For the price this has helped me in low light settings. Im a new photogapher getting gear and my photos look great. Eventually i would upgrade however this does the job well. Only con is i wish it told you the current battery status.

This flash is packed with features. Works with Canon or Nikon, and uses their TTL. Comes with a nice case, a stand and a diffuser,and can work remotely through infrared. Well made. A great flash at a fraction of the cost of the big boys.

This flash is awesome! I shot a wedding with it, and my only other point of reference is the Nikon SB-400, and this one is leaps and bounds more powerful than it. I shot bouncing the flash off the ceiling, and often adjusting the flash brightness for the occasion. No complaints!

This flash brings no features or technology that haven’t been around for decades. But...it is cheap, and it works well enough to serve as a back up or emergency use piece of gear. It’s difficult to complain about when it costs so little. I’d recommend it to beginners, or pros that are in a bind.

I don't use flash often, so I bought this as a lower priced replacement for previous Canon flash unit that broke. This flash seems like it has good functionality and power, but the owners manual that comes with it is very difficult to read, due to poor translation from another language.. Very hard to understand how to get in to the various modes, use as slave, etc. I don't understand why they don't rewrite the manual in understandable translation.

I'm a photographer hobbyist. This really elevated my game. Great features, high end look and feel but reasonably priced.

I am quite pleased with this flasd. It has multiple settings that allow powerfull enough flash methods in almost any kind of dituations. My pics are definitely bette. Also bought one for my saughters canon and simple enough for her to use and learn

This Sunpak DF 4000u worked perfectly right out of the box. There was a bit of a learning curve for me since I don’t shoot with a flash very often. Once I had it set up properly, it functions well. I think this is an excellent value for the price. I will be getting the battery pack to improve longevity!

This is an incredibly powerful flash for the piece. Very well built and easy to use. A great addition to my Nikon D3400.

At this price point I did not expect much but this flash is a great value. I am new to flash photography and was not sure what to get. The Best Buy customer service rep helped me pick this one. I had some Best Buy points as a bonus. This is very easy to use and will adjust itself to the light conditions you are shooting. I did not know the difference in flashes and went with TTL that will adjust flash while in automatic mode on your camera. No settings the flash as it will adjust on its command from the camera. Great value for a beginner.

Way cheaper than canon flashes and does the job. If you absolutely want a canon recommend getting a used one, other than that this one will work for most people. Especially if you are just starting out, or an amateur photographer. Works great.

I needed a flash on short notice to take pictures at a work conference. The little pop-up flash on my Nikon DSLR wasn't going to cut it. Being cost conscious I first bought a used Nikon flash with the same features that would have cost much more new. When it failed to work right I headed to my local Best Buy where they had a couple of these Sunpaks in stock. It did a great job. The tilt and swivel head, the pull out bounce card and diffuser all came in handy for different shots and were easy to use. I can also slave it to the pop-up flash on my camera for multi-flash lighting setups. I'm very pleased with it.

I have been looking for a flash similar to the one Walmart carried witch has been discontinued sun pack DF4000U has almost the same features for less money,that made it just right for me.

First, I’m not a professional photographer. This flash is easy to set up and works very well. I bought it to take some outdoor night pictures of my kids. The pictures turned out beautifully. I would definitely recommend trying this before spending a couple hundred dollars ona speedlite.

Okay so my external flash fits perfectly, so I'm not sure what these other reviews are going on about. For the price, I was very happy with my purchase as the one I originally wanted was over $200. FOR A FLASH. Final verdict: I am very glad I made this purchase.

This external flash is a great product — easy to use and works seamlessly with my camera. Highly recommended!
