43" Sunbright TV not worth the $$

Was told at time of purchase that this is a great TV for outdoors as it's waterproof. TV is in total shade and was great until it didn't turn on. Total Tech guys think it must have got hit with a power surge. So my question is why didn't BB carry or sell me into buying an outdoor surge protector?? None of my indoor Samsungs or Sony's blew out. Very expensive TV to die in less then 3 years.

TV does not last long! Do not waste your money
