations through the Roku's connection to our home's wifi.
We really like this Roku's small size for use in the kitchen and like its remote's ability to turn the TV on-off and control the volume. We have another Roku that requires the TV remote to control the TV on-off and volume. One remote is better than two. This Roku allowed us to return one cable box reducing our monthly cable bill. It will pay for itself in four months.
There are three downsides to any of the Roku products. The first is the inability to directly input a channel number on the remote like one can with cable. This problem is reduced by setting up favorites so one has fewer channels to scroll through to get to the desired channel. The second downside is the inability to rewind what one is watching to see it again unless it is a show you have recorded. The third is it requires more steps to record a show, taking more time.
Other than these few inconveniences, this has been a great substitute for the broken cable. It is smaller than the cable box, it mounts on the rear of the TV much like a thumb drive, the connecting wires are shorter, and the picture quality is great. There is approximately a 15 to 30 second delay (I haven't timed it) with the Roku compared with the TVs connected to cable which hasn't been a big deal.

Purchased for the primary reason of having not to pay my Internet Provider for additional boxes. Set-up could not be easier. I used the AC power supply instead of the USB for improved power. There is a difference although minor. Picture quality is phenomenal and greatly exceeded expectations. Comcast has a Roku App for existing customers and it works great. Some functions such as setting up recordings on the DVR or deleting recordings are unavailable but that would be a nit pick.
I would like a remote that is a bit more robust in size and buttons visible in the dark. Voice command works perfectly.
After (3)three days I purchased a second unit for my wife's office to replace the Apple TV that was very cumbersome. She loves the one remote, one button for on/off and easy user interface. Compared to Chromecast I find this product superior for its simplicity of use.
So impressed I purchased a third ROKU as a gift for a family member.
Hoping for an upgraded remote as stated above but certainly not a game changer.
I would recommend this highly to anyone looking for smart TV features on non smart TVs.
Tons of available apps and it's great to hit one button to get to Netflix, Prime, Sling, and others.

Summary: If i was buying a streaming stick today, I would probably buy a Google Chromecast with Google TV
I got 2 of these units on a Black Friday Sale for $25 each (and a Roku Ultra for $50).
Interface is good, easy to follow. Having a built in DVR is an excellent feature that I use a lot. Thee Roku has make cutting the cord easy. Unfortunately, YouTube TV is now $70 - $75 / month, but the total amount of content is much better than cable
There are issues, though, with lag and unit freezing / resetting: I had to have the first Roku Ultra replaced because of these issues. I am also supposed to get 4K TV on my 65" TV, but the Roku states that my HDMI connection does not support 4K.
I finally got frustrated enough with these issues to buy a Google Chomecast with Google TV: Only had it for a few day, but i am likinng it. I am getting 4K streaming to my large screenn TV now. At the $50 price point, it would be an easy decision which (Google or Roku) i would buy today = GOOGLE
NOTE: Roku is certainly not terrible: below, i stated that i would recommend this to a friend. But i would also recommend a close eval of the Google also before deciding.

The unit works well and does everything it should in a small profile unit. It works perfectly well and does everything it should.
There were a few surprises though such as you need to connect this to a long cord with a mini usb port on the end that plugs into the flash drive on one end and ac power on the other. I believe this acts as the antenna for the unit. I expected this to just be like a flash drive and not require any other cables. I didnt especially like this, but I can say it is at the farthest corner of the house and it picks up my router without any signal issues.
I also originally bought the unit to work with my main TV and surround system and realized after purchase that since I use a logitech harmony remote the unit doesn't work with that all in one remote. So instead of returning it, I moved the unit to another tv in a bedroom and bought the Roku Ulitmate for the main Tv in family room. The Ultimate does work with the Harmony remote but some features need to be manually added to the remote to make it fully functional. Just be aware that the streaming stick+ does not work with Harmony remote. You will have to use the Roku remote to control the Roku box.
Since the ROku remote has voice control you may want to use the Roku remote anyway.
If you just want a great Roku device and will use the Roku remote to run it then you will be very satisfied with this unit. It is compatible with Direct TV Now also.
