    Descent tripod

I use the tripod primarily to videotape high school basketball games. The only improvement I would make is the mechanism holding the video camera on the tripod. As I'm filming I need to pan back and forth as the players move up and down the court. The tripod is basically made for stationary use and does not pan very well. I end up tightening the base down so it is tight when I pan completely right. When I move to the left, I'm basically loosening the screw which holds the camera on the base. It works but would be better if it had a swivel mount, which could be tightened to control ease of movement. Otherwise the tripod functions well. It is light and greatly improved over my last tripod which I used for 9 years.

I really enjoy this product. It performs as if it were a heavy weight or more expensive tripod. It is very light. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to adjust it or set it up the way I wanted. It goes up and down, can lock in a fixed angled position, has a built in level device which helps on a hill or when you want a level picture on uneven ground. The legs and neck both telescope, which allows a man of up to about 6' 6" to work with it and goes low enough that a height challenged individual could also feel comfortable using it. I couldn't have asked for a better device for the small price I paid for it. Secures and stabilizes my Canon camera really securely.

My 9 yo son loves shooting videos and my 13 yo daughter loves to take pictures, so this was a great gift for them both to share. They no longer have to try and prop up their devices to capture a shot which is great for them because the finished product comes out "better", and great for my piece of mind knowing that nothing will take a fall and/or break. There were smaller tripods that sold for more, so this was the least expensive to met their need and really help them get into their projects. *****I debated taking a star off for my heads up, but decided it shouldn't effect the overall rating of this product since it's not an actual "fault" of the tripod, so.....pay attention to the top of the tripod and the bottom of the device you plan on using. My daughter has an iPhone 7+, so we had to by an attachment that screwed on to the top of the tripod and then clamped on to the sides of her phone to hold it in place. AN ADDITIONAL PURCHASE MAY BE NECESSARY!!!****

This tripod is decent. Works ok for the Canon digital camera I bought. Light and eat to carry and fairly sturdy. Tripod head moves smoothly and locks down easily and tightly to keep the camera from moving. I found it isn't good for long exposure shots as it vibrates just enough the outfits cooler it blurry, but for standard stills it works good

I actually bought this for my daughter so she can use it with her iPhone. Wanted something lightweight since I knew she wouldn't be using it with a heavy camera. I am a professional photographer and have a professional tripod, so I could see that this one didn't have all the functions as mine did, so if you are looking for that, look elsewhere. For her, it was perfect and very lightweight but sturdy enough for her phone. Not sure if it would be practical for a heavy camera though. Best part is it is easily portable for traveling. Price was great also.

    Tripod for camera and binoculars

I use this tripod for my digital camera as well as my large astronomical binoculars. I wanted a steady platform because I use vintage glass lenses that weight more than the current designs. I find this tripod to be adequate for my uses. I do use a remote with the camera to reduce any shaking. With the astronomical binoculars I hang an additional 5 lo weight for stability and use anti shake pads on the tripod legs. For the price and build quality it works well.

I bought this for use with my mini-disc Sony camcorder to record daughter's school play. The pan and angle adjustments were just what I needed to capture the action on stage. I had never used a tripod before so I set it up and practiced a bit the day before the performance. It helped me to get familiar with the set up and head angle adjustment locks. Love the quick set up features: flip lever locks and the geared center column for height fine tuning once the legs are set. The center leg brace lock gave good stability and the level assisted greatly with leg height adjustments. It has rubber non-skid feet to keep it steady on floors. It will hold up to 8 lbs. of camera (include your lens and light attachments in this) .The sturdy aluminum tripod itself weighs 1.85 lbs which was nothing to carry. I may look into buying a carrying bag for it, or I may not, as it was no problem to carry it in hand. Just what I was looking for and good price to value.

It's very light and easy to carry around, this is perfect for recording, taking pictures, anything, you name it! It's the perfect height as well when fully extended, and supports holding the phone in portrait and in landscape. When it is folded up for travel I would recommend a bigger backpack, but it's fine to carry by hand. It does take a bit to figure out how to use it but it's a great overall tripod, would recommend it 10/10.

This is a relatively inexpensive tripod that does what it's supposed to do. It's more plastic than metal, but it's sturdy enough for occasional use. My son had a good time using it to make trick shot videos.

For $19, you get a really good product. Need to record my son’s basketball game on my phone. Very easy to set up and did a great job moving side to side for the court movement. I spread it out over two different heights on the bleacher and the levels work great to get it level.

The good thing is that its not pricey, its very light, has quick realese and thats good, have in mind that its for starters and not for professional use. The only thing is that i feel that the camera is secure while you hold it all the time because it feels that the camera will fall at any time. If you take it outside have in mind the wind because it may fall easily.

    Replacement For an Older Tripod

I bought this tripod as a replacement for one my wife has, but is broken. This one is lighter than the one it replaced, but is as strong and steady, if not more so, than the replacement. It features easy release legs that open with a flip of the release, and has a three way tilt and pan head. It is not like some tripods that have only a post that screws into the bottom of the camera. It has a full plate that screws in, which isn't a bad thing, just different than the broken one my wife has. I liked this one so much that I went back and bought one for myself, too!
