I like the idea of a world without Superman and villains are forced to come in and save the day by any means they see fit.

This is a beautiful steelbook that actually includes the 4K disk as well!! You can't beat that as while most people don't have 4K devices yet, it is the wave of the future and I want more studios to include 4K and Blu Ray discs in their steelbooks. As for the movie itself I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Suicide Squad has received some negative reviews so I wasn't quite sure of what to expect but the movie in my opinion is very entertaining. The ensemble cast had good chemistry and though we did not get as much Joker (played by Jared Leto) as I had hoped when he was on the screen he was very memorable. Other performances from Will Smith as Deadshot, Viola Davis as tough as nails Amanda Waller and a very inspired great performance from Margot Robbie as the Joker's gal pal Harley Queen made the movie an exciting and fun ride. We also get a little of Ben Affleck's Batman in this movie as well. I think the movie is good and along with the 4K disk and this beautiful steelbook, it's definitely worth purchasing.

Like Marvel's movies, DC comics has created a universe of movies in which Suicide Squad is the newest installment. For those unaware of the comics of the same name, Suicide Squad is the nickname of a government run agency which takes the worst of DC's criminal element and puts them to work in missions that could end in their death. Considered expendable because of their villainous nature, a group is put together by the head of the agency, Amanda Waller (someone probably as evil as most of the villains). When a new super powered threat arrives, a team of criminals is thrown together under the supervision of a seal team. Popular villains Harley Quinn, DeathShot, Killer Croc and Captain Boomerang are among those that many fans will know, but if you aren't familiar with a villain on the team and start to like them, be worried since this is a suicide squad and not everyone will make it out alive. I actually think this might be the best of the 3 DC movies so far, but their is a different level of violence so parents of younger children might to check it independently before letting the kids watch it. This story has a magical theme to it making for another difference between the Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman stories of the first two dealing with aliens.

I was very optimistic about this adaptation, but after watching I was blown away!!!

Not as good as marvel but it kept my interest. Looking forward to the next movie!

hearing the concept of the movie, I thought I wouldn't like it. A bunch of supervillains being forced to fight for humanity, just the be the fall guys when something goes wrong, doesn't sound like an upbeat movie, but the characters run the gamut of a star-struck Joker groupie to a freak of nature to a father who supports his daughter by doing the only thing he knows how to do well, kill people for money. The different character types work well as a bunch of people who never met each other and initially hate each other grow into a band of brothers. And there's a couple funny jokes along the way. It understands it needs light-hearted moments to lighten the grim concept. Will Smith is best when he plays a likable guy, and he is as the daughter-suporting assassin. The 3D was just used for the exploding heads that crumble in all different directions. Other than that, nothing spectaular in terms of 3D. It's not worth the extra $5 for the 3d version, but is a surprisingly good movie.

I enjoyed this movie. I enjoyed Will Smith and Margot Robbie in their rolls. I recommend this movie.

Hard to describe this movie it's about supervillains becoming super hero's. I did enjoy this movie.

My first inclination of using villain's as hero's in a movie was this was not a good idea. However, after watching this movie and the way the actors bring these characters to live. Plus with writers delving into the background on what makes these characters tick, this turned out to be a very good popcorn movie. I particularly enjoyed the way that Will Smith rounded out the character of DeadShoot. Also the actress, Margot Robbie, nailed the character and made it believable that even a trained professional can lose themselves in a distorted love relation. The rest of the actors did a good job in rounding out the squad but I wish there had been more time to round out the rest of the characters in the squad. However, I would say the writers did a good job of making you feel for these other characters even though they didn't get the same time allotted to their development as did the previous mentioned villains. All in all a far better than average movie than I expected.
